    I think the Buddistick guy deserves extra points for getting it tuned without smashing it to pieces.

    That was an amazing display if cunning, technique and just raw talent with the buddistick. Good thing the packtenna didn't need any of that to win.

    Nice horse race. Me, I spend more time unpacking the three different antoona kits - yeah, I’m weird - than I do setting them up. The loaded verts (two different MFJ clones & an original California[decades old] Pac12) go up quicker but the EFHW/long wire + Zmatch/AH705 seem to work better. And, no, I’ve never asked Ms Strategy (Cindy the Manageress) to time me ;-)
    . . . Great vid, again, amigo. 73 de W8IJN.

    Mike,
    This is your opportunity (for another video) to show how to pack a PackTenna and a BuddiStick (at home before you leave) for rapid set up. I see both of those guys doing the same things I do with poorly coiled coax, no ground support stake, wrong band, and other errors. It was a fun video but maybe you should have held the beer until after the set up. Ha!😅

  • @9999plato
    @9999plato Год назад

    Actually I'd rather choose a random wire end fed antenna than the EFHW. While you might want a taller mast for a longer wire you can get more bands. That has been my experience. My Chameleon EFHW is weak on 160 gets 80 40 and 20 but nothing below. Its the encomm3 base.
