I found the overlord debate very fascinating and quite relatable! I don’t agree with all the points but it was one of the best debates in a long time. Together with an discussion between elites.
I was just thinking about how that Dark Archon _could've_ created a bigger force than even the Derpfestor from the previous season, since Brood War distinguished Terran supply from Zerg "control" and Protoss "psi", so a single player could theoretically have 200 of EACH. Of course, you can still only control them a dozen at a time, and they block one another's movement as shown, so....
I used to do this whenever I play single player campaigns (especially fanmade ones) where they just dont disable the mind control skill. So instead of actually using brain cells, I simply mind control an enemy drone/scv and max out the unit cap of each race. Edit: I suck at multiplayer PvPs myself so to complement for the limited control of units, I just spam BCs or mechs with terran, or ultras with zerg
That "Ministry of Silly Walks" sign makes both John Cleese and all Dragoons very proud. Stellar job on the whole season. It was a beautiful trip down memory lane. "Now go away or i shall taunt you a second time!"
I was like 10 years old when my brother helped me with my homework before going to college, so I could use the computer and play some Starcraft Broodwar. Beautiful days. This compilation bring me so many good memories.
So the overlord missed a mine because it was just outside the detection range? What's the joke there? Is the detection range smaller than its normal vision? Smaller than it looked on screen? Did it vary from unit to unit?
@@achtsekundenfurz7876 The mine is perfectly detected and there’s no vision problems. The joke is that the hydralisk was supposed to destroy the mine while it walked onto it and get itself killed. It’s kind true that mine in sc:bw is harder to kill than it sounds like and should be. The mines created by vulture upgrade are fairly small and move quite fast.
@@adamieccezary a few units made it in SC2. but there's also a mod to play the SC1 style but you can control all units. and nicer that they give some units there own VS damage in the mod.
Man, one thing I'll always feel is so off about Starcraft 2 compared to 1 is the sound of marines' gauss rifles. They sounded so much more awesome, in my opinion, in Starcraft 1
I feel the same but whit Zelaots. In SC/BW i really felt in my ears how much dmg they doing, meanwhile in sc2 its barely noticable. Similar deal whit Dark Templars too.

One thing that’s missing from this season is how absolutely broken brood war psy storm is. Like four or five storms to bring down a capital ship. It was absolutely unreasonable.
@@olegoleg258 Aside from dumb animations their pathfinding is hilariously bad. You can command a squad of Dragoons across a field and like 4/12 will walk in the opposite direction. Forget trying to micro them if you have zealots in the pack.

Lol, all the small nuances of the units like the goliath and dragoon's horrible pathing when there's an obstruction and the scout's weak air to ground attack, lol...truly amazing.
Part of me really wishes we got Vulture bikes back in SC2 multiplayer, and not Hellions. Even if they had to make spider mines cost minerals, I think it would have been a better addition, and given more flavor and flexibility to Terran early game.

I'm replaying all the Starcraft games, I actually never played broodwar before now...going through these, with all the path finding issues etc. This is so accrucate but alleviates so much of the frustration I'm having. I just want to play Starcraft II...I am just forcing mysefl through the story.
