I watched all 13 years of both of their careers, and it's not even a question, Jordan by a mile.
By a Light Year
Old head
I completely disagree
did you watch mj when he got swept twice in first round play offs , his record before pippen was 1-9 Lebrun never lost a first round
@@soulmari7535 well your a dum kid who only watches lebitch
Jordan. We will see as the comparisons keep going. In the conversation of the GOAT, Its always been *Insert Name* vs Jordan.
Yea the fact that it's always blank vs. Jordan just shows that Jordan is the G.O.A.T.
Just about to be ____ vs Lebron 😁
@@idontdeserveaname1152 yeahh... probably never. It will never be unanimous as it was for MJ.
@@mrblend what how? If lebron wins one more they weren’t be much of discussion as all Jordan will have by then is 1 more ring
@@idontdeserveaname1152 Eventually the years catch up, X amount of years to get Y rings and a Z amount of team ups.... when we talk about the number 1 spot, how you get there matters. He will NEVER get the MJ treatment, which pretty much was 98% of people from 1998 to maybe 2015 had him down as GOAT. There is a bigger chunk now that has LeBron in there but MJ will never disappear.
MJ came into the NBA as a Robin, worked his ass off and left as Superman. LBJ came in like Superman and will leave like Batman/Robin.
Both great, but there is a difference. Its been fun for me regardless, I been watching since 1990 and have been blessed to see some of the best basketball and basketball players of the sport.
So MJ averages the most ppg of all time but can't get 5 stars on scoring? Nah fam
Zach Horvitz he's drunk
This video was scored like that intentionally to make it look close, it wasn't close at all... MJ by a mile.
Larry Nunez yeah but what’s funny is it’s not and you have no idea what you’re talking about 😂 Lebron is now better.
@@infamouscrimson I DO know what I'm talking about, I watched MJ in College, get drafted and when he played in the NBA, Lebron is good but he is NOT on MJ's level, MJ went out every night to completely annihilate you, Lebron doesn't have that mentality, if he did he wouldn't defer to other players to win games for him.
Larry Nunez the mentality that lebron lacks is a completely made up narrative. Just like the mamba mentality Kobe would just shoot a crazy amount of shots and miss more than he’d make this isn’t a killer mentality it’s a selfish for of basketball. That’s not MJ, MJ did have this mentality but so did Lebron. Lebron makes everyone around him better unlike anyone ever. They are very close but Lebron is better in every aspect of the game then scoring. Lebron is a more versatile defender can guard all 5 positions and is a better shot blocker. Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, 3 point shooter, defender, and is damn close in scoring. Lebron has also played with worse teams against fiercer competition I’m sorry but Lebron is the goat
Easy conversation.
Time to educate -
Michael Jordan has 5 of the 7 top playoff series scoring averages of all time
and 6 of the top 10. Lebron doesn't have one in the top 10. Kobe
doesn't. Wilt doesn't even have one. He averaged over 40 PPG in 5
different playoff series. That's insane. His top 6 playoff series
averages are 45.2, 45, 43.7, 43., and 41 respectively, the last being in
the finals.
Jordan holds a whopping 42 NBA Playoff Records. To
put that in prospective, this is how he measures up to other All Time
Players:
Number of Playoff Records:
Michael Jordan - 42
Bill Russell - 15
Wilt Chamberlain - 13
Kareem Abdul Jabbar - 5
Kobe Bryant - 5
Lebron James - 0
Now read this:
Jordan holds the Highest career PER average in NBA regular season, post season and NBA Finals history.
Jordan holds the Highest career Efficiency rating average in NBA regular season, post season and NBA Finals history.
Jordan holds the Highest career Gamescore average in NBA regular season, post season and NBA Finals history.
Jordan holds the Highest career Winshares average in NBA regular season, post season and NBA Finals history.
Jordan holds the Highest MVP shares average in NBA regular season, post season and NBA Finals history.
Jordan is the only player to lead the league in Scoring and Win Defensive player of the Year a season.
Jordan is the only player to Win a championship, scoring title and steals title in the same season.
1991
Finals... MJ averages 32 and 11 Assists on blistering 3 pt percentage
and fantastic defense, out-shining Magic in assists. 1992 MJ averaged
35 and 7 in the finals, including setting a finals record for 3 pters
(and points) in a half, including "the shrug", outshining Clyde from 3
point land. 1993 finals - averages a finals record 41 PPG and 9
rebounds, only 3 TO's, also great 3 pt shooting... and retires because
he felt there were no challenges left.
Comes back, 3-peats again,
including finals performances where he gave game-winning assists, and 2
game-winning shots including the back-to-back lay-up, steal from
malone, and game winner against Russell (literally 3 plays consecutively
to win it).
MJ was an all-around player and many of his
teammates have personally mentioned that he made them better, including
Scottie. People are too stupid to realize that MJ was a perimeter
player, so he didn't grab as many boards as a Barkley or Lebron
(forward)... but guess what? MJ is 6th leading guard in rebounding all
time. He's also 2nd in steals, has a defensive player of the year
award.
Assists? The year he actually played point (like Lebron often
does), MJ averaged 32 8 and 8... closer to a triple double than Lebron
ever has. He was the quintessential all-around player.
bledredwine I’m late, but preach brotha
bledredwine I’m even later but preach on my guy
bledredwine Boom!
Excellent, just to add, the year Doug Collins put MJ at the point, he had 7 straight Triple Doubles and 10 Triple Doubles in 11 games, he also finished that entire stretch at PG (24 games) averaging 30.4 PPG, 9.2 RPG, 10.7 AST and 2.4 STL, he could quite literally had been the greatest PG of all time if he had stayed at the point.
Tell us what lebron did
What do you mean LeBron has had no major injuries?
Cramps hurt man 😂😂😂😂😂
Cramps don’t have a long lasting pain on your whole career it’s not about pain its about time LeBron got back a few days from a cramp
EASY michael jordan
So MJ gets 4.5 out of 5 in scoring? Are u serious? MJ is the best scorer in the NBA history by far. On the other hand you give LEbron 5 out of 5 in passing. Yes he is a very good passer, but what would u give to players like Magic, Stockton and Nash then?
buddy, you should look again the video and pay attention to what he said
If Jordan could shoot like kd from 3 he’d have a 5 out of 5 in scoring
Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant think otherwise
Facts..he messed this up totally
I feel curry a better scorer than him
I don't know how you give LeBron a 5 for defence when you can clearly see he is not as good as Jordan on defence
he is a versatile defender he can guard any position while jordan cannot
+JOseph so your saying Lebron is a jack of all trades... Master of none? Jordan's defence was amazing including winning DPOY, 9 times defensive first team. 3 times steals leader
did lebron become a defensive player of the year?
Buenavia Ryan no but lebron was robbed in 2013.
The TrollMaster lebron is robbed every year
MJ is beyond statistics (although he has the best) because he always did what he needed to do to win! Who cares if Lebron has a few rebounds and assists more per game. This is ridiculous. And just adding that Jordan had not! a high turnover rate. He has less turnover per game than any other high caliber player.
That's why he's a 3x first round exit?
@@williemay5751 thats why he's 6-0 in the finals
Low turnovers means more points and opportunities
@@lalailabum9402 One guy won against teams with more all stars than him. ONe guy isn't dependent on top coach or a single player. WE all know who that is. Also, one guy didn't have a closer 3 point line and played in an expansion era
Is that why he started 1-9 in his playoff career?
Anyone who doesn't think Jordan is better never saw him play.
MJ also has 2 3-Peat's(Only team to do so), his 3rd year in the league he avg. 37.1 just to name a few...
Robert Horry 7-0
@@fivehundrediq5212 as a role player. Rings only count when comparing superstars to each other. Tristan Thompson came back from 3-1 and went to 4 straight Finals but you don't hear anyone using that to put Tristan Thompson above any all time great player
If you are under the age of 18 and your parents told you LeBron James is the best player ever, your parents were losers. MJ is the GOAT, there is zero debate.
k?
My parents told me that Jordan is the goat because he never missed a shot or choked
he missed 20 something game winning shots lol
my dad is 65 years old and has watching the nba all his life and has no biases towards the cavs althought he grew up in cleveland and lebron played on his team he said jordan was amazing to watch but watching both of them play all their careers unlike 98% of you he says that lebron has done it beter than jordan with less so i respect his opinion far more than a 15 year olds
Stabilizin
Lol hes wrong though
Nah but LOW great vid tho all in all. One last point, if LeBron is only .5 off rn, he can still make up for that in the next 4-5 years he has left.
Lebron can play 9 more years if he wants to, he's so athletic that he can play till he is 40 probably
+PigPlays [HD] athleticism dont last long..smh hes got atleast 3-4 years. yall trippin
+PigPlays [HD] have you not seen Lebron lately? He has sat out for games because of back spasms. Those just don't go away. He will only be this athletic for a few more years
J bruh im not saying hes gonna be AMAZING when hes 40 but he can play till then, timmy did it and so did MJ... Will Kirby
+J bruh why you want his career to end so quick? all you'll have is Curry's fanbase lmfao, hatin ass nigga trying to protect MJ and Kobe
I can't believe the NBA is still here, in the year 20116.
idiot
lol
+Eric Danso no..? It was a typo on LeBron's strengths
did lebron get to the finals again

If Jordan doesn't play baseball he probably goes 8 for 8.
Asher Lee hakeem could of beaten him
W
No hakeem couldnt have, not if he never took time off. He wouldnt have beat MJ in 95 even if he had a full offseason, magic barely beat them in 6 because they only had 17 games in the reg season to gel, MJ wasnt in game shape. That never happens if he doesnt play baseball. The bulls do even better then 93 in 94 because Scottie and Horace are finally in their prime in 94. Its how they did so well without jordan, and really it was the triangle. You cant beat it if its run right. 11 titles and 13 appearances in the finals makes that abundantly clear, with several sets of different players. Hakeem had no help in 94. 95 Horace would have been resigned to the bulls, keeping the dynasty going. removing him from the magic. That's who lost pitifully to the rockets in the finals. Its not a question of if, jordan would have won 8 straight.
Al, before MJ went striking out, that Rockets team gave the Bulls fits. Even MJ said they were glad the big fella never figured out how to get out of the west. If he stayed he might win 8 out of 8 OR be 7 out of 8.
yes, assuming they keep Grant for 1 more year, then get Rodman in the 95'96 season, they beat the rockets both times for sure. MJ won six titles not even maxing out what he could have done. could have been 8, maybe 9 straight if they stick around for the 99 season as well. he had mercy on the league and retired early 2 times
you said that turnovers was a weakness for mj but lebron who avaraged more to hasnt got that weakness???
exactly.
because in almost all years the offense ran solely through him
exactly
lebrons been the point guard on all of his teams thats why
Bill Nanos LeBron has more assists better assist to ratio
Intangibles: MJ was the most elegant / stylish player to ever play the game. No highlight reel compares to his. Poetry on the court.
In 13 years Lebron has 3. In 13 MJ has 6.
In 13 Bill Russell had 11.
8 teams nigga
also had 8 hall of famers
By your logic Horry>AD23 gtfoh please and thank you
+Roderick David horry does have more of a legacy than ad23 tho lol
With that logic Mo Williams is better than Karl malone
You missed Jordan's 87-88 season, which to me is his greatest accomplishment. DPOY, League MVP, Scoring title, All Star game MVP, Slam Dunk Champ, lead the league in steals, became the only player in NBA history to record 200 steals and 100 blocks in back to back seasons, averaged 35 PPG on 53.5% shooting. To me that is the greatest single NBA season of all time. Excellent job btw, you were very thorough. You got my sub.
difference between the two is that MJ was undisputed the best player when he was playing (barring his wizards days) whereas lebron has let an undersized guard come around the shop, shoot three's all day and dethrone him in the eye's of many.
not only curry but durant was talked about being better than lebron in his MVP year, kobe was accepted as the next best thing over lebron for a few years.
michael was dominant... he was bested by the pistons when he was younger and he got up and did his all to CRUSH the best defensive team in the history of the game. after that NOBODY could compete with him... name 1 player in his era that was ever talked about being better, please.
lebron has been bested at some point in his career by not only curry but by durant and kobe.
lebrons only up side to MJ is that he can play 4 of 5 positions, MJ was just not tall enough and that's not skill, that's luck and i guarantee that if MJ had 2 or 3 more inches he'd be as bulky, as quick and as athletic as lebron if not more so.
giving someone the nod over something out of either of their control is ridiculous.
with ur logic i.t would be goat life aint fair face it
I feel like the rebounding category was a bit bullshit, 4.5 is too high and in the intangibles category, Jordan's early ball hog tendencies wasn't mentioned, but Lebron's early pass too much attitude was mentioned.
Actually his ball hog category was mentioned
^ it was
L it was bronsexual
i think lebrons defense was too high. hes a good defender but not a great man on man defender hes good and getting in passins lanes and blocking shots from behind but jordan can do the same and hes a better man to man defender
+xAyee its jay not true teams played zone in the 70s
Both are fucking great. I don't think we will see those kind of players, so everybody can stfu and appreciate what they got. No hate on you though, keep up the good work
Jordan = GOAT
Bron = Most valuable of all time
kobe second goat
+Anmol S Yes
+Joseph Camara debatable. Bron is 2nd for me
Thats dumb kid IF some one is the Goat that means they are the mvat
there's a difference you ignorant fuck. steph won mvp the last two years, but everyone knew Bron was the best.
This was very decent with the exception of one thing: Mike should've gotten a 5/5 for scoring ability. The man won 10 scoring titles, averaged 30ppg on 50% shooting for his career and averaged 33ppg on 49% shooting in the playoffs. That beyond crazy.
3:10 What the fuck Is Mugsy doing guarding Jordan lol
W
Right, laughed when I saw that, like Mugsy has the courage.
Lol
His best.
TerrorTown7575 Chill out we're just saying a 5'3 guy shouldn't guard MJ
Hey bronsexuals, some quick questions. Maybe you can give us the answers. If stats are "all that matter", maybe you can explain these stats. 3-4 finals record. The most finals losses for any active player in the NBA. The only player in NBA history to have won his 3rd ring with a LOSING finals record. Scored 1 point in the final 4 minutes of game 7 against the Warriors. Why only 1 point? Shouldn't the goat be taking over in crunchtime in a championship deciding game? ZERO game tying or game winning buzzer beaters in 7 NBA finals appearances. ZERO. Shouldn't the goat have at least one? Missed the game tying 3 pointer in the 2013 finals against the Spurs. Only to have Ray Allen save the day by hitting the game tying 3 pointer. And how about Kyrie Irving hitting the championship winning 3 pointer for the cavs? Why didn't the goat shoot it? It couldn't have been because he was busy shooting 3 bricks with 1 point in the final 4 minutes, could it?
He didnt score 1 point lol
+BrianTheKilla Bro he did in the final 4 minutes of game 7
Were you even around in the 90's or late 80's? I was born in the late 90's so I got to watch the tail end of mj's career. Every kid who never watched mj, because all they know is that mj was amazing, cause the media puts it that way. Also, this generation has never watched mj's STRUGGLES. He could barely make it past the first round without pippen, but Lebron MADE THE FINALS when the second best player on his team was ANDERSON VAREJAO. Lebron does a lot of things better than mj. He's more versatile, he's a better passer, rebounder, blocker, paint presence, etc. MJ just had shooting, iq, and the clutch factor over him. Rings don't mean everything. With that logic bill russell is the greatest of all time. I'm pretty sure everyone saying MJ is better is just young, or a lebron hater
+Derrick Wade give it 7 more years and Lebron surpass MJ
also lebron knows kyrie is a better shooter which is y lebron told kyrie to shoot it. lebron was shooting the lights out in the finals. and dropped 41 back to back. kyrie wouldnt b taking a game winning three if lebron didnt carry them there first. he had the clutch chasedown block and had more points assist rebounds blocks and steals than his cavs and warriors.
Michael Jordan will always be above LeBron James on the GOAT discussion of basketball. Once the warriors beat the Cavs, King James won't be the same. "I let my rings do the talking"-MJ
cant be a 4 allstar team? you must be fucking shit
I can already tell I am going to spend hours arguing with people on this topic, Legend Of Winning is GOAT for making a trendy RUclips video like this knowing many Lebron-stans are prisoners of the moment and are going to jump the gun and say he is greater than Jordan just because they think he is going to win more championships in the future.
LOL was it that obvious that is what I did
Legend Of Winning It was needed
***** lol?
Bro Lebron has been better since he won his SECOND ring
+Gavin Sexius If that is the case how come he lost in the finals the year right after he won his 2nd ring.
Michael Jordan, the greatest scorer of all time gets a 4.5/5 for scoring. LeBron has been a liability on defense in recent years and MJ was first team all defense till the last season he played for the Bulls and won dpoy. 9x all defensive first team beats 5x so Idk how is it a tie.
It wasn't that MJ couldn't shoot 3's, he chose not to, he straight up said he didn't like shooting the 3, because it took away his ability to drive the lane and pressure the defense, he felt if you get used to shooting the 3, you get lazy and just hang out on the 3 point line.
Here are my simple breakdown:
MJ Offense 10
MJ Defense 9
MJ Passing ability 5
MJ Leadership 9
MJ Killer instinct 9
Total: 42
LJ Offense 7
LJ Defense 7
LJ Passing ability 8
LJ Leadership 8

Jordan's in another category. LeBron's 'chasing the ghost' because he knows this. Jordan, 6-0 in finals. 6 finals mvp. Lebron 3-5 in finals. Chocked a finals against Dallas. Has choked numerous games. Jordan is more clutch, stronger will and has a killer instinct LeBron wish to posses. LeBron won his first 2 champs with a super team. Then carried that mentality over to Cleveland. Jordan never jumped shipped. Don't give me he had a super team when a no-name Scottie Pippen, who came off the bench his first two years, was drafted to Chicago. Jordan and his squad developed together. Jordan kept legends from champs. Dominated a younger generation like Shaq and Penny. Came back at 38 and was still one of the best players in the league. Do you remember what he did to Vince Carter? Shut him down completely in a second half game. Scored 50 points at 39 years old. Jordan's defense is better. He has better instinct, better foot work, mental game, better hands, and better technique. He did all this in a tougher era. Stop this madness. We all remember hearing the Kobe comparison but nada since he's retired. Don't think this won't be the same when LeBron's done. #MJGOAT
Buttttt Jordan also had a capable front office that could draft, sign very good free agents that complimented him, and had team mates that took extremely undervalued contracts. Lebron James took one of the most trash teams to the NBA finals in 2007 and took a very mediocre team in 2018 to the finals. He also faked everyone out for a hot second in 2015 that he could win the series. Let me remind you that this golden state team was a 67-15 team. And he was missing his two best players after overtime of game 1. He lead a team that started Mathew Delevadova to winning 2 games and taking a 2-1 lead. And then do I really need to mention 2016? Really?
Was Lebron as well rounded a scorer? No, but that’s not his main focus. He doesn’t take control of games like Jordan does because many times he doesn’t need to. He makes his team mates so much better than they should be. Do you think that Jordan could take a team where his second best players are Mo Williams and Big Z to 66 wins? I just can’t believe that. While I do think Jordan is a underrated passer, he is NOT Lebron James. Lebron is a top five playmaker all time. His vision, accuracy, speed of delivery, and versatility of passes... he’s the second best passer all time only behind Magic.
Defensively, Jordan is better. Just flat out better. Sorry to Lebron Stans, but Jordan is the much better defender. However, Lebron is more versatile so take that how you want.
Rebounding? Meh. They’re about equal in my opinion.
Athleticism? Lebron. Yes Jordan was a freak of nature, but Lebron is so much more athletic it’s not even funny 😂😂 Jordan was around 195-215 and had a 46 inch vertical with great body control and was very quick. Lebron? Add around 35-40 pounds of muscle on top of that, lower his vert by 2 inches, make him faster and have around the same quickness, give him longer arms, and make him 2-3 inches taller and tell me what you got. A freakin demigod. Just to show how stupidly athletic he was, Lebron almost signed with the cowboys in 2011, was the star receiver for his high school and was getting D1 college offers as a sophomore. I think he still holds the record for most yards and TDs ever in that schools history.
So, I think Lebron is the better player, buttttt I think Jordan is the greater player. I mean, Lebron shits all time great performances. Off the top of my head here’s some. Game 1 of the 2018 finals, game 6 of the 2012 ECF, game 5 and 7 of the 2016 finals, game 6 of the 2007 ECF, the entire 2009 ECF, all of Lebronto, game 6 and 7 of the 2013 NBA finals, game 6 of the 2018 ECF, should I keep going? That was just off the top of my head. Lebron is the best player in NBA history off of just pure talent, but Jordan is the greatest.
Thank you for your time
Oh and rq, that second three peat was kind of a super team. Jordan and Scottie are both top 50 all time and we’re top 10 to even top 5 depending on who you ask player in the league at the time. Now add another all time great defender and the second greatest rebounder as your third best player along with shooters, defenders, rebounders, etc. yeah you got a super team dude
@@KyleMPrep We can go tick for tact all day but all those LeBron credentials doesn't erase his meltdowns. You throw up all-time great performances, right? What about game 6 against Boston in the ECF in 2010? I clearly remember the announcer, Mark Jackson, saying he smelled 'quit.' How bout the, I don't know, 2011 Finals against the Mavs, who were the inferior team? Worst superstar choke I've ever witnessed, and that was with his superteam. You know, Wade, Bosh, and some other descent role players. Jordan has never choked in a finals. Doesn't have that mark on his legacy. That's a significant difference... killer instinct. Jordan went through hell for nearly a decade (with those drafts and free agents you oh so made clear) before capturing a ring. I also remember him making the playoffs his first three years without a Scottie Pippen, who was still in college. Do you remember what the Bulls organization looked like before Jordan got there??? LeBron didn't make the playoffs his first two years. LeBron did all this magic with no-names, huh? I'll give you that. But how competitive was the eastern conference the entirety of LeBron's career? The west was clearly superior for most of that. Ask Kobe. Won't take away from LeBron's greatness or his accomplishments, but not including his evident flaws that keeps him far from a complete competitor as Jordan is silly. But keep reaching.
Jay Burton I am not defending 2011. I agree that was a choke job. But you bring up game 6 2010 ECF. Name a player on his team that was as good as Paul Pierce that wasn’t Lebron. How about someone as good as Garnett? Rondo? Ray Allen? Yeah I’m sorry but no. You expect Lebron James to take a roster or Daniel Gibson, old Big Z, Mo Williams, a washed up Shaq, Jamario Moon, etc. to the finals, and then compete with the 2010 Lakers? Let’s just look at the ECF. The 2010 Celtics had KG, The Truth, Ray Allen who at the time was considered the greatest shooter ever, a prime Rajon Rondo, Kendrick Perkins who MVP caliber player Dwight Howard said was his toughest defender, Nate Robinson, Glen Davis, Rasheed Wallace, Eddie house, I mean, do I really have to keep going? Do you really expect Lebron to carry that team? Do you expect Jordan to carry that team? Now, let’s say they won, and they went up against the 2010 Lakers. Here’s who they play, Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Ron Artest, Andrew Bynum, Derek Fisher, and Sasha Vujačić. That’s a pretty good team. Not to mention they were coached by the greatest couch of all time in Phil Jackson. Not to mention his absolutely incapable front office that wouldn’t trade a no name player for a prime Amare Stoudumire. The deal was done until Cleveland got cold feat. You know what Chicago did for Jordan? I’m ‘91 Jordan had a very good team. Now Jordan was clearly the best player, but it was a very good team none the less. You had Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen who was a very good defender and a budding offensive player, Horace Grant, B. J. Armstrong who was a solid PG, John Paxton another good PG, Bill Cartwright who had the ugliest J but it went in, was a good defender and rebounder, and just did the dirty work. He also had the greatest couch of all time in Phil Jackson. Yeah it’s not a bad team what so ever like many people think. So excuse Lebron for going to Miami because he wanted a situation that could actually be successful. I see Lebron getting hate for it, I see Wade getting hate, but what about the original modern super team. I see no one calling out the Celtics for it. Like I said, 2011 doesn’t get enough flack for it, but Lebron was in a lose lose situation. He got everything he could out of his Cleveland rosters.
Jay Burton and also, you remember what the Cavaliers looked like before Lebron got there???? The bulls actually had some decent success before Jordan, the Cavs? What have they done before Lebron?
Look, LeBron is a spectacular player. One of the best we've ever seen. TOP 10 without question, but when people try to make the argument that he is top 5 or even say he's better than MJ is were the convo goes into a realm of idealism vs reality. The reality is Jordan is just as well rounded IF NOT a better all-around player as LeBron. Just as athletic. Has far more career accomplishments and has done so in less time than LeBron (so far). There is no argument. Especially not career wise...
agreed
What also his hard to compare is the era they played in, back then the tougher you were the more you succeeded. Flopping wasn't a thing back then because they let you play through a lot more. Someone like Lebron as big as he was, wouldn't be as effective as he is today because the players would elbow you in the back and talk mad shit which could for sure intimidate someone like Lebron who was never mentally as tough compared to someone like Kobe or MJ.
***** Mj WILL be surpassed. It's just a matter of time. Truthfully, Mj is not even the clea cut "goat" you could easily argue Kareem or Russell.
Darrel Be Theirs an argument for Kareem, but Wilt was a better player than Russell skill wise, he just had more career achievements then Wilt.
Bedcorn I'd agree. That's why I have Wilt in the GOAT convo too
You can't chase a ghost in Chicago, when you've been overshadowed by someone else in Akron...
Lebron only have one strong side, driving the basket. Mj have more weapons, left n right, pump fakes reverse, spin you name in all. Until a person was born with that tools, you tell me. But it's definitely not Lebron..
And Lebron is better than Jordan in turnovers..
lbj shoots both hands
Kobe bryant literally is the same as Michael Jordan with moves and close by awards. so Kobe is that other guy that was born with those tools.
Splash Sr you're right but he's not better than Jordan we'll be waiting some other time..
Zoreign Dear There will be no Kobe or Jordan in the meantime.. its just not possible.. they dedicate the game 24/7 and how much their legacy has become... yeah theres not gunna be another Kobe or Jordan
Jordan wasn't a "poor" 3 point shooter. He was a regular one, he wasn't curry but in the finals with the normally 3point line he has 40% and his worst 3p% he tried 0.7 per game. There is no context, there isn't clear which ones where half court shorts or one that you try when the games is over with 2 seconds. When he tried a nice volumen of 3 point attempts he was with 36%-39% that is a good 3 point shoot. He wasn't the best and wasnt Good, he was acceptable, wasn't one of his greatness but also wasn't a flaw.
Lebron is a better player but MJ had a better career.
Simple as that xD
That makes no sense stop trying to make a fallacy LeBron had more help and couldn't have a better career, hence he was the worse player.
I watched Bulls 2nd 3-peat in 90's with my own eyes and dont sell me Lebron had more help than MJ on his 2nd 3-peat lol.
you must be stupid as shit to say LeBron not top 5
***** He did though. In the 2nd threepeat pippen had two finals series where she shot 38 and 39% respectively. Also rodman didn't have great rebound numbers during the bulls second threepeat (8.6 rbg, not bad, but not rodmanesque). Stop being a prisoner of the moment, MJ wasn't perfect (Even though in the finals he was ;)), and LeBron for sure has a chance to out GOAT MJ (IMO he needs to match ring count or at least get 5, and 1 more mvp). Don't disrespect MJ like that, LeBron has a chance, and if he continues to win (which I somewhat doubt to the Warriors being so dominant, and having the same depth situation as the cavs) Then we can talk about this. Just remember 2011, like it was said in this video, ultimately if LeBron doesn't continue to win, Mj lovers (including myself) Can use that choke ass situation ON THE BIGGEST STAGE.
When LeBron has a worse finals in his physical prime then Curry's but everyone forgets just because it was 5 years ago #HowSoonTheyForget #LeBRON got outplayed by a 37 year old Jason Terry lol, would never happen to MJ.
STILL, I'm NOT Hating on LEBRON he's top 4 on my list and will 95% be #2 at least, number one he has a chance, just not a high one. (Continue winning, and stay good with age like MJ did developing his game and so did kobe, also the 2011 blunder).
Jordan made it look so epic and took your heart and soul. man I miss watching him play. Greatness and poetry in motion.
Compare Larry bird and Lebron James that's more Realistic
LeBron is better no doubt tho
Lebron passed bird years ago buddy
+Tomas Dan thats debatable
Steven .Phu nope
+King Wani nigga wtf are you talking about
i don't get why so many people just say mj without thinking._.
Exactly
nike brainwashing
because its been true for so long they dont need too but will prove it when needed
because u dont even need to think
MJ>Lebron end of discussion
jordan is better
I pick kobe
Kobe is more like mike than LBJ. It's embarrassing that people compare LBJ to the GOAT
L
+stephen alexander i agree
Boi
"On the LOW" I thought about saying that in the video lol
MJ is better and Pluss he got way more awards than LJ and Mj's shoes also more famous than LJ 😎😇
I appreciate how you keep the focus on the topic and comprehensively go through the stats.
I am curious as to the age of some of the commenters on this video. I have watched magic, mj and Lebron. Not from historical numbers but as it was happening.
There is NO question that MJ is the goat. Let on will eclipse Jordan's numbers. But that isn't telling you the story. Jordan's numbers came when they mattered most. Clutch in the fourth if needed. Put most teams away by the middle of the third, played in the era of hand checking which makes a HUGE difference. And there is no one I would rather have the ball with at the end of the game. You fans are young. Too young to really remember Jordan. Trust me. Jordan was leagues ahead of Lebron
SMH Lebron aint even Top 3 yet let alone the GOAT
lol then who's 2 and 3?
Yet your a random guy on the internet trying to say who's the goat😂
paul hatley You're* trying to talk shit and can't even use correct grammar lmao
Kj R Magic, and K.A.J
+Joseph Oko I agree with k.a.j. but lebron probably better than magic BTW I ain't a lebron fan
1. Michael Jordan2. Magic Johnson3. Wilt Chamberlain4. Oscar Robertson5. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar6. Bill Russell7. Shaquille O'Neal8. Kobe Bryant9. LeBron James10. Larry Bird
I had to stop watching to comment: he gave Jordan a 4.5 in scoring!!!! What in the world is that about? People these days really love that 3 point shot hahahaah.
Also, Lebron a 5 on defense is almost just as ridiculous. Outside of some nice blocks, I have yet to see Lebron assert his defense on the other team ever.
You didn't watch the 2011 ECF?
Great video man I subbed when I saw your 4 reasons why Damian Lillard is one of the most underrated players video earlier today
thanks man
+djsu12 but he's not got the greatest Defense in the league tbf
+Legend Of Winning I know u were trying to be fair and show weaknesses but turnovers was not a weakness of MJs he has lowest turnover percentage (9.3) of any player with over a 30 usage rating he had extremely good ball control.
Top 5 players
1.Jordan
2.lebron james
3.magic Johnson
4.kareem Abdul jabber
5.kobe bryant
tbh kyrie better than lebron
i agree
Yah both stupid lmaoo...how is a nigga who couldnt even qualify for the nba playoffs before lebrons departure , better than the guy who lead in all categories in the damn finals while having 2 40 pt games not to talk of damn near avg 40 last finals
Oma Idolor look Stats are for Losers
Oma Idolor and were not stupid
Franklin Clinton hes a better scorer ...hes not better than him thats just dumb
uh lebron is not by far the best player to have entered the league in the last 20 years, he's slightly better than kobe and duncan
If you actually think about it he is
I love the nickname part
Aka. King James, LBJ, BRON-BRON HAHA THE BRON BRON PART HAD ME
What do you think about Bill Russel? Was he really that great in comparison to today's time?
I think Russel is a great player top 5 all-time, and would be great in any generation
Russell is great but in this time I think he wouldn't put up many points cos if he was putting up like 25 PPG then then now he'd put up like no more than 15 maybe like 10 doe. And 25 rebounds will prolly drop to like 15. And I think he average like 8 blocks lol which will prolly drop to like 3 in this gen. He'll still be great but not like back then. He'd prolly average like 15 REB, 15 PPG and 3 BLK. Maybe. Definitely not 11 chips. If he's on warriors then he'd get like 40 peat. Lebron still the GOAT doe.
...25pts??? yea just to let you know Russell never averaged over 20pts his entire career and the amount of blks he avg is completely unknown since the NBA never recorded blocks. Also, atleast in my eyes, Russell isn't GOAT because of the rings, he is GOAT because he defined the Center position
Rings don't mean fucking shit just stop with that. Ask me if Russell can guard Lebron or Jordan? Umm? Nope! He can't. Lebron can guard anyone also Jordan cos he's just as athletic and bigger and stronger. Which means Jordan can't guard Lebron. Lebron is a 6'8 Point God or Point forward... umm? FAX? Umm? L?
Russel gaurded 7'1 Wilt Chamberlain who could bench press 500 pounds and dislocated an opponents shoulder by blocking the opponent's shot...
Wilt Chamberlain used to work out with Arnold Schwarzenegger...
Lebron James no.1 over the last twenty years???? You forget Kobe...
and u forget shaq
Lebron better than Kobe
shaqs debatble tho bc shaq was injured twords the end and couldnt shoot free throws
shaq was drafted in 92.....96 would technically be 20 years. argument invalid
+princexmilano no he not
One of the most underrated accomplishments of Jordan's career came right at the very end of it. From the day he turned 40 years of age, a time in a player's career when they are meant to be sitting on a bench playing a handful of minutes a game, Jordan put up the following astonishing statline across 30 games:
22.4ppg @ 46.2% - 7.2rpg - 3.4apg - 1.3spg - 0.5bpg
Only one player in the league managed that statline last season (LeBron of course!).
He also became the only player in NBA history to score 40 points as a 40 year old and he nearly did it twice. In fact he holds the 7 highest single game scoring records for players over 39. With the miles on his legs there is massive doubt that LeBron would be able to get even close to that. Look at other players who came out of high school and see what they did in their late 30's or early 40's. The two most notable would be Kobe and Garnett. Well, we all know Kobe didn't even make it to 38 let alone 40 while KG is still going at 39 but he's a shadow of his former self not even getting past 4 in any major statistical category.
people who saying mj probably never watched him play and just say he's the best cuz every one else does legoat James > MJ Aka no pippen no rings
No Kyrie, wade, bosh= no rings
+Will Kirby Did he have a pippen no and he was 31 being down 3-1 to record wise the best team of all time. DO YOU GUYS UNDERATAND THAT?!?!?
they say pippen is a top 30 player of all time
25 my bad and LeBron James played THE 2ND BEST 3 POINT SHOOTER OF ALL TIME
+Epic Snappy 1 being Ray Allen smh
Lebron will be the Goat when he retires
Smart guy
He is a goat, he eats grass
ALL FACTS
lol MJ is so much more clinch, more crafty, a better team player, and doesn't falter under pressure like Labron, MJ excels under it! Not sure how to take people serious who say they pick Lebron over MJ on a team, they obviously did not live through both of their careers.
no need of discussion.
1. MJ
2. Kobe
3. Magic
4. Kareem
5. Bird
6. Shaq
7. Timmy
8. Bill Russ
9. wilt
10. LeBron
Yes need of discussion, LeBron is better than ten
Agreed
You lose all credibility putting kobe 2nd all time
1. MJ
2. Kareem
3. LeBron
4. Magic
5. Kobe
6. Bird
7. Hakeem
8. Duncan
9. Shaq
10. Wilt
11. Russell
He is much higher than ten
"One on one MJ would destroy Lebron" Skip Bayless
Although you quoted an idiot I couldn't agree more
Duh
Absolutely brilliant well put together video gave both players a fair shake with honest statistics and clips to back it up. Well done.
Another hatter on Jordan
How????
+Legend Of Winning I love Lebron but Michael is easily a better defender they both for some reason average the same amount of blocks yet Michael is a guard and Michael is clearly the better off ball defender Lebron is versatile but the 4s today are not as big and easier to guard Lebron can't consistently guard a true big man at least not effectively, and you put way to much emphasis on three point shooting like mj didn't average 30.1 points for his career on 50 percent career with probably the best mid range game ever in his prime
+Legend Of Winning Michael Jordan could shoot the 3 just as good as anyone else. He proved that when he faced off against Clyde Drexler. The whole shoulder shrug moment was because of the 3 ball. Like Jordan said "Clyde is a better 3 point shooter than I CHOOSE TO BE."
+IM REALLY BOUT TO GETCHA YA We'll Jordan was a 6'6" guard...
L
I'd rather have Kobe than LeBron lol
Kobe is over rated
I agree that Kobe is overrated, you could even argue he's barely top 10.
Kobe needs a center to win championships, LeBron needs an entire roster 😂😂 5 rings beats 3 maybe LeBron can prove me wrong
Lebron is not even better then Tim Duncan
+DaKK kobe needs prime shaq prime odom dfish horry prime bynum prime gasol and the best coach of all time to get a ring you where saying
Lebron had too many playoff disasters: 2009 Orlando, 2010 Boston , 2011 nba finals Mavs, 2013 game 6 finals Spurs, 2014 finals spurs. Jordan never had a meltdown and lost with a fight while Lebron at times gives up.
ahem
2009
mo williams with most ppg wtf
2010
mo williams with most ppg wtf
2011
ur right
2013 & 14, spurs were very good but i'll give them to you
The votes in the poll are split right down the middle 279 for Jordan and 279 for James
Average age of Jordan voter: 45
Average age of Lebron voter: 16
LBJ will never be better than mj. He needs to erase 2011, 2014, and 2015. I don't really count the 07 sweep against him but 2011 lost to mavs??? 2014 he got locked up by a 23 year old kawhi Leonard, 2015 he lost to a team that had never made it past the 2nd round in the past 5 years...
In 2015 2 of his star teammates got injured...
youre being oblivious to the other facts due to your hatred
You're critiquing a player based on the amount of failures he has which the wrong way to look at it. Im not saying lebron is better than jordan but when its all said and done if he does achieve more than him which is unlikely then you should give him credit.
What does the warriors never getting out of the 2nd round before then have to do? They were by far the best team last year and this year and had the MVPs both years. If anything 2015 proved Lebrons greatness, he got the Cavs to 6 games literally by himself against the best team in the leauge. This is just a stupid and illogical kind of hate.
+blitzandgoo hes trying to bash lebron and ignoring the 73-9 record
Michael Jordan = GOD
LeBron James = Human
Dont compare human beings to '' HIS AIRNESS ''
heck Lebron is not better then Tim Duncan
I'd say Lebron=superhuman.
Jordan=basketball machine.
The machine is better.
if the cavs beat the Warriors with kd and both teams are healthy then I think he'll be considered better than MJ
no he will not be better heck he not even better then Tim Duncan
KD and Curry will trash LeBron
+Andrew Blackop that's what I'm hoping for
Troy Rush Same
+Franklin Clinton I'm not saying that it's what I believe,I'm just saying the majority of people will say he's on the same level for had a better career than MJ,and it'll be hard to argue against that
Lebron is no where near Michael Jordan 😴 just simply because Jordan is the GOAT.
fax
+Hype Slayer L
+Kevin Durant fuck off
obviously i was around. why else would I make such a comment. This dude went flawless in the finals. Lebron's record in the final is 3-7 lmao
Great video man, very well put together! Do you have any ideas for players to compare if you decide to make this a series? I think Kobe and Duncan could be interesting since it seems to be a common discussion. If you wanna get real tho, you should do Hasheem Thabeet vs Sim Bhullar 👌
im a lebron fan and this is my top 5 of alltime.
1:Mj
2:Lebron
3:Kobe
4:magic
5:Bird
Lebron will retire as greatest of alltime
Lebron at 2 I'm a bron fan too but not yet
mj better than lebron? how???? smh confused an I grew up watching mj Play. only thing Jordan got over lebron is he played in an earlier league
Na kid do your research and stop parroting espn talking heads. Jordan and Kareem are both 1 and 2
Claudio Martinez He just won't...
I thought this was a fair analysis of a daunting and controversial topic - very hard to compare players of different eras - that being said, a few things I want to highlight. When LBJ went to Miami and they lost to Dallas, LBJ didn't feel like the leader. Dwayne Wade had a ring, it was Wade's team, it would have been hard for LBJ to not defer to someone that had proven playoff experience and accolades. Also, let's look at teammates - Jordan said that Pippen was the best player in the league and had few weaknesses and when Jordan left to play baseball the year his Dad was murdered, Pippen and the Bulls won only a few games less that following season. After years with the Cavs, the team built so little around him, that when he left they were last...dead last. One player can't win championships...and LBJ almost did. You put just ONE player on LBJ's early Cleveland teams and we see a different history. Great video.
thanks for the input. I completely agree with what you said about LBJ teammates. LeBron carrying that Cavs team to the Finals is one of the greatest thing I jave ever seen, but that Dallas series was so disappointing that I can't excuse it. Also I do think if LeBron had a player like Pippen his first few years with the Cavs would've been more successful
+Legend Of Winning lbj ran outta gas now he learned how to cruise in reg season.
+Legend Of Winning bro your cover art is crazy nice, but other than that I watched this video and you earned a subscriber.
If a raw unsuspecting Piippen began alongside James, he most likely would have been a scrub or another raw 'potential' player that didn't make it (and we've seen hundreds of those in the past 50 years). So its' not fair to say 'Jordan had Pippen'.... really? he 'had' him, or did the coaching and Jordan 'make' him. Same with McHale and Bird. Would McHale have ever been something without Bird? Winning basketball is about only four things: (1) Star player leadership and the ability to help others around you grow, or at the least the star must give others a sense of confidence and strong family unit team spirit (2) Team chemistry and how players complement each other at both ends of the floor, (3) Coaching staff with high level skills alongside the equally important qualities needed from the previous (1), and (4) Great floor IQ throughout the team (usually with little imbalance) with the full understanding of defensive switches and where to stand/move without the ball on both offense and defense. It's not James fault, or Garnett (didn't know how to be a leader, only knew to pump up his teammates with chestbanging and swearing) or Kobe (didn't understand leadership until after 10 years in the league) for not having the leadership skills required - it's the NBA for allowing young pups with no college to come into the league. I guarantee you had those three gone to college training and survived healthy bodies, they would have been better leaders. When 'proven' all-stars with experience (big time franchise players) are traded to be alongside other big time all-stars, then that is silly and is why the NBA is the most predictable sport by far. Yes Jabbar got lucky that Magic turned out to be great, but he wasn't proven as an the NBA when he joined the first year, he just happened to have sprouted perfectly and quickly... same with Duncan. And Pippen took a few years longer to grow. None of those examples parallel stupid trades of 'proven' players like what Miami did in 06 or Boston in 08 or Miami in '11 (which was laughable, considering they actually took huge pay cuts to stack the team with the best 3 players in the conference in their respective positions LOLOLOL) ..... the NBA is stupid. After Jordan retired, the league has become more of a joke than ever... I only watch it for the sake of watching an old school team Spurs which kept its core players without incredible all-star status and never complain and quit the team or retired after all those heartbreaking playoff losses where they were favored.. instead, they stuck it out for many years well far past winning the first 4 titles, and got rewarded by going to the finals TWO MORE TIMES and winning one of them in the GREATEST THRASHING OF AN INCREDIBLE STAR CALIBRE TEAM (MIAMI) LIKE NO OTHER STAR CALIBRE TEAM OF SIMILAR TO MIAMI'S CALIBRE HAD EVER BEEN DESTROYED BEFORE IN THE FINALS LOSING Y 20+ POOINTS ON THEIR OWN COURT TWICE IN A ROW AND BEING DEMORALIZED TO THE POINT OF CRYING AND BREAKING UP THE TEAM AND QUITTING!! DID SAN ANTONIO QUIT WHEN THEY LOST TO MEMPHIS IN THE FIRST ROUND A FEW YEARS AGO EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE FAVORED TO MAKE THE FINALS? DID THEY GIVE UP WHEN THEY LOST TO THE CLIPPERS (BARELY) IN 2015 BECAUSE SPLITTER WAS PLAYING AT 60% AND PARKER AT 70%, BOTH DUE TO INJURIES (IT'S A WONDER COACH POPS EVEN RISKED PLAYING THEM). DID THEY SAY TO THEMSELVES "WELL, MAYBE PARKERS DAYS ARE DONE, MAYBE THE TEAM OVERALL IS GETTING OLD, MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST PACK IT IN" NO NO NO DID YOU SEE MANU AND TIM RETIRE? NO NO NO.... AND HOW ABOUT SOME OF THE OTHER QUESTIONABLE PLAYOFF SERIES THEY LOST FROM 2008 TO NOW? HOW ABOUT LOSING TO OKC AFTER DESTROYING THEM BY OVER 40 POINTS? HOW ABOUT THE LOSS TO MIAMI WHERE THEY HAD MIAMI IN GAME 6 AND IT WAS OVER AND TOOK THE COMBINATION OF SEVERAL FACTORS SUCH AS A MISSED EASY LAYUP BY DUNCAN, A MISSED FREE THROW BY LEONARD AND ONE GREAT SHOT FROM BOTH LEBRON AND ALLEN, ESPECIALLY ALLEN!!! WHERE THAT SHOT WAS THERE CLINCHER TO EVEN SURVIVE THE GAME.... SO JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU THAT THE BIG THREE 'WEREN'T EVEN ENOUGH', THEY NEEDED A SAN ANTONIO FINAL MINUTE MENTAL BREAKDOWN COMBINED WITH A 'FOURTH' ALL-STAR CALIBRE PLAYER ON MIAMI TO HIT THAT SHOT! AS A FAN IT WAS A DEPRESSING MOMENT IN BASKETBALL, BUT THEY MORE THAN MADE UP FOR IT BY CRUSHING AND EMBARRASSING MIAMI IN 2015..... WHEN THOSE GUYS RETIRE THERE IS NO BASKETBALL TEAM WORTH WATCHING THAT IS BUILT LIKE THAT THE OLD FASHIONED WAY.... JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT GOLDEN STATE WAS POTENTIALLY THAT NEXT TEAM TO FLOURISH WITHOUT BS TRADES, THEY GO AND GET DURANT - FUCKING ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!!! .
+Paul Sokoloff would bird be anything without parish
LeBron James is a Robot and he has a chip.
Because Michael Jordan was all natural, that makes him a better player.
Mike is better, but I don’t know about this logic.
What is about Kobe ?
kobe was a great scorer, and a great player. he wasn't the best though. I feel like if he retired a couple years ago he might be recognized a bit more
Too inefficient, too little distribution. Fringe top ten, but not top five.
+Justin Lasker something you gotta remember with distribution is that in the last couple years is he's playing with guys who don't care about winning and don't get the job done in games. He's wanted to take control cause he knows they have little chance of doing good
tell me 4 players better then kobe.
1. Jordan 2. Kobe 3.Bron bron
Do one where u say y kds move to gs is much worse then LBJ to Miami
bruh thats dumb cuz its litterally the same thing
If LBJ never went to Miami, then KD never would have gone to GSW
lebron lost to the celtics in the playoffs, left the cavs with mo williams to join the heat, who won 41 games and lost in the first round.
kd lost to the warriors in the playoffs, left thee thunder with russell westbrook and oladipo to join the warriors, who won 73 games and made it to the finals
Jason Lee Lebron set the precedent of players leaving on their own and forming their own super-teams to chase rings. The past big threes have been manufactured by the owners with trades
+boolin no...
17ppg in the Finals getting shut down single coverage and averaging 2ppg in the fourth quarter and losing in a series when his team had home court advantage.
Jordan never lost a series when his team had home court advantage.

NBA Record 6 Finals MVP (doubling the number of the person in 2nd place).
Never

The
3rd image was taken a few weeks after the 1993 NBA Finals from
SportsCenter stating that "Not Only is Michael Jordan the Best Ever, but
it's not even close"; The image itself illustrates Michael Jordan and
the help he had compared to the rest of the All Time Greats and the help
they had while winning. His father went missing a week after this was
broadcast. He retired before the next season started. SMH.
The image that I posted above is to show not only what he did, but HOW he did it. Far and away better than everyone else.
Now look at his Playoff Records:

This is why I believe its "trolling" if someone says someone other than Jordan is the Greatest Player of All Time.
fam you said LeBron is the best player in the last 20 year what about Kobe
Lebron is a better overall player. Kobe can't pass and isn't that good on defense. He clutch dœ.
+pussydestroyer69 Bruh what do you mean? Kobe has made like 11 or 12 all defensive teams. You're sleep.
+pussydestroyer69 kinda true except his defence is pretty good
LeBron is a vastly better player than Kobe. We're ranking them as team players, not individuals. LeBron can distribute and lift his team in ways Kobe never did. No comparison here.
+Justin Lasker yea
I liked this video a lot. But I still think that Lebron is better than MJ at this point in time. Also I think that accolades are overrated because either they are a product of the team (championships, for example) or they are a product of people voting like MVPs for a quick example how in the 14-15 season James harden didn't win the MVP and he didn't even make all NBA 1st team when he had an amazing season. As for the reasons why I think Bron is better I have 2 reasons the 2007 NBA finals, and 2016 NBA finals. Saying that those 2007 cavs didn't belong there is an understatement they didn't even belong in the playoffs take Lebron out the equation that team is one of the worst all time. We know this because look what happened when he left. That year the cavs had one of the worst seasons ever and I think they still might hold or be tied with the record for longest losing streak. In 2016 Bron lead the cavs back from being down 3-1 and lead both teams in all major stats which noone has done
I had more to say but I couldn't cause the character limit on phones
but mj never wnt to 7 games
LeBron himself essentially admitted that the only thing he has left to accomplish is to usurp Jordan from his throne, to 'chase a certain ghost that played in Chicago'. This is a clear indication that he himself knows that he's still below Jordan on the all time list...........so I'm afraid that recency biased opinions of 14yo internet users aren't going to sway most people who know that MJ is still the real king.
Anyway, your reasons are pretty poor. Those 2007 Finals were a poor one for LeBron statistically and if you substitute Jordan's worst playoff numbers for LeBron's in that series, the Cavs are at least 2-2 after 4 games but more likely 3-1 with MJ leading them instead. Chances are MJ leads them to victory in that series.
The 2016 Finals - Dubs were rolling after 2 games, Steph wasn't 100%, his numbers for that series were WAY below his season numbers. Green got suspended at an absolutely crucial time and of course their defensive center Bogut, who changed the way the Cavs played in the first half of that series by denying them a passage to the basket, went down injured and LeBron and Co made hay from there on in, taking it to the paint at will. Yes he didn't play a lot in the games he did play but he set the defensive tone in those games, changed the offensive mindset of the Cavs and was a big factor for that reason. That Dubs team was nothing like the team that won 73 games, the Cavs played a different side basically, a lot less dominant side.
That is a team accolade, tbh.
+inefekt69 Even though Step wasn't 100%, he still played poorly. Kyrie cooked him on the offensive side, and he didn't try to draw any fouls for free throws. This is two Finals series in a row that he didn't play well. Offensively, they play poorly when they're missing the 3 ball that game and Steph dribbles up the court and jacks up a 3 without passing the ball, especially late in the 4th quarter. You're absolutely right about the Green suspension and the Bogut injury is what gave the Cavs the championship this year. Also, the Cavs running pick and rolls so Steph had to guard Lebron on occasion gave the Cavs a huge advantage.
I'm no Lebron hater, I think he's great. But there's certain things that will ALWAYS make MJ the GOAT. Lebron has never shown the same heart that MJ had in spades. Lebron literally has a top 10 and top 20 flop list, there's a list! That's something MJ just wouldn't do and that says it all for me. Then on top of that MJ has Lebron in most (not all) other aspects.
Jordan will shit on Lebron the rings can show that
I agree but the ring thing becomes rhetoric. Just do the eye examine. Mj is clearly the better basketball player.
+TheIverson1990 yes MJ is im 34 so I've watched both.
LMAO... JORDAN WOULDN'T BE JORDAN IF SHAQ, KOBE, LEBRON, AND IVERSON WAS AROUND IN THE EARLY 90's...
yet he would be better then lebron either way
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA... REAL LIFE, NOT THE VIDEO GAME THOUGH
The 6-0 finals thing is total bullshit- he was just losing before the finals.
Perfect except lebron isn’t close to Jordan on defense. You forgot to mention Jordan’s dpoy as well. Lebron is a 4 on defense max while Jordan is a 5
Plus of you're gonna do rebounding see if their above their position in rebounding and grade of that don't compare their rebound side by side without looking at other factors
Why I would choose Jordan
-In MJ's time there was a lot like I mean alot of great opponents example:Karl Malone,John Stockton,Hakeem Olajuwon,Dikembe Mutombo,Alonzo Mourning,Dennis Rodman(Pistons) and etc(Btw im not sure with the worm/dennis rodman)
-Defense was better at that time
- when Jordan was turning old he still averaged good
Im out of reasons
Why I would choose Lebron
-A Good Passer and finisher
-Versatile
-A good blocker
Im out of reasons
But I choose Jordan
But ANTHONY DAVIS will always be a better choice than both KAT and Boogie just because of his versatility, speed, defense, and decent offense(Srry guys haha)
6 rings
2 Olympic gold medals
1 Ncaa Championship
5 Mvps the last one 10 years after the first in 88
2 3peats
0 finals lost
1.5 year without playing but still the best when he came back
72 wins in a season
37 points per game in a season.
1 defensive player of the year in a era with the great defenders (Gary Rodman Dikembe Pippen)...
FACTS NOT HYPE
My top 10 NBA Players of all Time:
1. Michael Jordan
2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
3. Bill Russell
4. Magic Johnson
5. Wilts Chamberlain
6. Kobe Bryant
7. Tim Duncan
8. Shaquille O'Neal
9. Larry Bird
10. Hakeem Olajuwon
Michael Jordan is the best nba player to ever play. Lebron is the best basketball player. The reason i say this is the NBA plays a specific type of basketball and has particular rules that aren't used in Overseas, FIBA, NCAA, and High School. Michael Jordan has the perfect NBA size and the right position for his style of play. If you are a fan on basketball and watch how basketball is played at the different levels you will see this style doesn't work. Just go look at his college stats & highlights to see how more efficient and team orientated MJ played. Lebron has played the same exact way since he was in high school and has always made teamates better and teams hes on a championship contender with his style of play. Now when you have a conversation about the best its about results and its no debate their. MJ is going to find a way to win and Lebron is going to give you the best chance of winning. MJ is going to take and make the game winner where lebron is going to get the best shot for the game winner. Law of averages would say Lebron would be ahead because he is taking a higher percentage shot to win but that just shows you how much better MJ is he is taking lower percentage shots and winning more regular season games, playoff games, and championships.
This is by far the best comparison video I've seen. It doesn't rip both players and talk about what they did it wrong in their careers, it gives great points on why both of these players can be considered the greatest of all time.
On top of all those points in the video, Jordan was much more fun to watch and became iconic, surpassing the basketball universe and gaining a consensus international acclaim. I'm from Mexico, and people that don't really watch basketball knows and recognize Jordan, while they struggle to tell who Lebron is, even with the major media of nowadays.
this is why i look up to Jordan even though i didn't see him play i look up to him since he from New York and i always watch his highlights
KAREEM IS THE GOAT!!
Top 10 of all time (my opinion):
Honorable mentions:
Iverson, shaq, Jerry west, wilt
10: bird
9: Timmy
8: bill Russell
7: Oscar
6: Lebron
5: Kobe
4: Lebron
3: magic
2: Kareem
1: MJ
Btw I'm an Orlando Magic fan so this isn't biased or anything
LeBron is a power player, Jordan is a finesse player. Both fantastic ball players. It's like arguing over do I like oxygen or water. Both necessary to the NBA and both fun as hell to watch play the game...period.
+BSOLZ I'm a big fan but you could easily make a case for Michael Jordan being the better given his defensive accolades and stats. Also just watching Jordan on defense 1v1 he definitely was the better on ball defender and was able to lockdown 1 through 3. Lebron is bigger than mike in every way so of course he's gonna be able to guard power forwards and centers. But the thing is would you put him on boogie in the post or Dwight Howard back in 2011. Mj also did the other parts of defense better than lebron off ball, help defense, pick and roll defense.
Yeah, last night I compared all the stats of the most complete scorers in the post-Wilt era (before 73 they didn't record steals and blocks), and MJ came on top by a sliver, with Lebron and Bird tied for 2nd, Abdul-Jabaar 4th, and Magic 5th.
Soon as I heard comparing championships, it's already decided.. Hate comparing Championships because it's not an individual feat, but guess it can never go unnoticed.. Granted, I haven't finished the video yet
Bruh. Your intro was super professional 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
