- Aix-en-Provence is one of the oldest cities in the South of France, and is an absolute treasure. Sun shines in this city over 300 days on average per year, making it the perfect French getaway! I studied abroad in Aix for a cumulative total of around 6 months, and keep on coming back at every opportunity I get.

Thank you for so thoroughly showing Aix in this video! I studied there in 2009, and have since ached to return. You're lucky to get back so often!
One of my favorite places also. I stayed in marseille and enjoyed my visit there. Especially to perfume houses. Gorgeous city. Vlog beautifully done. ♥️
Those statues on each side of the door are just stunning works of art. Very informative, and great job teaching us history as you go!
I didn't know Aix is such a beautiful city. That overlook to mount Saint Victoire is amazing, can imagine Cezanne made so many paintings here.
I love the way you talk so passionately about aix-en-provence. So inspiring and thanks for the tips. I think I must add this to my bucket list 💗
I just love when a city has such a lovely local market. There is something so special about buying local specialties.I tried Calissons a few years ago when I was in Aix and loved it!Really delicious!Southern France is really beautiful all around.
So informative and interesting. Aix-en-Provence looks so lovely. I want to have a glass of rose right now!
We can never get enough of France. It's time to return. And Aix is in the plans. Well done.
I always love going to local markets and seeing such a wide variety of stuff being sold. Sometimes find the best fresh fruit in these markets.
When I was living there, I would go to the market for lunch and munch on raspberries while strolling. I miss that SO MUCH!
I have been there, as well as Avignon, Nimes and Arles, it is really stunning. Oh yes callissons are so yummy :-) Love seeing how passionate you are about this place. I cannot believe you are alone on the spot where Cézanne painted.
I love your intro!! And how amazing there are fountains all over. Nothing better than shopping like a local at the markets and finding little treasures! So many scenic shots that look like photos in a travel magazine
Oooooooh we are so excited and thankful your channel popped up!!! And was recommended for us.
We have watched dozens of Paris videos "getting ready ... dreaming and planning" to go visit 🇫🇷after my daughter graduates from high school in America 🇺🇸.
We had almost 😢given up the dream because ....the cities pick pockets and strange street approachers were just toooo discouraging to us ... we will be two ladies traveling alone.
Now we have 🤗hope and a 🤗dream ... again.
We can give up the carrousel 🎠 and Eiffel Tower but we sure wanted to experience 🇫🇷 France.
Thank you for taking the time to make this lovely video 🌸
I'm so excited you'll be heading to France, it's such a beautiful country! It's true that there are pickpocketing issues in Paris, but to be honest, that's true in most major cities- nothing to prevent you from going! Paris is a beautiful city as well, you can even go to Paris and Aix in the same trip- it's easy to get between them by train.
In case you'd like help planning your trip, please let me know! studyhardtravelsmart.com/travel-consulting/
Years ago when I travel to Aix-en-Province I remember driving through a small town that smelled like you were in a perfume bottle. The flowers were so amazing (and they were a producer of flowers for perfumes).
Love the overview of Aix-en-Provence! I have never heard of it, but definitely will check it out the next time we visit France. It looks like the perfect place to relax.
Southern France is so charming! Love it!
I would like to see all the different fountains they have. It looks really pretty. 300 days of shine is right up my alley as long as it isn't disgustingly hot.
Great video about Aix-en-Provence, I've been to the surrounding areas but not there yet. Looks like I'll have to make a visit there next time. So cool that place was empty on the mountain, I always like to avoid the tourist crowds. Nice work!
You'll definitely have to stop by! A hike up the mountain in autumn or spring is an excellent way to avoid crowds and get out of the city- just a little more energy required ;)
Not big on Rose, but definitely would add this to my list for when I road trip through France. Seems like a town that would be very calming and chill to bet at for a few days.
1st time for me to hear about flavored vinegar. Here in the Philippines, vinegar is part of almost every meal. We like dipping all sorts of food in vinegar, now I'm very curious about the flavored ones. I've always liked how to speak infront of the camera. very clear and professional
A city of a hundred fountains, how interesting, I didn't know that. I love farmers markets, especially overseas because when I travel the thing I always crave the most is fresh fruits and veggies - which unless you seek these things out its hard to find in the city center. The calezone looks good, but I would go for the Lavender.
Such a great video and an interesting introduction to this city
Never heard of this town before. I wish I had studied abroad too! i like all the fountains! i love markets like this! never heard of kelison or however you spell it, but it looks yummy. my wife would love the wine. i also like the info on the artist! the grounds there seem very nice place to relax!
We love the South of France, but have never been here before! Kind of want to go just to photograph all of different the fountains!
Love that mountain overlook area, especially with all of the Italian-looking trees in the foreground, beautiful!
Beautiful!! I was there last month and i love the vibes!
The markets were beautiful, weird I know... But all the lovely goods, sweets, veggis and fruit just make it up to be beautiful. So glad that you added in the view of the mountain, it was all beautiful! :)
Not weird AT ALL. There's a reason that the markets were first, they're definitely my favorite part of Provence :)
Love Aix - en Provence !was there lovely market. My friends live in Orange. Beautiful nature. Most of all the architecture. 👀
This is cool seeing local life that's not about Paris. Makes me want to visit so much!
the market looks so lovely! I'd love to taste their rosè wine :) it's so cool that you can see the reproductions of the works of Cezanne enjoying the same beautiful view that he used to contemplate! Aix-en-Provence seems really nice! amazing video :)
Great video! I absolutely fell in love with Provence when I was there! The lavender was by far the most memorable. This video provided so much interesting information about the specific region. I love how you aligned the history with the culture. The markets, the attitude, the vibe. So cool! Love the view point as well, my favorite places are the least touristy! I can't wait to go back and find that spot!
Chasing Everywhere oh wow ...you are s great encourager!!! We agree w each word you typed. 🤗🌟✨🌟✨🌟
I need to go to Aix-en-Provence! Great video. I want to visit the market, Cezanne studios and just walk around. It really does looke so peaceful and serene!
Fruit flavoured vinegar! That's interesting:) love lavender! Local markets are always a delight! Great scope for people watching! :) the painter's life and story is inspiring. Well narrated and so informative!
I've never been to France, and if I ever make my way there, I'll definitely visit this place. All thanks to your video! :)
What a lovely place to study abroad! The south of France is so stunning I spent a couple of months there earlier in the summer! :D
The view from the view point is absolutely stunning! No wonder it was Cezanne's favorite subject to paint. You're super lucky to have studied there!!! I did an abroad program too but I was over in Lyon. Such a pity I didn't get to visit although I guess that's more reason for me to return to France hahaa.
lots of great history info. Beautiful scenery and architecture. The market items look delicious..
Trés bien. Salut
It really does look like a perfect French gateway! Just to sit in the cafe and chill :)
ı wanna live in here. soooo relaxing place and ım fallin love with here
Been living there fo r22 years and life is just soo good here
Markets, cafes and a relaxing environment what more is there to like? Well I suppose maybe all of the french food and wine! By the way love the intro :) Yas
I ve watched A Good Year 100 times and dream about going there.
I love that film!!
It's an excellent presentation ! I've been to various places in France but haven't seen Provence properly. I always wanted to visit there for a few days and after watching this video I am not able to wait any longer.. but i heard it's quite difficult to go there?
Hi, do you know Sam Fournier, an expat woman making videos of Aix (where she lives) and Provence ?
We have been so many times to France but never here. It's wonderful but no one ever recommend it before. We have been close, very close but never there, it really seem like a relaxed historical city.
I actually learned a lot from this video, I had no idea about how Cezanne would be inspired there. I can totally see why though. By the way, flavored vinegar?! That's quite interesting. I would love to try that out
I've been to Nice, but never Aix-en-Provence. Hopefully next time!
how much for the rose glass
Did you do an Erasmus there? I was an Erasmus student in Avignon before. Incredible place. Subbed you :)
Kuppytravel I studied abroad there, but not through Erasmus as I wasn’t a European student. Avignon is amazing as well, I visited while I was studying in Aix!
European markets are just the best and these market looks particularly good! Love the way you framed the shots in this video. Standing closer to the camera works well!
What's the housing like in Aix-en Provence?
There are loads of Airbnb apartments and hotels in the city center, so lots of options! I don't know as much about long-term housing, as it's been a while since I've lived there :)
Very expensive
Calissons is a pastries specialty with almonds and orange.... Rosé is wine and certainly not lemonade.
I don't want to be going against the grain here but I would be interested in knowing what the Muslim situation is in that area
Now, why can't Detroit look like this?
Nice, next time bring to the center what you are talking about instead of yourself. That would be interesting!
I never looked it, if people seem Rowan's to show a beautiful place, but you see too much of their faces in front of the camera instead what they talk about!
I never like it ....
