There aren't many fragrance houses where i love all offerings,,, but I absolutely love everything that varvatos has put out, and. And artisan pure is no exception....... I do wish some of the others had better performance, such as vintage, which other then pure, is my favorite.....
This comes pretty close to being a niche quality fragrance. One of the best almost - French - high quality type citrus colognes around. Pretty impressive.

I think what sets Flores-Roux apart is his liberal use of herbal greens in his fragrances like sage, basil, pine, juniper, palmarosa, cypress and others. This tends to give his freshies a slightly more mature or old school feel, but I love that about Varvatos. It's a modern blast from the past and remains my second favourite designer house, despite its reputation for poor longevity.
It's an original take on citrus. I love the scent and it's really hard to dislike it. Most Varvatos fragrances are good but they are all facing the same problem and that's the performance.
I was surprised how much I liked it when I tested it at my local macys. Very different from the other ones that to me give off a mature/older gentlemen vibe. Good for a casual spring/summer weekend.
I really wanted to buy this one for my dad for his upcoming birthday. He still buys the original vintage that I got him years ago but unfortunately I couldn't find this at discounters yet (also Notino looks like they're still updating their site) so I got Artisan Aqua instead. 3 years late, but I just found a bottle of this at TJ Maxx today for $40. I understand it's discontinued, so I had to pick it up. Can't believe how utterly citrusy this is. Bergamot, lemon, key line, mandarin orange. I wanted something for the ultra hot summer days coming up, and this may just do the trick. Looking forward to putting it through its paces!

The vivacious citrus opening is beautiful but unfortunately this soon morphs into something mundane and generic. I would prefer a linear experience for this one with the great opening never going through the exit.
Hey Stephen i got this a few months ago and omg its a good one from John Varvatos, It kinda reminds me of English Leather but its way cleaner and more bright, Lovely juice man and it last forever, Was in the hospital for a few days and had this in my bag for my stay, Nurses went nuts over it so the ladies will love it, One stopped by Macys on her way home and picked it up for her husband lol, Love the sent great review

Very nice review! First one I have seen on this fragrance! I had a sample for a few days. The scent is real quality but it just didn't last as long as I hoped it would. Each time it would die after 3 hours. I'm a little disappointed about that but nonetheless great scent.

Hey redolessence. Huge fan of you and bfl you guys are my two favorite on RUclips. I live in Mississippi. A small town where fragrance isn't a big deal. There's this small perfume store and high end jewlery place and I went in there once and asked if he had aventus. He said he got it many years ago and never sold because no one wants to pay so much. Saw the batch and it ended up being a 2011 z01 batch. Now I can't afford that in my wildest dreams but just because I can't afford it doesn't mean I shouldn't help someone else who loves it to get it. So if you'd like since I know you love it so much I can buy it and send it to you and if you like it then send the money back to me or if you don't then send the bottle bqack and I'll return it to the guy within his 14 day Grace period. Anyways just let me know brother

I find the top 10/list style videos the best in order to understand a lot of information quickly and I'm trying to get a budget cologne (ideally under $30) that is versatile for school, as well as the evening/date night scenarios. Right now, I'm leaning to Montblanc Invidiuel, Nautica Voyage, and Armaf Club de Nuit. They all seem to top lists and are popular but I can't decide between which one. Do you have a recommendation considering my priorities for a versatile and inoffensive (but commonly complimented) scent?

On my to-try list. I have JV Vintage and the performance is poor. That's what I hear about JV in general. Maybe Artisan Pure is a bit better.
