I don’t know if the Webex app got updated but the options don’t look the same anymore. Is there any chance you could try to follow your own instructions as if you were watching it for the first time and try to do it to see if it’s current? Great video. However it does not have Picture in Picture for iPad Pro for some reason in settings. Thoughts? It has under “camera” self video, and under video “use mobile data.” Thanks.
Just swipe up to Home Screen or if you’re using a keyboard type cmd +h and it will automatically switch the video to picture-in-picture mode 👍 I just tried it again to confirm.

The only thing I did not do was to click on start video to get the full screen, then go to settings (three dots at the bottom, and do the things that you mentioned before. I found the picture in picture toggle. I've practiced it a few times, and it works great. I also connect a microphone to the iPad Pro, and my audio sound is excellent when I listen to it. That’s would be awesome. Alternatively just try to make sure your background is clean and less distracting. Try to use a solid colour (white or black) background. You could even try using a green background for some chroma effect. 👍

Is there any way by which you can project your ipad screen to your iphone in such a way that you use the front cam of iphone floating in front of the projected ipad screen on the iphone and don the screen recording on iphone. This way one can use the stylus input of ipad and utilize the good quality of iphone camera while screen recording on iphone. That way there would be only one final video file recorded on iphone. I have done it on android but still struggling a way to do it with ipad and iphone combination

I just downloaded Zoom and Zoom works better than whatever he’s talking about so if I were you it don’t matter if you have like it it don’t matter what it’s like type of iPad you got you can get zoom zoom can help with your face cam cause I tried it, and it works so good

I have the same issue, no moving it helps. the only way the thumbnail stays active is if i only mute audio. Then, when I try to save the screen recording, it fails. Was SO excited to have this option, it’s not working: I disabled audio, I set PIP - followed all steps and nope.

This is really cool and will let me stream my ipad games on twitch. The only problem is the camera will crash every 20 minutes. It’s timing out for some reason, I wonder if there is a way for it to stay on forever 🤷🏻♂️

Start the screen recording after you start the webex meeting. Make sure you follow the instructions in my tutorial. Make sure the microphone 🎙 audio in Webex is switched off and the screen recording microphone 🎙 is turned on.
Can we do this on an iphone? Seems like the settings are different on the iphone app. When I exit the app the camera window shows on my screen but the camera turns off.

If you sign in to the same meeting with two devices, participants can see your face cam from your second device (smartphone) whilst to present (share screen) on the first device.

Well need to find a new app solution for this. Apple should be more like android to allow face cam recording and proper multitasking. But it's down to the app developers to allow such features too. Sometimes, it's just legislation and information security and regional laws.

I did the “difficult” part where I get the video on video screen where I can see myself with my camera but as soon as I share the screen to my PowerPoint I lose that small video screen of my camera (showing me speaking). What the heck is going on? I am so close but can’t figure it out. So appreciative of your help and videos.
I know this comment is old but I am having the EXACT same issue. Did you ever figure it out? My picture in picture is on, however, whenever I minimize or exit as he did to do share screen, the video automatically turns off and you can no longer see me in the box, instead, it has my initials in the screen. Also, "webex meetings" would not work unless I downloaded "webex" as well. One is not working without the other.

Webex has smart audio capture. It will use noise cancellation for you. Make sure you turn this on in settings in Webex. Use any headphone microphone. It’s better because it’s closer to your mouth than iPad mic.

Too many restrictions. These apps update to suit information security patches and laws. Apple should allow face cam recording on their devices by default. It's Apple's fault.
This worked for me brilliantly BUT now when I click 'start meeting' it tells me I have to join the meeting from the WEBEX app instead. Won't let me just connect with 'start meeting'. Help please!

Remember audio is recorded through iPad screen recording. Soo there is no audio isolation or noise cancellation.

Webex times out after 40 mins unless you have pro version. Question, can you vary the sound volume of yourself and the app you are recording?
