Any deck with Red in it I play Lightning Bolt. People shit on it in EDH but I have killed so many problem commanders with 3 or less toughness or even problem creatures that need to die immediately. Its a 1 mana removal spell essentially at instant speed. Play Lightning Bolt people!!
Personally lovet the upgrade for this deck. I think goes in the perfect direction of making the core of the deck better and each one can use the big finisher they have or they like to play.
One thing WOTC has been doing I'd love to see talked about in these videos: they seem to have ditched the third new commander in favor of a reprint commander (in this case, Kess, dissident mage). They often seem more viable out-of-the-box than the back up commander, so I'd love to see them considered in that step of the build.
I've seen the list for this precon and my first thought was: how the hell are you supposed to win with this? I don't get how cards like Deekah or Talrand are not in the deck already. Instead they just put in a bunch of big mana spells that honestly don't seem even that good.
I think dwarven reinforcements would fit nicely in this. Is a instant that makes 2 fader tokens so your +3 sacrifices and you can fortell it to use mana more efficiently.
Surprised they didn't add Ral Zarek where you can deal damage when you cast/copy a aspell as a game ender. Throw in a copy spell like Expansion//Explosion and that's a winning combo
I think dark salvation should be an autoinclude. Flexible removal spell which creates 2/2 tokens and can get rid of up to two utility creatures. And the copy counts the zombies the original spell made
Parnesse forces an opponent to cast a spell, and she counters it unless they pay 4 life, so it forces someone to decide between casting the spell and taking 4 dmg, or just not have anything happen
Kinda surprised not to see Veyran mentioned. Doubling your commander's ability along with all of the other magecraft and token gen triggers just seems so good here.

Wow, I'm surprised Talrand is only $0.20 now. Probably because it's been reprinted so many times. I imagine it'll go up after this though, it slots into this deck perfectly.
How about Krark the thumbless? Its a 2/2 if you absolutely need something to resolve you can sac it to your spell, if you have your token strat you can sac the token and potentially get either 3 spells or 1 and the ability to repeat the process which is pretty bonkers
