- George Richard Chamberlain born March 31, 1934, Los Angeles, USA is an American film and television actor, singer.
From 1961 to 1966 he starred in the television series Dr.Kildare, for which he received a Golden Globe Award in 1963. He also starred in such well-known films and televisions as Hell in the Sky, Shogun, The Thorn Birds, Casanova, The Bourne Identity, as well as several feature films.
In 2003, Richard Chamberlain wrote a biographical book, Shattered Love.
The book, he frankly spoke about the suffering he experienced, about the problems that arose in the artist's personal life due to non-traditional orientation.
Richard Chamberlain resumed his painting studies.
In his paintings the reflected his philosophical views.
This year, the artist turned 89 years old, however, despite his advanced age, he is still in the demand in the cinema, although at present he is often called for episodic roles.
Among the employers appeared tapes "Parts of the body", "Virtuosi", "Chuck".
Chamberlain did not leave the Brodway stage either, he was invited to musicals.
In 2017, with his participation, the film "Twin Peaks Return".

I feel pain and sadness, my heart is crying... He was really great actor and gifted man in many other aspects. And I can say I have been in love with him through his Father Ralph and his other characters. He is staying with us forever as his creations.

Rosa V and her comment pretty much says it all. She loves Richard Chamberlain with a hundred hearts after!! Just like all his fans. From his days as the greatest Television Idol of All Time to his later fame as the King of the MiniSeries. It is no stretch at all to say that Richard Chamberlain was second only to Elvis himself, as a Pop Idol. Dr.Kildare wasn't a Television Series. It was a National Craze!! To think that Captain James T. Kirk could have been Dr. James Kildare makes any fan shudder. Yes, William Shatner was offered the Title Role before Richard Chamberlain. A near tragic error in miscasting. Although I never saw the show in its original run, it was clearly an exceptional series. Just the four and five minute segments on You Tube bear that out. Acting chops and nearly unsurpassed looks. To top it off, a modest man who never took his great fame seriously. It was left to his Legion of fans to do that

Nel ruolo di padre Ralph ha affascinato di più nelle sue espressioni tormentate che in quelle sorridenti, rare per fortuna.
