I was just in Wrocław a month ago and watching this gives me so much nostalgia wishing I was back there again. I'm in love with that city with all my heart 🥺❤️
I recently got the chance to revisit Wroclaw and recorded 2 long walks again: Center to Cathedral island: ruclips.net/video/BkALBcakj2s/видео.html Cathedral island to Center and train station: ruclips.net/video/JipvpATmkgI/видео.html
I travelled to Wroclaw years ago for my brother's wedding and it was the best trip ever. Wroclaw is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been blessed with. Thank you for sharing...
Thank you! Wroclaw is also on of my favourite places. There are a few more videos of the city on the channel. I collect the videos from different now also with links on a website apart from the country playlists here on RUclips -- www.poptravel.org/videos/tags/wroclaw/
Thank you. Yes, the gas lights are real there and I was happy to randomly catch the Lamplighter on this video. I've seen him before on other visits or when jogging around at dusk

what are the seasons like? does it get real cold. how hot are the summers, or cold the winters. do you get a lot of snow in the winter. what is the worst kind of weather you get. i mean, do you get tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods? i am just curious. i love the architechture i see and i want to move there.
It's very good that you want to move here! I live near Warsaw but we have almost same weather in all regions, I didn't saw snow since 2015 so the temperature is very often at + in winter, but if you want snow there is always in mountains. And on summer is near 25 C°+, and about tornadoes and other disasters here are very rare, so in my opion the climate is pretty peacful. ;)
Some good observation! The German name of Wroclaw is "Breslau" and it was indeed a German city until 1945. The Germans had to leave after the war, their architecture remained
It was a GERMAN city for more than 600 years. We called it "Breslau" and the region was known as "Schlesien". Thanks to WWII we lost Schlesien, Pommern and Ostpreußen one third of Germany.
@@Volksinformant It was Prussian for only over 200 years. It was part of Poland ruled by Piast Polish dukes, then Czech and then Austrian. Prussia only got it after Frederick the Great won Silesian War and took it from Austria. The region was known as Śląsk long before it was known as Schlesien. Schlesien probably comes from Śląsk as well as many german city names that sound oddly similar to original Polish versions. You lost it because you started WW2 and invaded us and also as a compensation for lands we lost in the east indirectly because of you.
is that the same as warsaw? i am an american who lives in knoxvville, tennessee. that place looks so beautful. is poland friendly towards americans? i would love to live there. please let me know. and is it expensive. are americans allowed to live there. is it a free country. is it safe? do the polish people like americans. please let me know. thank you. darrell cox.
Americans are very welcome, even more, everyone is welcome, we just only don't want people that don't work and gaining money from country by doing nothing, and because of that debt keeps increasing for the working people, like it is in Germany or France. But i know that foreign propaganda shows it differently. Stay safe and strong friend! ;)
The United States is one of Poland's most important allies. Americans are very well treated in Poland. Wroclaw is safe and cheap, you are sure to like it.
