Love It BeerBiceps Bro.
In ancient days , they used to prepare alcohol with various tree barks, jaggery , boiling and fermentation processes. Since it’s all natural processes, the side effects were minimal. Everyone used to prepare in their own farming fields/forests. The brtsh understood this and forced their evil Lab-scientists to amplify the alcohol production so that they can commercialise it. But no one was buying their Lab-made alcohols. So they issued fatwa that arrest anyone who is making Alcohol at their farms…….why is this a concern? What is the major difference between a natural processed alcohol and the present the LAB-made alcohol ? The present day Lab-made alcohol destroys ur brain cells, memory loss, blackouts, insomnia, disturbed HPA AXIS, pancreatitis, insulin resistance, reduced response time of brain, and also liver cirrhosis….etc etc……thank you capitalism.😢😢
Can you call a lung specialist and speak more about smoking , vaping etc , how dangerous it is , in English podcast
you know its bad, why do you need a whole podcast about it? lmao
@@dannym3532it's helpful to understand the extant of damage these habits cause, just like most of us didn't know the extant of damage that alcohol causes to the liver, brain and the body as a wh9le
Sugar - No
Alcohol - No
Cigarettes - No
Vegetable oils - No
Have a good healthy life. No means no.
@@conradpinto how did you not know alcohol is bad for you? It’s literally a toxin. You need someone to talk about it for an hour? Lmao
@@NoName-bb2puwhat do you mean Vegetable oil? Explain.
He once treated my father , who had hepatitis B , back in 2015. I suppose he was in Delhi at that time in a hospital called ILBS. My father escaped death when he treated him. Later that year, he moved to Kochi and in 2016 my father fell sick again and died. He's such a great doctor, my family praises him till this date.
Have you got his phone number please
Podcasts like these are very much needed to our society!! When everyone's talking about shit, Ranveer comes up with conversations like Hinduism or Fitness & stuff. I feel like I have become a better person after every podcast of yours. Big fan, man!
This liver doc Philips is RABID ANTI-HINDU.
If you feel what people talk is shit, for many others hinduism is shit too!
Indeed
As aspiring surgeon and post mbbs student i would be inspired by such senior doctors who interact with patients with such a humble and non judgemental attitude
Yes please we need doctors like these who don’t only prescribe meds and treatments but have a calm and reassuring aura around them that the patient is being taken care of. You are the future. Please stay inspired
Kindly Read Ian Harris, an Australian 🇦🇺 surgeon and become an ethical surgeon, doc.

I am myself a liver transplant patient and hence have many diet restrictions and of course alcohol is a no. I loved this podcast and the previous one. People need to be educated about this organ. Please invite more doctors preferably liver transplant surgeons to talk about the various risks, complications that can happen after the surgery. It would be great to have Dr Neerav Goyal on the show.
Yeah it would be
They are not invited!! These people pay to "monk-e" and get themselves into the podcast! Samjhe Pandey ji

The doc is at the next level, making India proud with his work and innovation. A very eye opening episode. I am an occasional beer drinker but now I will think twice before having it. Looking forward to one more episode with Dr. Abby.
Whoa that’s amazing bro!
Doctors r Great wid incredible knowledge...Hatsoff 2our Indian Dctrs🎉🎉
Such a great episode. A community of support with other sober alcoholics and spiritual tools to living is completely transformative. There is hope! To anyone suffering under alcohol or other substances, you can get out❤ your life is valuable
impressed by the level of knowledge Dr has provided here in this podcast. wish this episode was made few years back could have saved a the person I know who died with alcohol liver disease. Please make reel and shorts about this stool transplant so that more and more people know about it. Thank you for making this podcast
Lost my 37 year old friend 15 months ago because of cirrhosis. Towards his end months, all he did was drink, had jaundice, lost all connection with his work, life, 7 year old child. I still remember him everyday. He was great guy. This substance destroyed him, and so so many others I know
Sorry to hear that 😕
I'm truly sorry for your loss. I believe that alcohol often mirrors our emotions. Initially, it may bring joy, with limits on how much we consume. However, when we start turning to alcohol for minor frustrations, the real challenge begins. It can escalate to solitary drinking, which is especially problematic. In my own experience, alcohol served as a numbing agent for shame, some of which was inherited, making us emotionally unaware. As consumption increases, it can lead to daily drinking.
I've been in that situation, but I chose to make a change. Currently, I'm on a journey to Stanford to delve deeper into psychology. My goal is to understand the intricate relationship between mental well-being and addiction.
@Ranveer I have following questions -
1. Even though you guys are promoting no-alcohol, both of you were once heavy drinkers and *kind of flaunt about your this history*. It gives impression to youth (teenagers in particular) like alcohol is something not be missed, may be later in life we may quit.
2. Your channel name is beerbicep which gives impression to general public is beer is something good for bodybuilding .
3. My this third point is not about you, it is a general question. Most of western people drink alcohol and have better health and life span than average Indians. This baffles me like if alcohol is so bad then why it does not seem to affect foreigners?
Note - I am asking these question only to have a good discussion, I myself do not drink or promote it.
Alcohol is absolutely bad for the health, there is nothing like a safe amount of it which will not affect your body. About your 3rd point, our work-life balance is not good. If you haven't experienced, their living standards is also on the higher side (technology or equipments they use). Quite a few are also gym freaks, which helps a bit in negating the ill effects. Alcohol is one factor affecting health, there are hundred other reasons due to which someone falls sick. Go to liver hospital and check data, you will notice, most were alcoholics, that is how you view data. Habits of people who visited the specialist hospital. In case of liver issues (mostly alcoholics).
1st point they say they were drinkers, because many drinkers say it is addictive and they can't quit, which is what they want to counter, that there shouldn't be any excuse and one can overcome it.
Very true. He makes it sound SO fashionable.
@@mohitpatel9974 True. Many foreigners i know who drink are also fitness freaks. They won't miss a single day in gym and they go for treks every time they have time off. Very healthy lifestyle, social and physical. They end up burning all calories that they consume.
Myth. In the West we have an cancer epidemic. 1 in 2 people will get cancer and it has been linked directly to alcohol as well as dietary and lifestyle factors. Many people are teetotal in my country especially young people because of these frightening statistics. What you see in Western movies should not be considered to be the norm here.
Like everything, the key is moderation. I drink alcohol occasionally (twice a month), never overdo it and exercise 5 times a week. Recently got myself checked out and the full body checkup reported stated everything to be fine.
He is doing very good job,Ranveer I m impressed by your topics, it's essential for youngsters
Good that people are talking about liver related issues. We need more such talks around Kidney (CKD, AKD) related issues too - Kidneys are also impacted severely by Alcohol/Tobaccos/Metabolic issues. And unfortunately, once you get chronic kidney disease then it's impossible to reverse it( You can delay it's damage but non reversible). Let's find some KidneyDoc too to address such issues because dialysis patients are increasing exponentially in India & abroad.
One of the best podcast sessions I've seen... Fabulously informative. Kudos to both of you for this frank discussion. Gonna share this with my buddies
Very intuitive session 🤍💗
Two points got my attention -
1) if you would be strong enough to handle sorrow or pain in a conscious state of mind , it shows your strength. Weak ones simply put themselves into that temporary dopamine rush. And even I think like this only. Happy that I didn't drink even in tough situations in my life.
2) I wish, people would listen their loved ones once. I wish.🙂
Thank you Dr Abby & Ranveer for the Podcast 😊🙏
Fantastic podcast. A lot to learn from this. Thanks for inviting this doctor.
I am sober for 3 months now shedding 11 kgs of weight by moving alot and balanced diet , i had been diagnosed with fatty liver there was a throbbing pain in my abdomen now the pain is getting ease day by day
the first thing that made to quit is the pic of removed chirrotic liver in the twitter of liverdoc
my mental clarity overall heath is improving steadily keep up ur good work doc ,spread the word
Fabulous episode. The bit about stool transplant and how it could be used not just for recovering from alcohol liver disease but for de addiction - mind officially blown! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Given the sheer shortage of donors, I wish liver/organ donation too was addressed. Perhaps the topic itself deserves a whole episode.
Afterall, 1 organ donor can SAVE ATLEAST 7 lives (or more!).
Much needed topic..... Your podcasts are awesome. Thank you and Dr. Abby for creating awareness and helping people to minimize the consumption of alcohol.
Pls invite Annamalai sir

I use to drink in every weekend from last 3 year consistently and wanted to stop drinking before i get addicted so while scrolling landed on this podcast , have to say it does help and given some kick and motivation now its been month i can say i have control over my brain thanku hope for the best
As a doctoral researcher, researching BPD and the stigma around it, its true empathy and compassion are a skill that is missing from the ethos of medicine. Very frequently someone who has BPD + substance abuse issues will be routed out of care just because they are judged and victimised by the medical staff whereas BPD and substance abuse both are treatable with the right tools!
Last podcast on liver health was very good this will be also informative thanks Ranveer bhai❤
wonderful podcast! 🎉 I really wish this videos gets more views and changes someone’s perspective!! This is a win!
Hi Ranveer
Thank u for the podcasts.
Would request u for more medical/health oriented podcasts...❤❤

My sister been drinking since she was 19 years n she is a chain smoker now she is 46 years old still fit n fine. 😅😅😅
What a great conversation,so full of wisdom
As an indian born and living in Germany it's still shocking how normal heavy drinking is to the people here. But having experienced as a kid how the parents from the Indian community got intoxicated I never started doing it. But people still aren't really aware how bad the long term effects of it are.
You nail everytime you try a New genre.. I love your this attitude mann... You don't know bro, how far have you changed my life via your thoughts and mindset that you reflect each time you start a podcast and run it... Just don't stop mann even if you have virat sir on your podcast ❤
This, as well as the previous one with Dr. Abby are two of your best episodes bro, THELIVERDOC needs to be heard by more and more people.👍
I stopped drinking for 5 years and went back occasionally drinking but drunk nevertheless. Now I am 63, I hate drinking but it seemed to have controlled me. This conversation has given me new hope. I will keep listening to this till the beer gives up on me. Hopefully not long after this
We need this one in Hindi, Please dub it or do another one in hindi. It will be aa favour on humanity.
Please make video for Cigarette Special, now even under 18 boys are smoking this is very big issue
Fantastic work Dr AbbyP.
Thank you so much randeep for this amazing podcast...thanks again...I was thinking about quitting alcohol but my mind was not ready...but you gave me a real help...thank you so much

All the information in this podcast is just mind blowing............ Changing my whole perspective towards alcohol......... A special Thanks to TRS........
Thank you Ranveer 😊
This was must awaited Topic
please india leave drinking alcohol and also please goverment band alcohol and drugs in india
Exactly….alcohol and India do not fit at all tbh I don’t get how it became popular there
Please improve your English 🤣🤣🤣
Ranvir the person sitting opposite to you is the doctor not you so must let him speak more rather than keep exaggerating your perspective solely just because you are the podcast holder....
One of my loved ones is his patient and a go along with him for consultation. Belive me he is incredibly good. even though he is working with a prime hospital in Kochi, he and his treatments are not much expensive and he always came with positivity and solutions.
Simply wonderful podcast!!!
Thank you for providing the podcast. I am a 24-year-old individual who has lately begun taking alcohol. One of my friends has encouraged me to consume alcohol. After listening to the entire podcast, I am determined to quit drinking alcohol.
What made you take alcohol in the first place by the way?
Hey, Ranveer & Team , this episode was super interesting and me being a doctor myself I want to appreciate the whole team for putting extra efforts in bringing such podcasts about health to help general public & education purpose. Even though I was expecting effects of alcohol on mental health as well but I can understand the time constraints too. A big shout out to the whole team❤❤❤.It makes me supremely happy to see the curiosity in you all for medicine & in general as well.
I think they’ll be a part 2 soon! I want dr.philip to talk about all of the stories so that more people understand!
I have been having large quantities of alcohol for more than 30 years and from 2012 to 2022 full blown alcoholic 24x7. More than litre every day. I hit rock bottom in April 22. ICU with heavy GI bleeding and more than 5 endoscopies with variceal banding. (Clipping). I was very close to death with stage 2 cirrhosis. I had the seizures, delirium tremens and hallucinations that were spoken about. I followed that up with 6 months rehab. It's been 2 years almost off alcohol of any kind. I don't take any medicines today, I exercise. Yes, some minor bodily problems are there, but so far so good. I'm glad I did the rehab, because the whole game is in the mind. Had to learn to control that first. Thank you for a wonderful interview with a very knowledgeable person. Served a great reminder of what this social poison is capable of and hope it helps some viewers of your channel.
Yes it does! Hmm bijit what’s your email by the way….I have a plan regarding your story!
❤
YOGA controls your mind , i have never taken alcohol excessively
An excellent podcast. The guest was knowledgeable and thank you for your passion to cure liver patients ❤
This is great... I would love if you could dubb this in Hindi so I could share with many of my relatives.. Too many important info in this podcast... Great work Ranveer. 👏 👏
A lot of people think I am uncool because I don't drink or smoke that's why Most of the people don't even wanna hangout with me because I won't be drinking with them.
What an amazing episode ❤, what an amazing person the Doc is.
Excellent information shared by Dr. Abby and awesome questions asked by you. Glad you had a full episode dedicated to alcohol usage which is so common these days. Hope to see a alcohol free country soon through educational podcasts from youngsters like yourself. Great work, looking forward to more content around health.
Thank you Dr Abby and Ranveer such a informative episode..
The podcast was excellent. However, if it had been in Hindi, it could have reached a wider audience, including those who drink and may not be aware of the side effects of alcohol. It could serve as an eye-opener.
An eye-opener. Such extra ordinary levels of research leading to new avenues of healing in medicine.
Another good aspect of this is the compassion shown by the doctor to his patients. Wishing for Doctors to emulate this path❤❤❤
What a brillaint podcast! We need more such education. Ranveer you are doing a great job brining such knowledgeable people on your podcasts. Just one honest feedback, your questions don’t utilise the opportunity. There is so much more you can get out of your guests if you ask more and better questions. Your guests are so generous with information and that’s maybe your personality but please seek more. Still grateful for your work
This is amazinggg!!
Such a good information, thank you doctor all young youth must listen. God bless you doctor.
Fantastic job ranveer and Abby. Such informative podcasts are the need of the hour.
Absolutely mind boggling and very informative as well as enlightening . Need to spread this awareness to more people. I Remember one dr advised me to drink occasionally for better heart health as he’s doing same thing and so healthy which inspired me then. You are doing a fantastic work, dr. All the best
Amazing content!!!!!! Love it as always, thank you TRS team for this💯💯💯💯
😱😱😱😱OMG Brilliant podcast. Thanks and well done Ranveer 👌🏽👍🏽🇮🇳
Really grateful Ranveer and Doctor Ebby🙏
It was so deep and informative there was so much I could relate to and wish I could know this before I could have a helped a life.
Ranveer it’s a request to elborate more on stages before chronic alchoholic liver disease such as body symptoms, mental patterns with which any person consuming alcohol can understand which stage he is in and ways to get out of it.
Ranveer, every loved one gives that wake-up call to the person abusing alcohol. Unfortunately, very rarely, people listen to the plea or feel the pain. The regret has to come only from within. This may be too late; a person may lose his health, his career, relationships or even life. As part of Rotary Club of Deaddiction’s drive I met many survivors; most of their spouses felt trapped and the alcohol abuser has no idea of the suffering others go through. Make more of such videos. Even if you change one life, you save a family. 🙏
Yes the pull of the addiction is so strong that the pleas of the loved ones go unheard. But kudos to doctors such as these who keep researching and looking for protocols that can help with deaddiction. Hope and awareness needs to be spread
an eye opener podcast for the people who drink heavily, i sometimes binge drink but now i know i have to quit it altogether before it grasp my brain like that Worm story.. you are doing a great work Ranbir 🎉 keep it up bro

Once I dranked too much and came home and also vomited in basin, tears started flowing out from my mothers eyes. I felt so sad and ashamed of myself that from that day onwards I never consumed any addictive substance. yet I feel content in realisation that I (1) already drank Shiva (0,♾). Shivoham 🙏

Absolutely brilliant, both of you
An excellent programme. Learned so much, especially on fecal transplant for treating liver problems. I first heard of it being done in an Australian clinic, which was treating irritable bowel syndrome and rendering overnight cures. It may also be used to treat obese patients. Implant the treated feces of a thin person into the gut of an obese person. The result is weight loss.
Thank You
Wonderful podcast and knowledge !!
This is amazing I never knew alcohol affected ur whole body and brain like I thought it was just ur liver the way he explained now I’ve realized why I’ve struggled too quit I’m a heavy binge drinker this opened my eyes up and scared me
