I have been curious about rummy nose tetra as a community tank that would go well with Discus. Not to long ago you did a video of the top 3 tetras you put with Discus. Thanks for going into more detail.
I had different Tetras before who just schooled together, same with my Barb tank, Gold Barb and Odessa Barb school together just fine, using mostly the middle of the tank, its so nice to watch them. The mix of gold and the Black and Red on the Odessa barbs is just fantastic. Hope you get better soon, greetings from Norway. Youre tank looks beautiful.
Amazing video! I’m adding a large group of rummy nosed soon to my 90 gallon Discus tank, I’m excited! 2 of my discuss have started to go a little dark, any advises? Any antibiotic that you recommend?
What is the strain of the two Discus? We need to figure out if there is a problem first? Are they clamping fins? Are they eating? Are they new to your tank and maybe have a bully? All questions to eliminate before going to medications. Are they bloated and swimming erratically around the tank? Let me know if any of the above are considerations.
@@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto I have a group of 4 mosaic turquoise. They’ve been together since the start, about 4 months. They’re about 3-4 inches, got them small and they’ve been growing nicely. Two of them (the larger and the smaller) have been hiding and getting dark for most of the day. The other two are coloring up very nicely. They are all eating and I haven’t noticed any significant bullying. I’ve been running tank checkups and everything seems fine. I haven’t noticed clamped fins, they’re not bloated and haven’t noticed any erratic swimming.
@@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto I’ve been feeding a mix of Ocean Nutrition Discus flakes and Tropical D-allio plus granulat (30% garlic). No slime coat shedding. Overall they look healthy, just acting very shy, getting dark and very pale in coloration compared to the others. They’re from the same breeder.

You are so right. I brought home 6 and after a day or so I saw a couple spots on one of them and freaked out
I love a large school of these in my two 120's. They really make a Discus tank pop

What is their diet and do they show signs of slim coat shedding?
