@SlimandOdieShow - Thanks for the compliments! In my rustler I use many different batteries, but most often I use a 3S 5000 mah 30C lipo. I have several different brands, but the important part is the the battery ratings.
Thanks! I put a lot of thought into the body design. And I think it came out pretty good, but it's always fun to hear what you guys think of it too. Glad you liked it.
thanks man. the tires are Pro Line Road Rage 40 series. It's wintertime here right now so I won't have a good chance to test them for a few months, but they seem to grip the road very well even in cold weather.
@mikesab221 - Thank you! There are still many kits available, but you have to hunt for them a bit more now. lol. Most people just want a ready to run toy they can use for a couple weeks and then ignore on a shelf. Traxxas does a pretty good job of having every single part for every model available. And RPM makes excellent aftermarket parts for a number of top brand rc models.
lol. Thanks man! Especially for the 10/5 stars! As you know I have been working on this project for a while, so it's nice to finally get it out in the spotlight.
Thanks for the stars man! My HV Pro had many hours on it. Finally the motor shaft broke on a particularly hard exceleration. I could have gotten a new motor (the ESC is fine) but I've been wanting to try 6S lipo in the ERevo for a while anyway because I had this project in mind, so it was a good excuse to upgrade to a mamba. :)
Both are great. The upside of the novak HVPro is that it is sensored, so the motor is silky smooth starting from a dead stop and at low speeds. But it can only go up to 4S lipo. The Mamba Monster is NOT sensored so it sometimes cogs and jerks just a bit at low speeds or when starting. But it CAN do 6S lipo so the EREVO top speed with it is in the 65mph range with a speed pinion. Both of them are great systems and you won't be sorry either way.
the production values of your videos are ECXELLENT! on another note, im glad to see that there are dtill people out there that think of rc as a hobby. i feel as though all the major companys have just shit on rc as a hobby. what happened to the days when you could buy a kit version of every car they made?? it made fixing these things alot more simple too.
Thanks for the 5*s dude! And also for the advice on the slipper clutch. I'll check it out. One thing I didn't point out in this video is that I'm also running the full aluminum frame in this baby from Kershaw Designs that I reviewed a few months back. So pretty much the only thing still stock on this E-REVO is the sticker in the manual that says "changing the stock settings may void your warranty". rofl.
It's actually pin striping for a real car that I glued on to the frame. It's some kind of deep blue/purple mix. I've had it laying around for several years and decided to use it on this project. It just seemed to work for some reason. :)
rofl. Thx man. But don't be jealous. I have been working on and off on this project for over 3 months! There's a lot more work that goes into a good video that some realize. :)
I am quite surprised. really. You are the 1st person I have ever talked to that has said they regretted getting the EREVO. It's one of the best 4x4 trucks on the market today. If you already don't like it, then I don't think there is anything I can do to fix that for you...
I think the A-arms are about $14 per wheel. so there is a little expense, but since they never break again, you are actually saving money by not having to buy a $7 regular pair every time you run.
Yeah, that was with speed gears. I will only use those for straight line racing. For regular racing fun, I will use a lower ratio that gives more bottom end torque.
Yeah.. I agree. I spent a lot of time trying to make it look good while still leaving it see thru. I'm sure you guys will let me know if I suceeded or not. lol.
I've had experience with the mamba monster before. It's as good as advertised. probably the best high current ESC/BL motor combo out there right now. Very nice power. Probably won't get it for the EMaxx, but we'll see. lol.
Nice video, and I see you finally put a system built for a monster in it ;). I love the Mamba monster, and in a E-revo its amazing, though I'm not one for driving mine on the road, I prefer to offroad with mine, and hope to tear up the offroad track when we race this summer. I also got to get some paint so I can paint up my E-revo Baja bug body, and I need to get a new bumper, bumper bracket, and wing , cus I broke em. Oh well good thing for rpm.
no I don't. unless you connected something wrong. I have several KD motor kits and have never had any problems with them working just fine with the EVX2 ESC.
He is alive and doing well. You can see him doing a huge slow motion jump in Mempey's recent "Part 1 RC Bash 2010" video. And also watch him getting crushed by my new 1/5 scale monster truck in my "Rampage Pro Review". Don't worry. he wasn't really crushed. He is running fine. :)
rofl. calm down man, have a zanex. lol. Thanks for all the enthusiasm tho. Yes the Mamba is a great esc/motor combo. I just didn't have a real reason to upgrade until my last setup broke.

Thanks! Yeah the see thru body really helps to show off all the cool stuff that the E-REVO does under the covers. :)
The mini Erevo is a great choice. It's fast, strong, and just plain fun. You will love it if you get one.
@mikesab221 - Thank you! There are still many kits available, but you have to hunt for them a bit more now. lol. Awesome! congrats. Yes, you can get into trouble very quickly with a mamba monster. Good throttle management is a very good thing to learn. lol.
WOW! Best looking E-Revo I've ever seen man, that is SWEET!!!! And, of course, once again, incredible video, editing, etc. THANKS!
lol. thanks for the implied compliment! I just try to make videos that I would like to watch myself. It seems to be working. :)
lol. Thanks man! Especially for the 10/5 stars! As you know I have been working on this project for a while, so it's nice to finally get it out in the spotlight.
One word Dude!
HOLYFRICKINMOLEY!!!
That is wicked awesome. I love the opening! Very well done as always man! 10/5 stars!!!!
Thanks for the stars man! My HV Pro had many hours on it. Finally the motor shaft broke on a particularly hard exceleration. Thanks man! great compliment! glad you liked it.
Thanks. I live in Indiana, so I'm not out your way too often, but if I am I'll let you know. :)
Thanks! either would work fine. I would probably go with the VXL since it's already made for it, but you would be fine either way.
Both are great. The upside of the novak HVPro is that it is sensored, so the motor is silky smooth starting from a dead stop and at low speeds. But it can only go up to 4S lipo. lol. Thanks for the compliments man! And I didn't know Jamie was Portuguese... See, I learned something today. :) GO COLTS!!!!!

Thanks man! appreciate the compliment!
Thanks for noticing! lol. A lot of people take all the editing work for granted. Sometimes it's harder than the r/c build. lol. Appreciate the props!
Thanks man. I wanted something a bit different this time to set it apart from the 5 million other E-REVOs out there. :)
Thanks for the 5*s dude! And also for the advice on the slipper clutch. I'll check it out. One thing I didn't point out in this video is that I'm also running the full aluminum frame in this baby from Kershaw Designs that I reviewed a few months back. Thanks for the 5*s! I'm running 6S lipo (2 X 3S lipo 5200 mah 30C). They definitely give it a kick in the ***. lol.
i must say badass looking e -revo that x -ray body is a awesome design keep up the good work peace out.
Lol. Thanks dude. Glad you liked it.

i have not seen a rc car ever that looks that cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW
What a nice compliment! Thanks man!
Thanks for the 5*s dude!
Thank you! I had fun with this one. :))
yet another badass vid brought to us by jetlag. awsome truck and editing, too cool
I am quite surprised. really. You are the 1st person I have ever talked to that has said they regretted getting the EREVO. It's one of the best 4x4 trucks on the market today. If you already don't like it, then I don't think there is anything I can do to fix that for you...

that is the coolest looking revo ive ever seen period
great job!!!! 5 stars
Great work dude. love how you can see the shocks. 5 stars.
Thanks for the 5*'s man!
Thanks for the 10/5 man! I actually may change the rims... I have some solid black ones ordered from Pro-line. We'll see how they look. :)
Thank you!
It's a good idea if you are going to get the mamba. Because the huge torque can twist the smaller hexes up bad. :)
Very Nice Jet, always busting out the tight rides as usual. 5/5
Very very nice I really like the body on it Good news the wife has agreed to let me get a mini E-revo vxl I cant wait.
Nice truck, but Fantastic video editing!, Great job man. Nice and fresh.
lol. thanks dude! I'm not too worried about how many subscribers I have. If I make good enough videos they'll keep coming. :))
Thank you! :)
Yeah, that was with speed gears. I will only use those for straight line racing. For regular racing fun, I will use a lower ratio that gives more bottom end torque.
They are traxxas wheels. They are 17mm wheels so if you have an old T-MAXX you would have to get the 17mm hex converters for them.
Thanks man! This was a fun project.
Awesome! you will love it!
Thanks man. I try. lol. This one was a lot of fun. Thx for the 5/5!
Yeah.. I agree. I spent a lot of time trying to make it look good while still leaving it see thru. I'm sure you guys will let me know if I suceeded or not. lol.
sweet looking setup dude! and the intro is nice!
wow the paintjob is awesome! genius!
Interesting paint job, but your e-revo is looking great again dude.
Thanks

Thanks man! appreciate the props! :)
Thanks man that's the effect I was going for. :)
that looks sweet! 10/5 once again, i'm not too crazy about the rims..i like the ones that it came with more, the black chrome.
Not sure... I need to do one. I haven't run him in a while.
good for you
Thanks dude
E Revo= The most versitile RC car ever created. Hands down.
Yes. I used Squirrelod's method to waterproof the Mamba Monster ESC.
I've had experience with the mamba monster before. It's as good as advertised. probably the best high current ESC/BL motor combo out there right now. Very nice power. Probably won't get it for the EMaxx, but we'll see. lol.
They are almost identical for power up to 4S lipo. However the Mamba can do 6S lipo and the HV Pro can't so the Mamba comes out ahead there.
Nice video, and I see you finally put a system built for a monster in it ;). I love the Mamba monster, and in a E-revo its amazing, though I'm not one for driving mine on the road, I prefer to offroad with mine, and hope to tear up the offroad track when we race this summer. Batteries - 2 X 3S 11.1v 5200 mah lipos
ESC - Mamba Monster
Motor - Neu/Castle 2200kV
top speed with speed gearing - 67mph
Normal gearing - 55 - 60 mph
thanks for the 5/5 dude!
Thanks for the 5/5!
You know it!
Thanks for the 5 stars dude! I'll do my best to keep the quality up. :))
I made that TX cam, should have a video up by tonight.
Symphany of destruction from megedeth. :)
no I don't. unless you connected something wrong. I have several KD motor kits and have never had any problems with them working just fine with the EVX2 ESC.
I'm a bit spoiled by your vid's.I forget you just do them for fun. There so well done you would think your gettin paid.Nice thanks for sharing them
thats one brushless badass
Holy crap. That looks sick.
you are quite the impressor
thx!
lol. thanks man!
Dude, holy shit lol. That is just amazing! Good job! 5*s!
sweet!
get the metal CVD kit. number 1 fix. Then upgrade the shocks to metal body. Then get RPM A arms. That's pretty much it. :)

great !!
lol. thanks for the 5*s!
It's good. specs look great, but I chose the mamba because it is tested and easily available.
Agreed! :)
woooow,, man that looks sweet, what a vid,,
lol. this project took 3 months. I'm not quite ready to start on the mini yet. :)
nice!
