Thank you for showing us how this works; or should I say,.. almost works lol.
Would the artwork still be unusable even after you edit it so much that it looks completely different? You gave it the shape so it's not all AI to start with or does that not matter?
It was unfortunate that it didn't just recolour the pattern that you chose too.
We aren't replaced yet in my opinion. Thanks again Laura great video as always.

@jodyknight Hi Jody, I think you are right, the amount of AI assistance/content in a work is key to whether or not you can copyright it - like on a spectrum from no AI to all-AI. So, if the AI was used lightly for sketching ideas, and the final work is mostly mine, consistent with my work, where I can show a process, layers, evolution, then it should be copyrightable. All of that is being hashed out as we speak by the legal minds ;-)

hey laura I am self taught. I use procreate on ipad pro but I can not get the lines the same thickness for my coloring pages. So I was told t use AI. Well I am trying to teach myself to do that. I like using the pencil tool best. ( i haven’t mastered the pen tool) I upload a pencil drawn coloring page that i did on paper and I want to just trace it. But no where is there a class to teach me how to do that. AI gives me the option to make all the lines the same thickness. but I can’t draw at perfect circle like in Procreate. So can you help? thanks

You can always use the Elipse tool in Illustrator to draw perfect circles (holding Shift) and you can put your pencil sketch image in an Illustrator file and lock it on a layer, while you trace by hand on a layer above using the Pencil tool. Here are my tutorials about Illustrator on the iPad: ruclips.net/video/RMwsRFzmjVU/видео.html
