Mam sofar id have to disagree. My opionon is this is from natutal reflex to always hold on tight since u do not have medium Length furr , his instincts are misaligned persay. He has no hand holds. Maybe test my theory by fingding long furr like vest u can fashon. Wear at nap times. I bet he will slowly fade away from it...

Well unfortunately, we took him to his vet, and in fact it is startle seizures.
They actually look just like hiccups.
