    That's the fun of building a car. Do what you can as you can..... at least it doesn't have to be ready for your commute on Monday morning..lols. These old cars need everything and everything takes time. Who doesn't get that part of building a car? AZ differentials, I use them myself and I"m in New Mexico.

    I always loved to replace harnesses. The bright lights and assurance that it's fresh with no splices is the way to go.
    Expensive as all get out though. The benefits outweigh the costs to me.
    Being out of parts is the worst part of a build.
    Thank you for the hard work to get these videos uploaded.

    Looking Good Steve! I think your making great progress. Building cars like this takes time. We are on year 3 on our 1964 Nova and hoping it will be done this spring

      @@ricksoldcargarage thanks Rick!! I’ve done a 64 SS build. Down to bare metal. 6.0L LS swap. Vintage air conditioning. Crazy stereo system. I want to say it took me about a year and a half. I might be doing a transmission on that car soon so I’ll get to show it on here. I hope. But yes. To do a full build takes a lot of hours. Most people have no idea. My last couple builds. I haven’t done paint. So I haven’t disassembled the cars completely. It kinda feels like cheating. lol. But definitely doesn’t take as long. lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

    Love these builds. Thanks. Any luck with rear window trim for a 64 no post?

      @tackettshoh  6 месяцев назад

      @@davidbrown-55 I believe I probably do have it. I did a 64 SS for my buddy. He bought basically brand new everything when I did it. I have a large box of trim from that car out in the shed. I’m not sure the condition and it’s all mixed so I’d have to lay it out on his car next time he comes over. To make sure.

    With all that what looks like a thin layer if mud on the trunk and cab area how long was that thing on the bottom of a lake? Is that why that wiring got wet?🤔🤷

    You cant go racin without posi, Lol. Tack, I had a 65 el camino 350 4 speed during the 70's-80's , i went thru 4 ten bolt rearends, i got a 12 bolt and my problems went away. I didnt have luck with the 1965 ten bolt rear, Tack, i was only making app 350-375hp and couldnt get a 10 bolt to live. How do you make a early 10 bolt live? I'm pulling for you getting the "deuce" drag-ready.

      @tackettshoh  6 месяцев назад

      @@michaelmaher4328 I’ve never had a problem with them. My blue wagon runs 11.40’s and drives on the street. My buddy runs 9’s in his nova. I don’t know. I think the size of the tires have a lot to do with it. If it’s got too much slop in the bearings and pinion and ring gear clearance. 🤷‍♂️
      Do you watch Vice grip garage? His liberty Chevelle. Runs 9’s and does the burn out competitions. With a bone stock 10 bolt….🤷‍♂️

      I never had one rebuilt, when one would break, I’d just get another one out of the salvage yard, I broke spider gears mostly and never had a posi 10 bolt, they were hard to come by, so I never knew if they were strong, plus I was 16-26 years old and went thru as many clutches and z bar mechanical linkages as rearends, man I miss those days, gas was 39 cents a gallon and we had 101 octane.
