Thanks for the video. Did you consider installing a lighter-weight distro on the computer, such as Lubuntu or Q4OS?

I have done install guides for lubuntu and Q4OS previously. Q4OS would definitely be a great option. I wanted to show there was a lightweight version of mint as well

I have an idea: instead of installing Mint directly onto a PC with only 28 GB memory (if I heard you right), why not just leave it on a live-boot 128 GB USB drive?. If you used Rufus instead of Etcher, you can set up persistent storage, too. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

28 GB is enough for Linux as it doesn't hold onto loads of files every time it updates. If there is a usb3 then running of usb would be ok but if it is usb 2 then it might run a little slow

Every time I have used Etcher, the install not only fails, but I am left with an unusable USB drive. I use Rufus instead, and have never had a problem with it.

Etcher has never really let me down and it is cross platform which is why I like it but if you prefer Rufus then use what works for you. I like Google Chrome and I know loads of people hate that.

@@EverydayLinuxUser Thank you There is also Chromium browser, which I think is de-Googled Chrome (or at least it is open source Chrome).
