Pro-tip: 20, 15, and 10m are resonant multiples of 40m so you only need one link for the 17m band. Add a small loading coil near the feed point to bring in 15 and 10m.
    Order of operations:
    1) Cut the 17m element a couple of feet long.
    2) Wrap 10 or so turns of wire onto a .7" cylinder (plastic drip line works well, or other tubing) positioned 5 ft from the feed point.
    3) Tune the 17m element.
    4) Add a link and about 13m more wire, then trim to resonance on 40m. 20m, 15m, and 10m should be good as well. 🤘😁👍

The imperial system is such garbage. I wish we used metric here. But for ham radio antennas, I've pretty much switched exclusively to metric. Just makes more sense.

I lucked out and cut 10 meters of wire and it was perfect. Here's an older video I did on a 20/40 Packtenna ruclips.net/video/kkL3s3_6AWM/видео.html showing the total length.
