I definitely would, I was there last week for my 40th and did the cap de formentor road ride. Absolutely amazing so I can only imagine given the terrain I went thru how fun the gravel biking would be
Absolutely love this content! Love the enthusiasm and spirit of adventure that is classic Manon! Great to do a wonderful collaboration with Bernat and Jan! So often, on gravel rides ,I love to forage and wildcraft food. This video shows us that it is the experience, not the finish line, that is the goal. Stopping to take in views, say hello to animals, grab local delicacies, and yes, get off and pushwhen the terrain humbles us, is what it is all about. Thanks to gcn, Manon ,Bernat, and Jan, Mallorca is definitely on my bucket list!
Love that you busted the idea that just being from an area of the world makes you an expert, and including the regional GCN teams for inclusivity and exposure is always a classy move, I always appreciate that!
So much of what makes these types of videos great is the terrain, the landscape. Watching it on a TV with RUclips, that needs 4K to be truly epic. When will GCn start filming in 4k?
Fantastic!! I know Mallorca soooo well and have never ridden. Aways been there for business. It always makes me smile when a Brit (yn y fideo hwn, merch o Gymru) is so surprised with "food off a tree". That is Spain and the Mediterranean way.
Another beautiful gravel area is Axarquía, close to Málaga, Spain. Looks like Majorca landscape (we're still in Spain) but the weather is just fantastic. Give a try!
Great video, beautiful views, gravel not for me but such a lovely chance to see another part of the world I've never been, thanks GCN for the fun and the sight seeing
@Jesskha Hi, sounds good! I think it’s about finding what works for you and challenging yourself while enjoying it too. It’s easy to compare to others (especially with so many awesome RUclips vids!) and think you’re not doing enough. I have cycles on and off for 20 years depending on work and family and where I lived, but wouldn’t call my self a cyclist, I just like to cycle. Used to mountain bike because I never liked riding on roads. But they are a bit slow. Now a gravel bike is the perfect fit. I ride to work each day and do a mid week ride of about 30k then a day out ride on a Sunday when I can 👍
Great video Manon and The GCN team. I actually saw you guys when you were out on your ride. I did shout Hi 👋 as I passed you at junction near Sant Joan👍☺️
That gravel looks wicked fun but I would definitely want some 45+ width tires to keep it compliant on some of the chunkier sections! Some of those almost single track sections look like a blast
Sometimes for very rough gravel, you are better off with a mountain bike or flat handle bars for more stability. I have noticed that they looked to be struggling with stability with drop bars.
Wonder if the Mallorca bike rent shops will be stocking them along with the Road & Mountain bikes . Might be some more maintenance involved for them I guess .. Yeah can be Rocky on those Islands . Toss up between a MTB and Gravel.. Whatever rocks your boat I guess..
soooo many private properties spoil the fun a bit…. but I managed to find very cool gravel routes with Komoot this year. Also the via Verd is a great option. Almost impossible to rent a gravel in Mallorca so suggest to bring your own (I did)
Great vid and kudos to the hotels, b&bs and VRBOs that are cycling friendly. Stayed at one last year. They did your laundry in cold water and brought your damp clothes to our rooms which all had drying racks. You could tell it was run by actual cyclists.

This looks a lot like gravel in southern California. Variety, scenery, we do however have a lot more trail users around. Generally everyone is very nice though.
