    I like the vibe of what you're doing, but for me, the harmony - D Dorian, E Phrygian, F Lydian etc, etc, was too quiet - I was really STRAINING to the hear the harmony. The melody is so strong, especially from the same tonic/root, that it keeps sounding like C Ionian regardless of the harmony. From my perspective - More volume on the harmony please - Maybe even start the exercise/lick from the tonic of each different mode otherwise the brain just keeps writing in C Ionian harmony by default...

      Simon, you make a good point. All I see DeMarius doing is playing the same scale starting on the same tonic. I can easily play what he's playing by just using my ear. What am I missing?
