19:01 In case anyone's wondering, in order to make textboxes stop being invisible, you need to see an in-battle screen shake animation (such as the one for Spearow's Peck). That didn't happen when Shenanigans fought the Spearow, so the glitch persisted.
I'm just glad this guy finally put a rest to that stupid rumor and proved that you can't catch Mew by moving the truck by the SS AaaaaaawWWWHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAT!!?!?!?
22:07 Not only did they know the names of the Gen VI games in Gen I, they also had plans for Raikou in the game already as evidenced by its cry being heard here!
WAAAAAAAAY back when I first got Blue version, I did the text planer glitch @ 23:27 to become Nurse Joy. Never knew what I did, thank you for demonstrating this, I finally know what I did and how to do it again after 20 years of not knowing.
That ending was awesome =D Was a bit let down because I already did know about that specific glitch and I thought "ho well sure they might as well check the truck", but that was a perfect joke to end with ^w^
+Stephen McVicker He used some glitches to set that up before the event. If you saw the 151 speedrun you saw how the gliches in this game can make everything possible.
This was awesome. Especially the ending there. I mean, I don't know how many different glitches had to be set up to get that to work... probably one to make the game think the truck was a boulder, one to make Mewtwo show up on that tile, and one to swap Mewtwo out with Mew? Something like that?
FYI, in the original Red and Blue, I think the truck is moveable. The Mew, though, was programmed in. I think I've moved that truck before, without glitches (I think), but there was no Mew, only some other items.
I found the Mew Truck in my Yellow game, but it wouldn't move... I did get to explore the area though and I'm now questioning how the S.S Anne departed in the first place and why its back
in gen 1 storing a pkmn to the pc doesnt heal. you can have 5 fainted pkmn and switch your last one with a fainted one in the pc, leave the pc and 3 steps later you black out. (funfact: you can take only 2 steps, save, reload and have an additional 3 steps to move. you can basically go(surf/fly) wherever you want with no pokemon left)
its really wierd considering i used to go around showing ppl ho asked me about it , i had pokemon blue since i was 5 , and still do , but moving the truck never worked for me ... must have a later version of the game or somehting?
+killa207 Those games don't actually have many interesting glitches. About the most broken you get are Generations I & II. Generation III has a few of minor interest, one of which persisted into Generation IV, but that's about it and it'd hardly be useful. Generation III has one glitch that MIGHT be useful in a catch-'em-all run, but that glitch and the Pomeg Glitch are about as good as you can get in terms of interest. It's because the coding in Generation I & II are just so ... crappy. There are literally dozens of glitches and probably HUNDREDS of technical and mechanical quirks and oversights (such as how X Accuracy lets OHKO moves, or how Badge stat boosts can be reapplied, or how Burn/Paralysis stat losses can be negated, or how you can endlessly force a foe into nonaction...), but Generation III onward don't really have any such problems beyond a few hard-to-do, heavily technical glitches. Hell, I'm not sure if Generation V have any glitches of particular note OR use beyond generic things that cause game hanging. And Generation VI could always be patched, though they do have that glitch with Symbiosis and a few other things that are just oversights that the average person wouldn't care about anyways (like not facing the sign properly on Route ... 7, I think? ... in X/Y).
+Cody Turner Odds are, they'd be the exact same. Most VC ports have been 1:1 copies of the originals, glitches and all. Plus, fixing any one glitch obligates Game Freak into fixing them all, and there are dozens, maybe hundreds. And then there's also historical significance. Missingno. is one of the most widely-known glitches in all gaming. It'd almost be WRONG to cut him out, you know?
+Daniel Chaviers Turns out all the glitches are still in, only things that have changed are the ability to battle/trade wirelessly through local play, flashing animations on some moves like Hyper Beam and so on have been toned down for obvious reasons, and Jinx's face on it's Yellow sprite was changed from black to purple. Also Red, Green, JP Blue, Western Blue and JP Yellow all run through the VC's Game Boy emulator in black and white rather than their Super Game Boy/Stadium GB Tower colours, while Western Yellow runs in the VC Game Boy Color emulator, which despite being only a GB title let's it make use of the game's unique GBC features to add more colours to the game.
I hate when some kid runs up to my desk and throws a rave so dank I don’t exist anymore.
#mondays
Ain't no party like a Pokemon Center Lance Rave
Because a Pokemon Center Lance Rave is fatal
Shenanagans is the perfect spokesman for Pokémon speed running. Funny, informative and never a dull moment. :)
Shenanagan and Keizaron are the top. On one side we've got Shen's chill and hilarious commentary and the other we've got Keiz's horrid luck XD
I honestly love the guy in the background who laughs hysterically at everything. It just makes me smile for some reason, his laughter is contagious.
That's Blueglass!
The fact that the killing of the Mew at the end leveled him up to Lvl 100 is what really got me.
yes
19:01 In case anyone's wondering, in order to make textboxes stop being invisible, you need to see an in-battle screen shake animation (such as the one for Spearow's Peck). That didn't happen when Shenanigans fought the Spearow, so the glitch persisted.

Dillo64 That myth was solved years ago
No shit, sherlock. Watch the end of the video.
My reaction exactly
Well, you can... if you inject arbitrary code that persists even after saving
Seeing Strength reveal a Mew under the truck was so cathartic to me, you have no idea it's like a 20 year weight was lifted!
His showmanship is grade A, definitely an entertainer I'm a fan and have been for a while now
22:07 Not only did they know the names of the Gen VI games in Gen I, they also had plans for Raikou in the game already as evidenced by its cry being heard here!
wtf you’re right LMAO
Shenanagans has excellent showmanship.
"This goes on for about 30 minutes, and then your game crashes." So matter of factual lol
WAAAAAAAAY back when I first got Blue version, I did the text planer glitch @ 23:27 to become Nurse Joy. Never knew what I did, thank you for demonstrating this, I finally know what I did and how to do it again after 20 years of not knowing.
when she disappeared you could hear the half life death sound lol
No you didn’t lol
That guy laughing in the background made this for me. Hats off to you random citizen.
Probably Blueglass.
It is. No mistaking it.
Paxson Bachus same. Made things a lot funnier imo
BlueGlass is like a thing that you need for an gdq event to be an agdq event.
22:39 the bottom right guy has a ditto face as his back :)
“The more you play them, the more you question reality”, was probably the best gen 1 quote I’ve ever heard 😂
24:40 best part of this showcase
HOW DID YOU FIND ME HERE?
oh ok xD
14:35 Hm...human music...
I like it. Jerry smith
I forgot that Jigglypuff sings the melody she does in the show in Pokemon Yellow. That game really was the perfect merch any show has ever had
This was pretty top-notch, between the Pokecenter rave and dat Mew
Shen sounds like Mandark and upon realizing this, every run he is in is 100 times funnier.
10:27 And I thought the ability to play a black person was only introduced recently.
Dara McMahon lol
Dara McMahon whew that was heavy 😂😂😂😂
Clever....
Haha
That mew got me
Same!!!
24:50
Dude: *Finds mew*
Audience: Bravo! Bravo! jolly good show!
I'm willing to bet when this was being done TheZZAZZGlitch was coding Pong into one of the games.
That ending was awesome =D Was a bit let down because I already did know about that specific glitch and I thought "ho well sure they might as well check the truck", but that was a perfect joke to end with ^w^
14:41 "This sign is talkin to me man, IT'S MAKIN ME SEE THINGS MAN"
How did he pull off that joke with Mew? Is that a hacked rom or something? Either way, I laughed.
+Stephen McVicker seriously though
+Stephen McVicker He used some glitches to set that up before the event. If you saw the 151 speedrun you saw how the gliches in this game can make everything possible.
I believe the technical term is arbitrary code input or something?
+Stephen McVicker This game is broken as heck!
***** If i'm not mistaken, it's "arbitrary code execution". There is some pretty interesting stuff people do with it, specially when they use TAS bot.
Pokérus existed in Gen 2???? I had no idea o_o
lol "hi mom" 14:07
The guy with that hysterical laugh in the background tho
THE MEW UNDER THE TRUCK OH MY GOD
MIND FREAKING BLOWN
This was awesome. Especially the ending there. I mean, I don't know how many different glitches had to be set up to get that to work... probably one to make the game think the truck was a boulder, one to make Mewtwo show up on that tile, and one to swap Mewtwo out with Mew? Something like that?
mdudegamer It was made using Arbitrary Code Execution. If you wanna know how ACE (Arbitrary Code Execution works, google it beacuse I have no idea
FYI, in the original Red and Blue, I think the truck is moveable. The Mew, though, was programmed in. I think I've moved that truck before, without glitches (I think), but there was no Mew, only some other items.
@ElJoJos Xdxdxd it was a long time ago. I don't really remember.
that mew thing was hilarious, best part
it starts at around 5:00
24:50 WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?!?!
MY JAW HAS OFFICIALLY DROPPED TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH
"3...2...1...go!"
And the time doesn't even start XD
they should have asked missingnoXpert to help with this.
I'm pretty sure the Xpert is dead though.
Nikx Neon yeah i hope he’s alright
@@HankusTheTankus333 Even the series is dead. I was so freaking sad when I found out I couldn't rewatch LG:PB
The Mew Truck glitch must be a rare, touchy glitch; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There must be variables we haven't realized yet...
It was performed through arbitrary code execution, it was all premeditated for a fun ending, nothing rng about it
nurse joy glitch was hilarious
Rogue Warrior "uhoh" lmao
If you wanna see the Mew truck, go to 24:40.
The only fact that we have "glitch exhibitions" is mind boggling
I found the Mew Truck in my Yellow game, but it wouldn't move...
I did get to explore the area though and I'm now questioning how the S.S Anne departed in the first place and why its back
Run Starts At 5:08
ty bruh
+Ayaan Quraishi describtion bruh
I wonder whether it's possible to play the game's non-music data as music...
in case you are too lazy: 5:15
It's _in the description_ lol
+LB but you can't click on it there.
Rena Kunisaki Actually yes, you can.
LB I can't. RUclips mobile app is butt. D:
lazy?
This is so interesting. I love how these games are just completely broken but it's really well understood why
I’m genuinely convinced an icarly laugh track has been added to this
Congrats you guys for this type of events :D
one of the shortest 20 minutes of my life.
Lets get started @ 5:05
4:40 Start of the Gamescreen
I assume that one dislike is a glitch...
mew disliked it
Could somebody explain how he got mew under the truck and actually move the truck?
well, its some custom code injection. i checked the pastebin and its all explaining the code.
'sigh'
5:07, is what you came here to see.
You had 28 Pokemon in your party? Jeez
Technically you can have up to 255 pokemon in your party in gen 1 if you use glitches in a certain way.
This is strangely reminiscent of a magic show
I LOVE ACE!!!! that is so FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
Starts at 5:10
Dude! that mew! i did not see that comin xD
THAT sign's value plays every song in list and corrupts a few, one it goes to crashes. The game.
This is so wholesome I love it. Best speedrunning community
Oh, hey, he reads my donation in this video in the first minute. :P
22:27 Best Glitch :D
23:17 Nurse Joy %?
Uh... am I the only one confused by the time? How does the run take 25 minutes if the video is only 26:26 and the run starts 5 minutes into it?
It's an estimate, so it was expected for him to take 25min to show off the glitches but only ended up taking 20
Is there like an explanation on how to do all of these glitches anywhere? I'd love to do them myself lol
LITTLE TIMMY ONBTHE PLAYGROUND WAS TELLING THE TRUTH!! 🤣
When glitches are actually funny lol
Wait, pikachu can be in the PC fainted? Why is that?
in gen 1 storing a pkmn to the pc doesnt heal. you can have 5 fainted pkmn and switch your last one with a fainted one in the pc, leave the pc and 3 steps later you black out. (funfact: you can take only 2 steps, save, reload and have an additional 3 steps to move. you can basically go(surf/fly) wherever you want with no pokemon left)
Do I hear blueglass in the audience?
Before you like or dislike the video, I recommend you watch past 25 minutes.
i luv Shenanagans
dont do PikaWalk glitch at Bill's Lab when Pikachu is shocked to see Bill was a Ratata. it'll crash the game and your save data will be wiped.
so you're saying this glitch might corrupt your save file?
Jesus, early Pokemon games were seriously broken.
pokerus=pokemon virus? I never really thought about it but it makes so much sense, oops
Pokedex = Pokemon index
Same there
22:18 Epilepsy alert
Skip to 5:00 for glitch exhibition.
This is how you get Pokemon Black Edition xD
Real Start 5:15
He said "Pokemon Blue" and the dude loaded up Yellow lmao
Screw Pokérus, you will get Pokétripper from all that virus-like glitches lol
Glitches
Done
Quick
its really wierd considering i used to go around showing ppl ho asked me about it , i had pokemon blue since i was 5 , and still do , but moving the truck never worked for me ... must have a later version of the game or somehting?
it’s kinda hacking, but he hacked the game using the game itself so
7 year old me: Hears rumor about mew under a truck
26 year old me: ITS TRUE! ( glossy eyes )
i just realized hitmonchan and (hitmonlee?) are for jackie chan and bruce lee
I love glitches
pikachu dies because he sleeps and his trainer gave zero fucks

I was not sitting there
5:14 Your Welcome
