It's the little things that define the quality of a build. When something as obvious of the simple failed adjustment of a back up light switch because the project was rushed to complete... One tends to wonder, What not so obvious details were missed?
@@MotorTrendWatch Ever get a chance to run it down the track or at least on the rollers? Thats a Rallye Nova Im betting wtih that top kinda cool How does one keep the from leaking never seen one up close
Cool! We just got a new Chevy 2500 with the l8t, works great as our race trailer tow vehicle. Would love to build a full-size Chevy with this engine, maybe we can bring back out 67 tempest with the new 400!
I was wondering the same thing. Mines on a microswitch for reverse on my TCI shifter in my 72 nova. Never had them "hang" on though while driving though.
Wonder what the total cost of this came out to? I have a 69 chevy C10 that I’d love to drop the L8T in, but after seeing all of this, it seems almost impossible for the normal blue collar guy. I have a 2020 AT4 2500 with the L8T.
This is a nice build, but why would anyone use the OLD 4 speed auto?! The gear ratios suck bad, especially when used with the cam profile in the 6.6 engine. Also, I wonder why the coil covers were left off.
The video was made intolerable by the incessant duralast brake ads, coupled with the fact that duralast products fail like clockwork soon as warranty ends! I will never purchase nore recommend any of their products.
How do you think the build turned out?
I like it!!!
The clickbait title didn’t turn out well…. There was no TESTING. TF
Looks good, just need to adjust the linkage so the backup lights aren't on in anything but reverse.
Only way it could be better is with a 632! Lol.

kory holmes always doing a great job !
Kory is made for TV, get him on more often.
Badass build! Holmes Fabrication is awesome!
Love the color combo!!
I agree!
Thanks!

I'm so looking forward to seeing your 3rd Gen Camaro build.
I have a Buick SunCoupe that has that same top. It always gets a lot of attention.
GREAT BUILD JOHN!!! GREAT DAILY DRIVER!!! GREAT MODERN TECHNOLOGY IN AN OLDER CAR. THAT IS WHAT HOT RODDING IS ALL ABOUT. GREAT VIDEO AS WELL.
So very true John!!

Beautiful, I love nova
Very cool, GREAT vid!!!!!!! 👍👍
Can't wait to finish my 69 nova now ugggh
Awesome build!
So no dyno ?? No performance opinions besides “It’s great” after all your work? Dang guys
Anyone else notice the roached subframe bushings 😮
I really dig it
Why are the reverse lights constantly on?
bolt on guys cant diagnose
I was wondering the same thing. Mines on a microswitch for reverse on my TCI shifter in my 72 nova. Never had them "hang" on though while driving though.
You can adjust the micro switch so they don’t stay on. Had that same issue on a Nova with a B&M shifter.
Interesting choice for transmission. Great build over all though
tell me more about that hydraulic sheet metal punch. I've never seen a portable unit like that.
This gets me thinking, how we are going to rebuild electric cars in the future
Probably be forced to give them up and recycle.
Driving my gas powered pig til they put me in teh ground.
The car needs sub frame connectors, and reverse lights were stuck on. N
Today is Korys bday!!!
Good luck cherolet nova 👍
4L60e? Nice knowing ya boys lol
Very nice build! Be careful of those plug leads, they will most definitely melt over time without heat insulation.
Good advice!
@@MotorTrendWatch Are those rotors any larger than stock? How many pistons on the calipers
Did you have to do any modifications to the motor mounts like relocate or create customs motor mounts or did the motor fit into the stock location?
Have to use aftermarket adapters
I didn’t see anything about the fuel system or tank info?
If that was my Nova I'd go with dog dish hubcaps and steel wheels.

Need to swap out the emblems for some 400 engine designations.
i have one... there is no way that harness all fit through that little hole....

I never liked the ratios on these or 700rs. TOo big of an rpm drop into 2nd and od.
In fact I never used OD unless I was on the fwy
I want an l8t for my 3rd gen
I expected to see tire smoke.
Why are your back up lights on?
Yeah I'm a Ford Guy
ARE LT ENGINES IN THE JUNKYARDS ?
Yes
I have a 25k L8t and 6l90 sitting in my garage at this moment.
those shocks are not set right. Short stiff bounces like the springs are too much or not enough damp.
Or the 327 emblem
✌🤙
Cool car etc etc but that wheels doesn´t match the car ... too big or something is wrong,

The rims are way too big
LS is played out. LT is best for modern hotrod
Show great, car great, Host not so much. it makes me want to unsubscribe. re cast plz for the love of god
Where did this come from? Looked on the app & it said nothing about this build. What gives?
