As we have seen with similar discoveries in the past, the market of those items is quick to adjust so that the arbitrage opportunity is gone. We are currently not planning any changes to this but we'll keep an eye on it and reserve the right to change our mind. No one will be banned for doing this. It will just come down to if there is a way to manipulate the trees when combining together.
Yes there is the way to manipulate .GGG said that forge will work in a way as recombinators were working. How forge works in-game: u need to use league mechanic and get both passives allocated (for example: u have 1st item with 3 divines passive allocated and 2nd item with double sell allocated).After that if u forge 2 items with both this passives allocated they will be 100% on tree, but 50% chance to be on same route.
Is this even worth it? If you get unlucky you lose your base. You need to get extremely lucky to get the 6 div weapon, split and be able to forge it keeping the 6 div without split tag. Sounds like the harvest card gamba tbh.
I merged convoking wands trying to make a good tree its a 40% keep .. but when you have common passives it’s 50:50 to be on the good side but the repeat passive will be there so… in the end it’s how many to you do before failing .. technically the loop will always stop and the price need to be at 12/14 divine base to not lose money and splits for a bit less than half divine… someone can do better maths I guess
I'm the guy in this video. I thought I find a way to manipulate it with 5 successes in a row, but lose 3 times in a row after. After 5 hours of attempting on stream, I end up with 4 weapons (with split tag)left, which is only 2 additional weapons more than what I started. That's not even close to the beast/fossil cost. Even if there is a method that uses split beasts or fossils and to turn generate maybe half a divine or a divine out of them, you need to keep in mind you have to do this over dozens of maps of crucible levelling, more if you count the time to find base items. Compare that to Sanctum, where you could reliable generate raw divines from the league mechanic (say 1 every 30-40 maps), plus tons of extra currency, and it's clear that even with this Crucible generates less currency for players to use.
Unless I’m missing something with what sanctum relics gave, crucible adds way more to character power which allows you do to way more rewarding content, or juice up your maps that much more.
Yeah, and the only way this is infinite is if you get EXTREMELY, ridiculously luck spam putting the split trees on new weapons... and this is just also limited by how many Crucibles you can find, I guess you can by all the right Igenous Geodes too but even though this method of farming is possible its time consuming & can all collapse with any bad RNG. You also need to risk 10 divines out right to even get the first 20 divine profit from this & continue doing it.

another notable exploit for Split Beasts which would be the true money printer method was the Vendors for More Implicit which could net an Ex/Mirror Shard, which is why now the results are hidden. Split Tag didn't exist then, so people would put the item in Vendor, (Specifically, a Map, as a Horizon Orb rerolled the Implicit results) see what it was worth and then Split the Base over and over, guaranteeing what was offered. Literal money printing
"Open node" will increase the odds of getting node needed in this place. Sourse - I merged hell of alot of trees together including divine orb ones. Also, top weapon in merge process has bigger weight from my expirience.
The fact that people are selling these items to other players means only one thing its not as lucrative as it seems at first, by selling to the next player they pawn off any risk to the unsuspecting next player
You either have to get insanely lucky to come across them naturally or have the resources to buy them until you get that specific combined tree. Neither of which are going to happen to me unfortunately. Cool concept though.
This working even once, doubling 10 divine to 20 divine then getting out of it all entirely selling whatever weapon or split you used for 10 divine, that's already massive profit lol but if you do it more than once you can actually lose a lot
i mean the hardest is to get the item with sell for more + 3 divine in the same line of the tree... so even if fractured fossiles would sell for 3 divines... you would ALWAYS profit
I'm probably extremely lucky, but I hit 3 div split 5 times in a row, 1 time it failed by getting downgraded into 1 div and a 20c node on the way. I will stop on the first failed forge attempt.

I feel like you should be able to progress somewhat from just killing mobs, every league mechanic has 50 other mechanics attached to it, its all so convoluted and complicated just for the sake of complication.

There is forge that removes tree from item. If you then combine the trees of the item with the removed tree with another item the chance of full tree transferring is almost guaranteed
@@The_Maister. The "Contains a Furnace that removes a Crucible Passive Skill Tree from a Non-Unique Item" mod lets you re-roll your tree--it doesn't just remove it completely.
it doesn't matter as long as system is rigged, cheaters have infinite beasts, they got software to track the beasts on map entrance, then they login with 1 driver + 5 bot accounts and get x6 rewards, all done within minutes, sheep will then buy beast imprints for 500%+ of actual value and think they're in profit. Market is always balanced around sheeple, not the wolf.
If people abuse this enough and it doesn't get patched we're going to see the price of divines drop significantly, or at the very least, not go up as the league goes on.
Just tried it, my bow totally reforged into nothing good. Trying again, 2nd time the divine node downgraded to 1 divine, 3rd tried, the twice node disappeared but the 3 div node stayed. Lol
If you are getting a ton of Divines then you can roll them on items. The source of "money" isn't just from the raw value of Divines. Perfect rolled meta crafted items and unique will hold their value over the raw value of a Divine.
i still think divs should not be rare. or the main like currency. cause like they are basically only used for the crafts not the actual orb use. because like using the orb is like using 250chaos by rare i mean like you know 150k kills and still not getting one. or even and exalt this league. you know maybe 100k kills and getting one is fair. probably shouldnt be that rare.
If I found a way to brick the system/items you think I would tell the whole POE players by making a video??? Hell no because GGG would fix the problem in a heartbeat and my chances of getting banned would be great, all because I couldn't keep my mouth shut, also by making a video for others to follow suit will also put them at high risks of getting banned and losing currencies.
GGG mentioned in the QA before launch that splitting and fractures were intended. Guess they overlooked the part where you can sell the items for currency.
Core gameplay is definatly good. There are a lot of build divercity and game is clean. But crusible tech is aweful, not rewarding, trees are not that interesting and UI is just terrible. I miss Ultimatum and Sentinel SOOO MUCH.
all this is going to do is raise the cost of split beast/fossils to like 3-5 divine. It is another sad example of GGG only buffing topend builds while gutting everyone else.
Let me guess there is an 0.8% to get a divine node. Not only it is low but killing those crucible minions isn't easy - nemesis all over again. I love GGG but can they please start to learn from own mistakes?! Previous league pretty much guaranteed 1-3 divine per completion that took 20-40 mins. Now that was rewarding...

im loosing motivation to keep playing the game when i see this. how can this be intended, what a joke. league mecanic doesnt bring anything to the gameplay aleready. sitting in the manegerie all day long and print divines. great gameplay. 10/10 league
Tbh if it makes divine orbs cheaper with this, I’m personally not a 0.1% player so I’m fine with this, it’s still positive to have cheaper divines I guess

it keeps the xp, you only need to level the first item.. Split beast and imprint price is gona be through the roof

You can copy div's but only when trade is on :)

Doesnt the trees keep getting bigger? The odds of keeping the tree going is much lower than 50% is sounds like, so it wont be profitable.

It's not techincally a new item. It always keeps the item the exact same way it was except for the tree. Doesn't make sense to transfer the split tag.

invested 5d for 3dsell and twice value, failed forging them together, kept nothing on the tree. So it's a net -5d loss for me.
I may be wrong, but wouldn't you guarantee at least 3d if you split the item bore trying to combine?

Still, the split modifier should be carried over.
IIRC they changed splitting because people were also splitting whole revealed blueprint grand contracts infinitely and GGG wanted to stop that.

Its a little more complicated cuz you can get multiple divine nodes in the same tree or the one that doubles all currency nodes.

They could have easily and still can nerf this by increasing the failure rate of merging the trees containing the divine vendor node.

4th attempt, used same item level and same track and it only kept the 3 divine node only, (side note, im using bows)
5th attempt, downgraded into 1 divine and it kept the twice node 😅😅😅
Seems, using same item level and same style tracked form worked, but not enough trials to confirm.
6th, 7th, 8th attempt with a split 3 divine node melting into a twice node, the twice node always dissappear for me, 😢😢😢😢 bad luck
