    In hot weather the impluvium functioned as a form of evaporative cooling (an air conditioner), too. It also filtered water to a cistern below, which provided cool water to the household.

    Random fact:
    Jesus Christ was the most influential man in Rome and all of history! These are what the people said about his disciples during that time: "These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;"
    Why did the turn the world upside down? They told humans how they can be in a right relationship with God!
    "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

    Nothing has changed in 2000 years. The rich had extravagant life while the poor and slaves worked their butts off. In year 4000, nothing will change. Income inequality will be worse and the poor and disadvantaged in the world will continue to suffer. Peace.

    The "a" is long - example Apple, and as opposed to short, as in "at"
    The entire piece is rushed - pace is a variable of Production, as it is in music.
    It is a distraction to the audio of this video to hear the word mispronounced throughout the entirety of the clip, and so many times.
    "A Decor and Designer's comment"
    (Please edit this piece)

    • @jurassicpork
      @jurassicpork 5 лет назад +1

      A as in Apple is still a short A. The A in Atrium is an example of a long A. Your inability to distinguish them is a distraction.

    How about showing Ancient Roman Homes of the Poor?? It's always the rich and elite that get the stories. There were lot's of poor people struggling each day to survive too. Let's be fair here!!!!!

    • @ozgur_ozgur

      Look at the films, soap operas on tv and paparazzi programs, most of the people are always curious about rich peoples life

    • @blackkeyboard101
      @blackkeyboard101 6 лет назад +5

      If you could have a tour of a mansion showcasing the best examples of architecture, building practices, artwork, possessions and technologies money could buy or a tour of a poor persons one bedroom flat with a mattress on the floor, barely any detail or possessions which would everyone choose? ..Nobody is saying poor people don't matter just because the videos aren't about them. Grow up and quit virtue signalling.

    • @shastasilverchairsg

      They lived in shoddily built apartment blocks called insula. Basically unscrupulous property owners would cramp as many people and families as possible into their space to maximize profits. You can watch HBO rome for a historically authentic idea of what it was like, particularly the scenes in Centurion Vorenus's home (though he was a relatively rich commoner).
