James White Ensenada is beautiful. I moved out of the city years ago because I don't care for big cities. Ensenada is growing fast. It has everything from walmart, costco and many great restaurants. Also a beautiful malecon (breakwater) and some fantastic playas. Anyone that likes city life would like Ensenada. A lot of gringos live north of Ensenada in Rosarita, also pretty place, but not as safe in my opinion.
I've been going down to Baja from San Diego for at least 22 years and I've never had a problem. The people are very sweet and friendly, the scenery is great, the beaches are beautiful and wide open, and great surf! I love the wine country near Ensenada, beautiful! Really love Rosarito and points South. TJ is a tourist trap but it has really nice upscale areas if you get out of the tourist track. And of course been all the way down to Cabo too. Love it there, don't believe all the negative comments people make, usually they have not been there themselves and/or have some kind of prejudicial viewpoint. I love Baja!

Hi Michael, I relocated few years ago from Europe. I love the place and have made a lot of friends here. I have since been part of several business ventures and I am actually building a website to help people relocate. I will be delighted to help you with any information.
As a child, Dad was always taking us on his trailer all the way up to San Francisco, CA (Upper Ca) enjoying the China town faire and amazing food, then hitch up the trailer again and head down to Baja California and Deep Mexico, Mazatlan, Queretaro, Etc to eat grilled jumbo garlic lime shrimp, rice, beans, warm homemade flour tortillas, limeade with salt on top.. Fresh off the brasas grilled pollo.. He did this as an easy and memorable way to learn our Mexican heritage all the way from Upper Ca to Baja Ca.. (and you guessed it) sometimes really miss the far Southern part of California and desperately feel like I need to touch “earth” again down there someday.. Your tips make it seem so easy (this time without the trailer) .. I just might go back to visit my Original California roots sometime soon- Thanks...

IF YOU TRAVEL TO MEXICO DO NOT TRAVEL " ALONE"...OR TRAVEL AT YOUR OWN RISK...I LIVED IN CALIFORNIA FOR MANY YEARS....MANY VISITORS TO MEXICO GO MISSING BUT YOU NEVER HEAR ABOUT IT....

So you disagree with her post and start on a personal attack. I agree with her. I have flown into Baja many, many times, while I lived in San Diego we spend a lot of time on the beach from below Ensenada for at least 100 miles. We know more than a few that got robbed, lady got rapped, and her boyfriend got beat up under the threat of a gun. My family and friends stopped going and I have tons of stories about TJ and beyond. Yes, it has its good parts and good people but to ignore the roving bands of jerks down there is doing those that knows nothing, a huge disservice. It seems there is a lot of talk about drinking and smoking weed. What does that tell you about the source?
I want to move to Mexico. My brother lives in Peurto Vallarta but it's a bit noisy there for me and so far to drive. Seems like an overwhelming task. Baja is pretty close to the USA. How far of a drive from the border so you are far enough away from Tijuana where it's safer? I am from Canada and will drive my cats and furniture, car down. Are there safe places a little bit out of town where I can have a garden? What are the prices for a 1 bedroom house, suite etc?
Hi I can tell you there is a lot to do for a young person from Europe. You will certainly love it. I strongly recommend Baja California. Having lived in Paris, Stuttgart , Los Angeles and now Baja. As everywhere in the world you need to have accurate information to take a sound decision. It s all about your expectations. Feel free to contact me for recommendations. Best regards!
Very bias, considering that they are trying to sell real estate. The real truth is that Baja California is growing rapidly, but it is still dangerous, especially for people who stick out.
The local mexican citizens in Baja probably love the American Tourists because they bring money! Since they probably work for very little say $5 a day Mexico's Minimum wage having American tourists around is a good thing for Baja it boost the economy making all most the to the standards that Americans take for granted.
This is Baja Norte, I wish you had included Baja Sur, and not Cabo, but La Paz and others. At least clarified that this is the Rosarita, Ensenada area.
The word BAJA is a geographical reference meaning LOWER. Before the border happened, the territory was divided into UPPER CALIFORNIA and LOWER CALIFORNIA (In Spanish: Alta California, Baja California). Therefore, saying just BAJA, you're simply saying LOWER......lower What? Have you ever heard anyone referring to CAPE COD as simply CAPE?
can you live off of $1800 Canadian in Baja comfortably? Any tips on bringing your own furniture car etc across the border? I don't like basement suite or apartments as I am noise sensitive. are there other more private accommodations that are safe?
@@wertiaaudit5746 I would think so, people also have what's called pilas which are under ground water holdings, made of cement, that you make for you home, sometimes the city water pressure is low, not everywhere, the pila fills with water and there's a pump that will automatically work when the pressure get to low
Since this is produced by Secture and requested by the Baja Image Committee, it's focus is only on Baja California, not sur. But the message focus is on the reality of our area, which is very safe, and should not be included in the travel alerts and media smear job on Mexico. But sur is also helped as well as most of Mexico.
You guys have balls we spanish mex gave the name of California to all those areas and now you are just calling this place baja instead of Baja california.
its U.S. media hype, if they want to believe those lies, its there loss, I'm loving it I live in Tijuana and find overall the same, live in for 44 years
What is wrong with Tijuana? I go there multiple times a week...It is a great city with a lot of great shopping and great places to eat. Are you saying don't go there because you have had a bad experience or because the news says don't go there? I go there and I love it and can say from 1st hand experience...TIJUANA IS GREAT! and yes I am a gringo and I get greeted with open arms from caring and warm Mexican people
Its Mexico. The dollar is 18 pesos per one dollar put it easily feels like 30 per one dollar put on the best beaches in north American's, and health care I like 1c on the dollar.
Minus the ridiculously high cost of living, minus the super corrupt Big Business/Tech Companies, minus the high cost of housing, plus an self-governing autonomous government. With all these it'll make a great 51st state. They gotta "buy" it from Mexico first!
Everytime you say BAJA you're saying LOWER....yeah, lower what? EXACTLY. You're supposed to say it all together, Baja California, meaning Lower California. Can you imagine people calling Cape Cod only cape? WELCOME TO CAPE!
this is so racist! I am a Baja Californian who loves diversity. The color of people's skin, the shape of their eyes, the places where they were raised do not define what a person might be like.
Baja California has always seemed to me like it should be more true to its namesake--meaning just a lower extension of the state of California, but part of the USA
I'm VERY seriously wanting to relocate to the Baja. I'd like to communicate with people living there re cost of living (I'm on fixed income), apartment rents, safety, etc. I'd also like to be relatively close to the states in order to take care of personal business like Social Security, etc. Please contact me I'd luv to learn more...Thank you....Michael

Very bias, considering that they are trying to sell real estate. The real truth is that Baja California is growing rapidly, but it is still dangerous, especially for people who stick out.
not....
No it’s Not. Stop with the USA Fear BS. Turn off your TV.
"They'll endure you"--- ringing endorsement....!
Omg Oprah there 5 times? Ok im in! 😅😅
It's already getting to expensive for use.!
Saludos desde Mexicali is the capital of Baja California
America is a continent & a hemisphere not any one country; Mexico is just as much AMERICA as the U.S of.A.
since 1988, I have hold a deed of license in san Felipe and like to invest in real estate I"M READY!
I’m living in my apartment here in TJ and I’m enjoying it way too much.
Thanks For Sharing!
We hope you enjoy the great Baja Lifestyle 😁
The local mexican citizens in Baja probably love the American Tourists because they bring money! Since they probably work for very little say $5 a day Mexico's Minimum wage having American tourists around is a good thing for Baja it boost the economy making all most the to the standards that Americans take for granted.
no they dont
This is Baja Norte, I wish you had included Baja Sur, and not Cabo, but La Paz and others. At least clarified that this is the Rosarita, Ensenada area.
I was going to go to Baja until I saw this video
There is a place called ajijic in Mexico. There are more whites living there than Mexicans. Just search it on RUclips
And I believe they live on 2 dollars a day just fine
If I had the money, I would go
ypu don't need much
And what's nice in Mexico lots of environmental safety nets, so there will be no pollution of the water, lessons learn in the U.S.
Do you live there ? Are you allowed to have residential water wells
The baja peninsula could have been part of the us, but was not pursued in the mexican us war. Arguably the best part of north America
It's called Baja California, not Baja Peninsula.
Yep beaches on booths sides and the proximity to California the 5th largest economy
its U.S. media hype, if they want to believe those lies, its there loss, I'm loving it I live in Tijuana and find overall the same, live in for 44 years
I want to go.
baja is the best and one day we grow up
I hope it doesn't change and it doesn't get tore down by Americans and Canadians
What is wrong with Tijuana? I go there multiple times a week...It is a great city with a lot of great shopping and great places to eat. Are you saying don't go there because you have had a bad experience or because the news says don't go there? I go there and I love it and can say from 1st hand experience...TIJUANA IS GREAT! and yes I am a gringo and I get greeted with open arms from caring and warm Mexican people
Nice
can any one tell me if there are decent homes in a gated community and price ranges,,,ty
bill willett check out our site baja123.com request an agent and they can help you
Its Mexico. The dollar is 18 pesos per one dollar put it easily feels like 30 per one dollar put on the best beaches in north American's, and health care I like 1c on the dollar.
Baja California should be the 51st State!
You think $2,300 USD per month is a lot? Wow things are worse than I thought there.
can a us citizen buy a house in mexico?
ruclips.net/video/Vvg4kIRh_xk/видео.html
of course amigo Yes .
No
my uncle is a US citizen but he bought a house in vietnam as well
Sure hope you can handle this question...for retirees:::what kind of living are you going to have IF THE U.S. DOLLAR COLLAPSE?
And the donkey show is great!
The only problem is coming back to the us. Sometime we had to wait on the crossing border 4 hours
Looks like a walled off chunk of coast filled with old people from this video.
Vaya!!!! Tenemos aquí de nuevo el fantasma de 1847!!!
Mexicanos al grito de guerra o pasara lo mismo que en texas
Rolls Bautista' llegan de invitados y se quedan con tu casa
this is so racist! I am a Baja Californian who loves diversity. The color of people's skin, the shape of their eyes, the places where they were raised do not define what a person might be like.
Baja California has always seemed to me like it should be more true to its namesake--meaning just a lower extension of the state of California, but part of the USA
BroccoliBeefed no
No; part of Mexico.
