a lot of guys and gals came to korea from nellis. its my second year soon this august in the usaf, and the longer in ammo i am, the more i actually began to enjoy it. definitely not the job i chose, being reclassed after washing out of the eod pipeline, but ammo is a damn cool career field to get placed. i'll be using my spare time on the weekends to work on my bachelors. Thanks for this video! embrace the suck. ammo is way easier hours wise vs other jobs like security forces or crew chief. It's a great community to be a part of!
I know it may be harder to obtain but I would like to see these interviews with officer jobs. I appreciate what your doing though. I’ve learned so much and this has made my Air Force journey a lot easier. Thanks.
Hey Kyle, I was wondering if you planned on interviewing any space systems operators? There is little to no info online. Any help appreciated. I leave for bmt Aug 6. Also, love the videos , hope to catch a stream when I get the chance
Hopefully you can interview a 2a636 airman, i ship out on september 24th and i haven’t seen or heard much about the job much either, thanks for all you do kyle!
Marcial Perez Jr Thats what im going to do I leave for bmt July 30th so if you got anything about the job that would be great because I couldn’t really find anything on it.
Let me just say we dont just build bombs..lol I see what you mean but alot of bases dont have fighters. Im at a AMC base and we wont ever see bombs over here even being that Im a munitions specialist as well. For those that may be curious about this career field we deal with all munitions. Im ammo and trained to build bombs so when i deploy or PCS I know what im doing. However where im stationed currently, I mainly work with flare, small arms ammo, and different explosives for EOD pulls. Its a lot more to it but i figured id keep it short and simple.
Please Interview a Linguist! I am shipping out to be a Linguist on the 20th of August and I would like to know more about the DLI's living conditions and what a typical day looks like for a student.
Have fun! If it seems like alot of info at first dont worry about it you will learn more in depth once you arrive to your 1st shop at your duty station
How is it now? Getting shipped this 11 August... Feel like I got tricked into this. Listed 10 jobs and eventually she narrowed this down to 3... Air traffic control, security force, and this...
He went in with open contract but he didn't specify if whether or not he had the option to stay in DEP.... I ask because my recruiter implied that I didn't have this choice so I wanted to know if it's factual or if she's being shady....
I dont think I was ever in DEP.... literally a few days after I got back from MEPS I was asked If I wanted to ship out in 2 weeks on an open mechanical contract
@@jron702 did you get the impression that you had the option to decline the open contract? Or did your recruiter imply that you were obligated to take it?
@@OneRealAssNiggaa I always knew I could decline if I wanted to. The recruiter just told me that I could be waiting in DEP for a while and this was a good chance to leave fast. Never told me I was obligated to take it. I knew I wasnt as well. You dont have to accept anything you dont want
@@jron702 oh ok gotcha, just wanted to make sure because she was like "you'll go to meps, swear in, sign a contract, sign another right before you ship off & then in week 5 or so you'll sit down with a counselor to see what jobs are available" as if I didn't have a choice. Then when I asked her if I could wait in DEP for the contract with the exact afsc I wanted to come in, she replied with a job policy document (as if to say "no") lol so that's why I asked
Hours depend on what base you work, what shop and ultimately how cool your shift lead and shop chief are. Definitely not as bad as flight line. Ive never had to work 12s consistently only here and there almost never.

I’m looking to reclass what’s the normal hours for Ammo
Still enjoying it bro, I hit BMT Feb, and got ammunition
“Was not something I wanted to do”
I think that’s the majority of the military but we end up finding something in there we like.

But did he get 99 strength before or after joining the USAF?
yes he ran into Iran with full Dharok's and single handedly took out ISIS
I love the job videos, but I definitely preferred the previous format of them better. Keep of the great work man!
Please do some electrical jobs!! Like 1C832 or 3D133, or any electrical/avionics jobs. Thank you Kyle for all the content you put out!

What are the work hours
@@STackinDre lol depends can be anywhere from working 12s for a year to 7-3 7-5 it’s the military. there isn’t a set schedule
I was in when we were 461's then we became 2W0's, tech school was at Lowry AFB Colorado and it was about 3 months long. That was back in 1985.
My recruiter literally offered me this a couple of hours ago 😂
did you decline?
