If Dire does not change anything, once he leaves the End, his paradox machine will not turn back on once he runs low on iron, probably several episodes from now.
pretty funny since if you remember he built the paradox machine originally on the chunk boundary to try and remind himself not to build outside the border when he eventually automates it.
A tip I've started using in my world for making multiblock machines: 1. create a pattern provider output to a chest in your worl next to your pattern terminal 2. program a pattern recipe of some non-buildable block (I use a flower that I have on hand) where the ingredients are the set of blocks for your multiblock 3. put that pattern in the provider next to the chest 4. request one to see what materials are required 5. add more crafting patterns as you wish to break down materials, or simply provide the missing materials when you are able to autocraft the thing you are ready to start making the multiblock, craft it and then once everything is in the chest cancel the craft or put a hopper into the provider and drop whatever was supposed to be crafted back in to complete the craft. For a really big multiblock I swap the chest for a netherite backpack so that I can just pick it up to take with me to the build site. No more need to repeatedly figure out the math for whatever you are making, let AE do the work.
I just used Iron Golem farm blocks from Easy Villagers. Easy and cheap to setup. All you need is to find a village some glass and iron. Get a few and you'll never think about iron. Did it before I got diamond tier gear.
Villager farm big enough for golems to spawn. With tinkers you can add a smeltery to the botton that drops mobs into and they turn into iron and emeralds
Dire, the laser nodes aren't in the chunk, so they aren't chunkloaded. Maybe smart too add another redstone signal that turns off the paradox machine when you have run out of time crystals.
It was cool to see this implementation after you mentioning it in a previous episode! I think a dedicated IF ore processing line for iron might be a good idea as well, then you can just export all iron ore to it and set the fermentation step to only run when full. Might speed things up a little! Also if you do do that, remember that passive mobs produce more liquid meat than hostile ones
26:40 Looks like your paradox machine has 8,000,000,000 mB of fluid. You might want to fix that. 33:40 Yep, it's cool. It feels like a very *dire* build. The only thing it's missing is a bit of spaghetti lasering.
The paradox is cool (maybe a little too OP) but why not go all out and add templates to remove the need to place and snapshot the ore every time you want to dupe a different ore (or a separate build for each). Something that could be automated … maybe by naming the templates, placing them in a chest and using LIO to pull the relevant template on redstone signal.
I was thinking the same thing maybe add a slot for the consumable template that when inserted would modify the one Machine cycle to only place the resource specified by the filter
So, from what i can tell, the paradox only spawn when: -The snapshot is restored ^-And that snapshot pushes the paradox gauge over 100. This means a paradox will never spawn if the paradox machine isnt running, and especially only spawns it after a consistent delay (based on the snapshot being restored) after activating the paradox machine. Thus, in my mind, a way simpler method to counter Paradoxes is connect the dropper to the same activation signal as the paradox machine, perhaps with a hardwired activation delay (since it's consistent), such that it's dropped when the snapshot is finalized, when the paradox spawns. (And maybe a gate to not let the paradox machine run if there's no timecrystal to drop). This feels (to me) like a better solution than "just chuck a crystal out occasionally and pick it up after". (also integrated dynamics can totally sense the paradox/the paradox gauge but that's a bit of a nuclear option)
The AE2 Annihilation plane enchant to fortune and silk touch, so if you need easy fortune enchants, that would be an easy one to enchant/extract/repeat.
He should add a block like the energy transmitter that uses time fluid. Then he could accelerate blocks in an area. Basically like it sends the fluid to the block to boost it. Maybe even need to place the wand in an internal slot.
Dire could make blocks of the reactor ingots and paradox machine them. That way he only needs to generate 9 of each and ensure he keeps a stock of 25 in the chest in the end at all time
I feel like it would be easier to expand with multiple ore types if the paradox machine was always on and you controlled a separate breaker for each ore type instead, am i missing something?
I know it's not important and it's just my autism kicking me in the balls but whenever I hear him say magnetite instead of the color based magentite it gets to me. I love dire and have watched him since I was younger so I am familiar with his derps, they never get easier to watch, but they are part of the experience.
It feels lackluster because youre used to Mekanism making hundreds of thousands to millions. Also, a true breeder/waste reactor would likely be completely full of fuel rods with little to no cooling (higher core heat equals faster fuel burn)
I mean, reactors arent meant to generate their waste fast lol...they are meant to run for long periods of time and slowly make it. You should have set up a small reactor 40 eps ago and you'd already have a big backlog just over time. ( i mean, 20/20 hindsight ofc)
Did not look like the laser nodes were in the chunk when you chunk loaded. Might have seen wrong tho. Guessing that might make so it wont work?
If Dire does not change anything, once he leaves the End, his paradox machine will not turn back on once he runs low on iron, probably several episodes from now.
You are right, the nodes are 1 block outside of the loaded chunk

Next episode Dire learns about the Requester block
It would be pretty cool if we could detect the paradox level somehow.
Meanwhile, I'm just sitting next my Geode iron farm and looking very confused.
I just used Iron Golem farm blocks from Easy Villagers. Easy and cheap to setup. All you need is to find a village some glass and iron. Get a few and you'll never think about iron. Did it before I got diamond tier gear.
Meanwhile the veins of deepslate iron SO HUGE ITS DRAINED MY EMC TANK:
I have too much
@@entitledOneand that's exactly why I refuse to use them
is just a fun way to use is mood man chill
geodes are efficient. dire wants to build rube Goldberg machines

"Not great not terrible" if that's how my day goes I'm happy👍
He Is Always doing the reactors very small instead of doing bigger ones in the overworld
"It's just way too overengineered" It's like I don't know you anymore :P

lets see if Dire reads it this time... Magenta... Magentite.

So something like IC2 UU matter disks?
I was thinking the same thing maybe add a slot for the consumable template that when inserted would modify the one Machine cycle to only place the resource specified by the filter
Then use the laser Io for automation with the level emiter
I most definitely had fun watching every episode so far, thanks Dire

32:29 everything is in the loaded chunk except for the laser IO stuff, will be fun to watch tomorrow for the confusion of why it's not working

The paradox machine is limited on which blocks it can dupe. It's mostly useful for ores.
@DreamThorn ah okay. I've not yet been able to play around with it (just got to celestigem in my playthrough)
Hmmm instead of saying 9by9by9 why not 9 cubed?
Because Dire is famous for his 9by9s
Because it's 9x9xnot 9
Honestly I probably would have left the center iron ore out when I imaged it. Leave that space for time crystals and paradoxes.
Couldn't Integrated Dynamics be used to detect when the Paradox machine reaches 100% paradox and use that to trigger the dropping of the time crystal?
I feel like it would be easier to expand with multiple ore types if the paradox machine was always on and you controlled a separate breaker for each ore type instead, am i missing something?

now something to use all the power
The best way to produce waste is a lot of tiny reactors
When are we getting me laser cards?
i wuold have done the same going for anothe reactor was good choise i think u ll need another one to for the final material

Who else is still waiting for refine storage
I tried to hold out. I switched to Occultism storage while I waited but I caved and setup a AE system.
Did occultism in the meantime. Unfortunately the machine operator is causing a crash so 0 autocrafting.
I always fall asleep whenever Laser IO comes up.
First! Happy Turkey Day Eve!
Anyone else wanting a world download or is it just me???
