The only place I've been able to see party morale ( besides my own party) is during a seige before they attack. Up at the top it'll show enemy and friendly party morale
I was reading a substack about nominalism and this quote by Bernhard Heinrich Karl Martin von Bülow came up - “To the meaningless French idealisms: Liberty, Equality and Fraternity, we propose the three German realities: Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery.” I think bannerlords practical nature is what makes it so replayable. There's no story to grow old, there's no "greater good" you're fighting for. You are playing to your own virtues and values until you decide otherwise. Right after the quote the author says "In this, we can see the disregarding of idealistic elements & the focus on what is observably real. People can argue endlessly about what the true meaning of things like liberty or equality is - a rifle exists without debate or justification."

Would you consider any full conversion mod playthroughs? I would love to see you conquer the Realm of Thrones map, it's gigantic and seems like it would take a lot of tactics to actually conquer it. Or Eagle Rising with the Europe Map, that's also huge and the Mongols are relentless. Tides of War is a really cool one set in 335-275sh bce, with a lot of changes to troop trees and tactics. Lots of anti cavalry stuff from the little bit I played. Also see a lot of youtubers who do their own challenges and set their own rules, for example "I can't use horse archers this playthrough" or strict rules to follow some roleplay thing they're going for, I think would be interesting as well, since Bannerlord's mechanics and lack of story already force the player to start making narratives in their heads.
Yep, RoT map is near the top of the list but I still probably will produce 80% content based mostly on lightly modded vanilla because that is what most guys play. I love the ideas though and would be eager to jump into it but I have so little time and so many things to try!

3:43 that one gives morale to your troops, which doesnt really matter because you shouldnt be losing to much morale anyways since you tend to kill more than lose against the AI anyways
I think you can see your units own morale when you go into the unit command on the top right? Also there's a perk that prevents your troops from routing if they're higher than t3 in one of the perk lines. Leadership I think. I'm assuming if the enemy commander(s) had that perk it would have kept their troops from routing to an even greater degree.

Not sure what caused it to come and go - I do toggle some UI settings, but there you have it, it's right there for each of your units. Still can't see the enemy morale but I suppose that makes sense!

If anyone knows of a way to stop that, I'm all ears.
Every time I chase a noble to take out in battle they just run away and next thing I know I'm surrounded by heavy cav. So I definitely think morale has an affect on troops because as soon as you take out all nobles the enemy troops lose all tactics at least on console.
It certainly helps and I mention that a time or two but it's also not clear HOW much it effects morale. Nevertheless, yeah, always try and disable enemy lords early, I concur.
