    Great tip! I've been working on this pattern with each chord: descending 9th,7th,5th, 3rd, up to 7th, then down 5th, 3rd, root. This will hopefully get me to outline the chords but add descending lines to the mix as well.

    Super helpful! Thanks for sharing. I’m working on improving my mental recall of chord tones and started with playing roots around the circle of 4ths. Next is playing root and 3rd and picking up tempo. Loved the idea of playing chord tones for major/dominant to progress toward all tones.

    Great video. Is it important to focus on chord tones of the 2 chord before a 5 chord or is it fine to just play chord tones of the 5 chord especially on faster bebop stuff?
