Great tip! I've been working on this pattern with each chord: descending 9th,7th,5th, 3rd, up to 7th, then down 5th, 3rd, root. This will hopefully get me to outline the chords but add descending lines to the mix as well.
Just came across your site so informative and super useful to players who struggle to improvise like me please do not stop making these videos thanks ..peter......Spain
Super helpful! Thanks for sharing. I’m working on improving my mental recall of chord tones and started with playing roots around the circle of 4ths. Next is playing root and 3rd and picking up tempo. Loved the idea of playing chord tones for major/dominant to progress toward all tones.
Great video. Is it important to focus on chord tones of the 2 chord before a 5 chord or is it fine to just play chord tones of the 5 chord especially on faster bebop stuff?
Hello Tiffany! Unfortunately, my work schedule is pretty hectic so I'm not doing lessons right now. I am thinking of starting a Patreon for specific things though...
Add some enclosures to your toolbox too -> ruclips.net/video/k3IrKfnT9h0/видео.html

@@DeMariusJackson awwww, thanks for your reply. Tell work you have more fun things to do 😁 Ok, I’ll keep a lookout 💔
Less is more. Using only a few notes forces inventive rhythms.
