Reddit led me to this blog post from 2012 that says the following: "This is SATELLITE LOVERS' first album, "MUSIC." This pop group was formed by six people: vocalist and keyboardist Ikeuchi Mika, guitarists Suzuki Hiroyuki and NAKANO YUTAKA, bassist YASUSHI KASHIWAKURA, drummer TSUKASA OGATA, and turntable player SHINICHIRO OGATA. Ikeuchi is the main composer and lyricist, and this is a cool, urban Shibuya-kei pop album. (The texture is somewhere between early ICE and Love Tambourines.) The groove of the sound is what makes this album so appealing, but the album was produced by music selector Toru Hashimoto (not Hashimoto) , and the rare groove and free soul feel that Hashimoto is oriented towards runs through the entire album, making it a work that allows you to enjoy a groovy sound image with a strong Western feel . This CD was released by WAVE (the heart of Shibuya-kei culture) during the Seibu Group era , so it's still an album I find myself wanting to listen to at random times, but after their major debut with Sony in 1995, they shifted their sound towards hip-hop, and after releasing an album in 1996, they stopped releasing new material, which is a sad state of affairs. They may have been an unlucky artist in that they couldn't ride the wave of the times even after changing direction, but I think this first album should be engraved in Shibuya-kei history."
I was 8. The only music i could hear at that time came from MTV. Nirvana, Green Day, Oasis kicking it in 1994. It was impossible for me to reach this. And even then in the majority of places having a satellite dish picking up the MTV signal was very rare, so imagine how far we were to know about these satellite lovers.
It finally resurfacing.. Been searching about this band for a couple of months now and out of a sudden people start uploading the album out of nowhere, I feel blessed
I listened to a song by this group a few days ago with a friend of mine named Jhostin, and today, for no specific reason, we have become obsessed with finding the songs or at least the lyrics. JUST TODAY, and you upload the songs. Thank you so much, it has been perfect timing.
@@fabian3946 I came across their music on a playlist on spotify, but at least in the United States where I'm from, it's not available to stream :/ maybe if you used a vpn and changed your location to Japan you'd be able to listen to their music
Thank you for uploading this beautiful work and amazing album, I don't remember the last time I listened it far away in the 90's, but that's irrelevant, now I'm happy to be able to do it again. Regards from B.C.S., México.

Artists in all corners of the world, including America, were making great "intricate" and "complex" music in 1994. - especially when you get into lesser known artists.
Well, America was into grunge & gangsta rap at the time, both of which are relatively simple in comparison to this. This music sounds more like standard 70’s American adult contemporary fare.

This sounds way more complex and very intricate compared to the American Artists of that time. It’s very artistic and beautiful

All the way from Ghana❤

This music reminds me if what Paul Weller was doing with Style Council in the mid-late 80s.
