If you could do a video on arm/forearm positioning and shoulder positioning, that would be awesome
man I love the way you think and you explain. it's so me :P
Aggressive Claus spits truth 😅
I have always done 3 fingers which has been doing well for me. Was an added bonus when I discovered James Hetfield holds it the same way. However I do a lot of downstroke picking. 8th's up to around 200 bpm, but most 160-180. over 200 I can for short bursts, but longer runs I tend to switch to alternate. Though I do tend to then also be doing 16th's
Yet another thing on this instrument that takes time to develop. Like many others, when I was a teenager, I thought I had to use my elbow to pick fast, lol
yup - I *never* understood the whole pick grip coming out of the side of the finger... maybe for strumming etc. - but trying to pick with it, at least for me, feels super awkward vs. more of a "pinch" btwn the thumb and pointer finger...
By the end of this video.. I still haven't seen how to hold a pick
Please demonstrate this in slow motion, even exaggerated slow motion. I’ve tried rotating my wrist and any fine control is impossible.
Thought only germans say underarm (Unterarm)
@@cillianmolloy431 Always heard forearm
Wish I could use a pick, moves around too much. Resorted to a quarter.
Get Dunlop Flow picks. You won’t regret it
@@ewljr Thanks!
try some different picks
@@ZachiswakYT Actually I like the quarter since I've used it so long. Thanks.
