04:44 Better Lice Treatment Than Vaseline
Anyone that recommends using vaseline for head lice has never actually done it themselves, because if they had they would NEVER recommend it to anyone else. Because it’s absolutely horrible and will be something that you will definitely regret. Those that claim that vaseline kills lice bugs or lice eggs (nits) haven’t really read the studies on it. Vaseline only kills a percentage of lice bugs (not very helpful) and it only helps with lice eggs if it’s left on the hair for a full 10 days!!!
Are you planning on leaving vaseline on your child’s head for 10 days straight? Even if you do, you still won’t get rid of lice, because you won’t kill all of the lice bugs or all of the lice eggs (nits).
Instead, ditch the vaseline and learn how to do a professional lice treatment technique on your child at home and get rid of lice the same way that the pros do in Get Rid of Lice Like A Pro.
Get Rid of Lice Like A Pro: myliceadvice.com/how-to-get-r...
Get Rid of Lice Like A Pro is an online video course used by parents to cure their children of head lice (and super lice) in less than a day using the same technique used by lice professionals. No lice kits, no toxic chemicals, no retreatments. 100% Guaranteed to work!!
Each step of the professional technique is detailed and demonstrated by a lice expert in a series of short videos. You follow along on your child and by the end of the videos, lice is completely eliminated from your head and home. And it has a 100% money-back guarantee.
ABOUT YOUR LICE COACH: Theresa is a Registered Nurse, specializing in head lice . She has years of experience curing children of lice in her lice center and government work. She is the creator of MyLiceAdvice.com, one of the top lice informational websites in the world and she teaches parents how to get rid of lice in less than a day in the Get Rid of Lice Like a Pro online course.

Some people can use Vaseline and it works great. Thankfully, I am one of those people. I got the Vaseline out of my hair by using dish soap instead of shampoo.

@@user-yy9cl9le8x ,yep... The best part is that the Vaseline suffocates the eggs as well, and makes them WAY easier to get out of my hair.

So my kid came home from school with lice the other day, kids catch everything in kindergarten including these yucky things. I immediately took out Vaseline it was what my mom recommended. The way she told me to do it basically did the trick for my kid. I applied it generously all over his hair massaging it into the scalp and all hair strands. I left it on for 10 minutes and after that I divided his hair into sections then used a lice comb to remove them. The vaseline immobilized all the lice and made the eggs easy to slip from the hair and get caught by the comb. It took a while to comb everything off but I went over all sections of his hair 3 times until I felt satisfied they were gone. To remove the vaseline from his hair I washed his hair twice with dawn dish soap. It worked out great. I think most people think vaseline will work alone and just drown the lice and kill the eggs but for me it worked as a facilitator to remove them.

I'm glad that worked out for you. The meticulous combing was definitely what did the trick in that case.

They are impossible to get rid of and I can understand that Vaseline won't kill them because nothing does, but since I have used Vaseline, it is not that hard to get out of hair. Comfortable hot water and about three shampoos is all it takes.

Nits and lice eggs are not the same thing, but are often confused to have no difference.
Nit: hatched egg. White in colour and a bit further down the hair strand.
Lice eggs : unhatched egg. Has brown colour (the bug inside still) and is closer to the scalp

The problem with using Vaseline is that it left residue all over my hair that took forever to wash out

    • @Daniela598
      @Daniela598 2 года назад

True, I have curly hair and I wasn't able to wash it out afterwards. I tried dish soap, cornstarch and in the end what worked was canola oil. I do not reccomend to put cooking oil in your scalp since it can clog pores, what I had to do was apply it to the mess that was my hair and pray it would work. Fortunately it did, left my hair greasy as heck, but got the vaseline off. Of course, washing the oil off was hard too but not as hard as getting off the vaseline.

My Daughter is actually allergic to Baby oil... BUT... We Haven't Had Any Problems With Residue... I Use a Lice Comb Thoroughly Through Her Hair With Vaseline & Then Let Whatever Vaseline Is Left Behind Stay On Her Head & Hair Over Night... Next Day Use Antibiotic Dish Soap To Strip The Vaseline Bond... Then Rinse Thoroughly With Warm WATER & Shampoo As Usual To Keep Her Hair From Being Too Dried Out & Easier To Brush & Comb Through After Shower... I Skip Conditioner In The First Wash Out... That Same Night, She Goes Right Back To Her Regular Wash Routine & We Haven't Had Any Problems With This Remedy... But 👉 I DO LOVE THE RESULTS OF A VACUUM COMB & IT'S MUCH LESS MESSY & QUICKER TO CLEAN UP AFTER!! 💯 ((And Right Away, She's Free To Go Back Out To Play With Friends In The Neighborhood & They Never Even Suspect We Just Finished A Live Treatment ••Sometimes We Do A Once Over Just To Check & Be Sure She's Lice Free After School & Besides Setting Still & The Comb Being Loud Right Next To Her Head The WHOLE Time... She Favors It Compared To Any Gel, Shampoo, Liquid, Or Strong Scented Oils Because Nobody Has To Know & She Can See The progress Of Removal In The Filter & That's Gratifying Enough To Convince Her To Set Through A Long & Loud Combing Session 😉😁~

Dawn dish soap will get it out. And put the soap in the hair BEFORE any water and lather as much as you can with soap only. Then start rinsing and rinsing and shampoo at least twice after. Skip conditioner.
