I used to be a M-H Therapist. I didn't believe her from the start. She is like most of the women I worked with in my practice. She strikes me as very dependent on all-things-Stephan. She is like a vacant shell, didn't care about Maddie, said she was going to kick Maddie out the second she turned 18. I can hardly watch her lying face. I find her disgusting. She coddled Stephan who was fake-crying while Maddie was missing. Stephan's mother appeared to coddle Stephan and blame Jenn for his bad behavior. The whole thing is a mess. He did try initially. He wanted more contact and more custody. But Jenn's family hired expensive lawyers who made contact virtually impossible. The reasons for Jenn fighting so hard for Maddie was surely to be nasty to biological dad, control and for financial gains in the long run. Bio dad and his current wife seemed to sincerely care about and love Maddie. They were sadly unaware of the sleeping arrangements at Jenn's house.

I don't think it's impossible that Maddie didn't say a word to anybody. I have a cousin who this happened to for 9 years and she never said a peep to anybody. It was another child who came forward. But here's my problem with Jen Soto. This was under her own roof. My cousin, this happened at somebody else's house. And you're missing a very important fact. Stefan and Jen were not even a couple at this time. He was just a friend. And even if they were a couple who lets their boyfriend sleep with their daughter. I have a son, as a single mother I didn't even let any of my boyfriends in the same room with my son was sleeping. I didn't even let them babysit him. But the fact is lots of kids never say anything because they're being blackmailed or threatened. But I still go back to the fact that this happened under her own roof and she fed that child to that monster. In one of her interview she made the comment that she didn't think "the sex stuff was evil". That right there is a comment that even a deaf person can hear as I knew something was going on but I didn't care. All missing children cases are horrible but for some reason this one really gets under my skin.

It depends on what age it starts and how likely the protective parent is to believe the child and stop the abuse. I have children that are both Maddies age when the CA for Maddie started AND the age where it tragically ended for her, and both of my children would not hesitate to come to me if anything even slightly off happened to them. What that tells me is that Maddie knew Jenn was not going to help (IMO she was involved) and that because Jenn would defend SS over her, she knew Jenn would call her a liar if she told someone else. IMO if Maddie told someone else Jennifer would 100% have called Maddie a liar. Im very very sorry to hear what happened to you. It was not your fault, it was not your fault for keeping it a secret, and Im angered for you that you had no support system to allow you to escape the horrific ab*se

I'm afraid I have to disagree. People show emotions whenever a child goes missing. This is her daughter. She is certainly not sad. She is calm, but her demeanor is a red flag. I am certain that Stefan and she have rehearsed what they would say. She is guilty. She was aware Madeline had been sexually molested by Stefan. Sorry, she is an accomplice. Arrest her.

I wish people would stop making excuses for Jenn. Her reaction was not normal by anyone's standards. She was more focused on telling us why Maddie had been taken by someone else while not seeming concerned. She made sure to say all the negatives about Maddie in a sneaky way. Look at the big picture. Just because she's a woman doesn't mean she gets the benefit of the doubt. I think she knew, I think it's highly likely she acted to cover it up.

Audio of the police interviews with Maddie’s teachers and guidance counselor was released several weeks ago. Even though some of them seemed to genuinely care for Maddie, they all dropped the ball. When a student routinely has their head on their desk, displays excessive sleepiness, asks to go to the nurse several times a week, reports vague physical symptoms, cannot stay focused, cries, appears depressed and anxious, and gets more withdrawn as the school day comes to an end and the child has to return home……all of those are red flags that the child is dealing with trauma in the home.
I hate to blame teachers because we all know they are overworked and underpaid but they have a responsibility to the children they teach to spot child trauma. None stated that they had filed any report to the police on Maddie’s behalf.

But the fact is her not showing emotions it could be based on her medications. So don't try and make generalizations based on how you react to certain situations. It's not fair it's not accurate and it's kind of pointless.

When we got older when I was 32 years old he decided to tell the whole family out of guilt, they all called me to my grandmother's house it was like a meeting and told me I better not do anything to get him in trouble or make him feel bad because he's going through a hard enough time over doing it to me. I believe Jenn has "phoned in" motherhood, let others take responsibility for Maddie. She is selfish, self centered and stupid. She let Stephen tell her what happened and parroted it back. She is realizing her neglectful, nonchalant attitude towards parenting is having a consequence. The worst kind of consequence. I don't believe she knew Stephen murdered her daughter. But she may suspect. I don't think she is complicit in the murder. I do think she is guilty of being a neglectful mother. Which lead to child abuse and Maddie's eventual murder. What I heard from what the detectives asked Jen latest interview release are very interesting. How Jen kept track of Maddies periods and Maddie was late in Feb, and they asked if she ever discussed the topic with Stephen. Also, did you take any steps? Then asking if she had a apple watch. Where Maddie charged her phone .Alot about the 4th bedroom. She is way guilty of more than neglect. Curious about the dog leash questions 🤔 I wonder if he strangled her with it. My son didn't get off the bus one day out of the blue. So I thought for a second, maybe I mixed up days and he's at band or one of his groups at school.
No. Not the case he should have been on the bus.
So immediately start calling him, his phone must had still been off from being at school.
I call my husband because he works right down the street from the high school.
By this point, I'm completely freaking out. Another 5 minutes or so pass, and I see him finally waking up our driveway. I must have had the omg look on my face because he immediately says I'm OK! I fell asleep on the bus and got off a few stops down the rd.
    Complete heart-stopping moment.
The entire situation lasted less than a half hour.
At 24 hours, I do not think I could stand there talking to people. I would be a wreck.

In my opinion she should be charged with facilitating sexual abuse of her daughter and I mean you know they were taking her away from her mother removed her from the home because from all anyone has ever said a lot of people loved Madeline so I’m sure that you know there’s no shortage of people who would have taken her in and loved her protected her , you know kept her say and I am sure of it. I was abused over a length of time. I was 13. It was the father of children I babysat for. I was from a broken home. He started by telling me how much he cared for me. It then turned to love. I knew it was wrong, but the attention was needed by me. I am 68 years old now and have never told. My mother never knew. Her boyfriend tried it also. I still run into my abuser on occasion. I found out later that he abused several other young girls.

Also they both said Madeline was wearing white crocs when " she left for school " so where did JS think the one white croc of Madeline's in JS bedroom come from, if Madeline was supposedly wearing them. These two facts alone make me think JS knows a lot more than she's letting on.
I also would have liked the detective's interviewing JS the first time , to ask her, when she said she " sent " Madeline and SS to bed in bedroom number 4, how many beds were in that room. Bad enough she " sent " them to the same bedroom, she " sent " them to the same bed. She needs to be held accountable for that alone. She put her daughter in danger. From New Zealand 🇳🇿
