yeah i liked the bow. you stress me out when you charge with 1HP and your axe, haha. i get it though, the chumps pulled up at your property looking for trouble and so you have to let heads roll on principle. although the guys with arrows in their necks likely had a few seconds or so to think about what they have done 🤣

Honestly I think a good challenge would be trying to defend with no archers at all.

I think that using the console to make some nobles super strong is a great idea. Would be fun to have different nemeses throughout the series. Would raising their skills increase their effectiveness as captains too or is it just perks that effect that?

are you using a mod to have lords recruit such large armies? the largest army i've ever seen was no more than 1000

Absolutely insane battle. I always wonder tho, do you not enjoy RBM? I cannot play without it anymore:D Also about the foot shot you were talking about around 19:20, there is a mod - Artems lively animations, that makes soldiers who are wounded (below 30%) walk as if they really were. It’s not exactly what you wanted, since it’s not tied to the wounded part of the body, but still brings a lot of immersion to the game. Thanks for the videos dude!

I suck with a javelin. So yes Bow is better with me. But honestly when I gain most of is in watching the tactics and the different use of the map

Ngl, I now have a custom where I find a random melee unit in sieges and put an arrow in his head. I call it the Anti-Jinx Sacrifice. I've won 100% of the Sieges where I've gone through with this sacrifice, while my win rate for sieges where I don't do this (because I didn't get to set up my troops or defenses or because I forgot, or for any other reason) is only around 60%. I use javelins and throwing weapons, but I personally prefer using a bow and usually even join my archers, melding among them and commanding my troops from up there. I do this mainly for two reasons: 1. I suck at melee combat. This approach allows me to contribute while minimizing the chances of getting downed and letting Artificial Imbecility take over. 2. It allows me to find out real-time when my damage dealers are getting pelted by attackers and respond actively. Otherwise, I often get lost in the heat of the combat and deal with threats a bit too late. Diathma is one of my favourite cities to defend and your video shows exactly why. My personal favourite is Epicrotea, but I've never had a truly epic siege, so maybe that's why. I loved your bow gameplay and the dynamic in switching between bow and javelin to deal with shield users or more vulnerable targets. All in all, it was a great video. I'll admit your tactics for Diathma are more of a callback to sieges I've played myself than something new and useful for me, but it was still a great video to watch!

Tactics skill tree is mostly useless for the player. Only givee bonuses when you auto resolve battles basicly

High medicine doesnt only give your troops almost 200 hp, but also means only like 10% of the knocked out units die, so its easy to keep an elite army, given you dont lose a battle and get army wiped

A javelin barrel would be so op

Today I won my biggest keep defense ever. 250 good units + 100 militia vs 1700 khuzait units, roughly half of which were tier 5 and 6. Keep defense took place in the castle right above Husn Fulq, cant remember the name rn. It seems Im learning a bit from your videos

If you're playing on PC, I found that if it won't let me adjust my seige, it's because I have units selected. So I have to press ESC a couple times and then it will let me do it.

You can’t move siege while you have troops selected. Just hit ESC and you can select the siege.

Another epic siege!!! You can adjust your siege engines by clicking the ESC Button when you are in your troop adjusting window this does not work with the ESC button you should be able to go out there and then click on them!! You can also rotate the camera to position your troops easier. 🙂 I wanted to also make a siege there one day, i had never the oppurtunity because i am playing moslty on other places on the world!! This is an epic keep. I also love that a lot keeps have a little different layout when they are on other steps of their walls!!

why did the enemy have so much less attackers on the second attempt? did you limit the amount of troops in a battle? and did you change settings to easier?

The more of these I watch, the more I appreciate the efficiency and subtlety of the tactics in Bannerlord. This is coming from someone 1,500+ hrs in and still improving. (To new players) Stick with it, it pays off. TE thanks for another good one.

About the siege engines going gray when you are setting up, I have noticed only on console that is happening if i start adjusting my troops before i adjust the siege engines. So if i just load up the siege and start by clicking the siege equipment it doesn't go gray, it goes gray when i select a something else before.. I know there is some button you should be able to press to be able to undo selection. :þ

The bow thing, all I want is for you to do what you want. I come here to see a master at work, however you skin a particular cat (or castle siege) is (IMO) up to you. Arrow or javelin, just keep raining hell on those bastards. 🗣
