I have been a fan of Japanese martial arts for over 10 years, and as a Japanese fan, if I were to create a ranking of Japanese flyweight fighters, I would place Kai Asakura in second place, with a considerable gap from third. However, the undisputed number one is Kyoji Horiguchi. In my opinion, Horiguchi is the strongest flyweight fighter in the world. Since last year, Horiguchi has expressed his desire to return to the UFC and win the belt. However, due to factors such as age or differences in social media popularity, he has not been able to secure a contract, and instead, Kai Asakura is set to join the UFC.
It's kind of crazy that Garry and Shavkat trained together and are both undefeated. They must have been fantastic training partners that majorly improved each others skills. This fight should be interesting considering they know each other and know each others weaknesses.
