"Teeth have socks on", love it perfect description. Wish you both the very best of luck. Hope the 312 goes well and keep pushing through the dark moments you are trained for this and it will be fantastic. Look forward to seeing the next video!
I had a god trip. But, back on the UK roads now, and it just highlights how smooth the Mallorcan tarmac is. Our roads are so heavy to ride, stopped twice on one ride to check that I hadn't got a puncture.🙄
Precision Hydration Chews - 30g of carbs are absolutely brilliant - not too sweet, bit like Turkish delight texture. Brilliant to nibble on on top of carb mix - definitely worth a try. I hear a rumour that they've added more feed stops after last year when it was apparently utter chaos at the first couple. I've ridden the 225 route on my own last year and its brilliant day out - tempted to give it a go this year again in June. There are some slightly sketch descents (bit potholed, narrow and tight beds) around the Galiliea area I seem to recall but itll be super strung out by then so you'll have space to take your preferred line - everything else is brilliant
Great vlog as always you pair. Just got back today(Friday) from Mallorca.. Have a great ride at the 312. Please be carefull if there's any sign of damp roads, especially the decents. Only experienced 2 days of rain on our trip, but heard of quite a few mishaps on the slippery wet roads. We will be back out there in early June, with our wives, for a couple of weeks to enjoy some (steadier rides) in the heat.I'm sure that you'll get your target. Looking forward to the ride video. About to , force feed, your videos of 'Femme tips' to my cycling wife.
Sweets/ gels and so on make me feel very nauseous after a while. If you fan of ginger try "active root" nutrition - all natural and excellent taste. I will try some of the ones you recommended.
You'll find many 'off piste' opportunities for a pee behind walls. The first big pee stop is at the last roundabout at Pollenca before the drag to the first climb - all inhibitions are lost! 😂 However, you'll sweat most of it out once you really get going. I'm sure you've had a good look at it, but try and plot your timings to key points. The Rapha stand in the village has course maps / elevations / timings stickers for each distance that you can stick to your top tube to help keep track. Anyway, not jealous 😩 But what hurts are the event emails and sign on info and kit collection etc I keep getting knowing I'm out of it 😤 Anyway, enjoy, its a cracking event and the start is just bonkers and truly has to be experienced!
Drinking little and often solved the pee stop issues for me. I had a habit of drinking loads cos I’d forgotten and it seemed to go straight through me. Also I definitely recommend jealous sweets if you want something haribo like but vegan and gluten free. They’re so easy to eat and delicious
If you are drinking a lot, but end up peeing a lot too, it may be because you are losing sodium, magnesium and potassium and not replacing it. Why not add some electrolyte to your water (salt or electrolyte mix). This will help the fluid stay inside your body. This is really important on a hot dry ride, where you see salt rings accumulate on your jersey or shorts. That's a clear sign of high electrolyte loss.
There’s a definite pee vibe to this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🚴♂️🚴🏽♀️ I always found it difficult to eat on the bike even when I was racing it made me feel sick. This was way back in history when everybody had jam sandwiches in their back pockets 🤣

Hope the weather holds out for you for the 312. I’m there next week too and it’s looking a little damp for Mallorca
Thanks so much! Hope so too, it does look a little more drizzly than usual. Hopefully still a beauty!

Yeasss I love the electrolyte tabs. Use them in my normal drinking water bottles throughout the day!
