- Today's Vlog takes us to the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. It was June 9, 2018, the very sad third anniversary of my son's, Luke James Lewis, passing. Come walk the sacred grounds with us, as we briefly discuss the cemetery's history and talk to and about Luke.
And, as always, thank you all for tagging along ...

What a great video!! I couldn't sing that without crying
Thank you, Jerry, for taking time to comment ... not a day goes by without tears ... God Bless You ...
Thanks for sharing with us. So sorry for your loss. Big thank you to your son for his service. What a beautiful place. We have done wreaths across america for the past several years. Coins on military graves have different meanings. A penny simply means someone visited. A nickle is left by someone who served with them in boot camp. A dime is left by someone who served with them in some other capacity. A quarter is left by someone who was with them when they were killed.
Never had the coins left behind completely explained ... thank you so much for taking time to comment ... God Bless & Safe Travels ...

Luke was only 4 years older than me. He was born December, 1982 I was born December, 1986. I tried to enlist in the Air Force back in 2006 but was rejected due to having scoliosis. RIP Luke James Lewis.
