Thank you so much for the video on this technique. I am getting reading to make a blouse and did not want to do facings. I will watch again and take notes. Thank you so much
Just found this video because I'm planning to use bias tape to hem a dress with a split hem. This looks like exactly what I needed! So clever and well explained. Thank you!!!
Well done, I've never seen this technique. I have always placed a mark on the back of the fabric where the pattern has it. Then without stretching the bias tape I would pin the heck out it. Marking really is the key to success. Very easy to follow instructions. Thank you. 5*****
Thanks alot for this video! I have been trying to figure this out and your video just made it so simple. I had actually been avoiding V-necklines and now, a client has requested for it! Ild try this method and hopefully return with a success story! Thanks again
I love the idea to mark the seam allowance to identify the lowest point of the V neck, thanks for sharing love the origami part, very useful to see how it’s done!😊
Hello. I notice that you did not stay stitched. Another tutorial informs that the bias needs to be placed on the stay stitch seam is that method correctly? Or is placed on the edge? Thank you.
Alice. The edge of the bias tape should be at the edge of the fabric for this method but it really depends on the seam allowance of the pattern and the seam allowance of the bias tape. If it helps you can stay stitch and make sure the fold of the bias tape where you are stitching lines up with that stay stitching to ensure your seam allowance is correct! Is that helpful?
I'm pretty sure this is a sewing tutorial. Don't be like that kid in school who acts like a bra strap is distracting and needs to be snapped just because it's there. It's... Profoundly inappropriate and irrelevant to the actual content.
This is the best bias tape v-neck tutorial I've seen on youtube. Thank you SOOOOO much!!!

Amy, thanks for your amazing video. But I don't get the second line that you drew at 5:30. How far is it away from the 1st line? :)
WH Leung hi! It should be the finished width of your bias tape once it’s folded.
I did it!! Thank you so much!!!
Emma Coker yay!!!

This was the worst explanation ever! I’m so lost at the critical point....
