John Templeton, did relocate their during retirement, though he lived in Lyford Cay which is a special situation, and was active in a church in the Bahamas. I have heard Trinidad is not safe in parts, and same in Jamaica. Sorry you had to attend law school again after attending in Canada. Of course, it did allow you to pursue your dream of being a Caribbean islander.
Used to work in the high Arctic and one of the precautions to be taken is to always have a chubby, slow colleague around in case a polar bear charges :D

Grand Bahama is different.
