      I see this type of comment a lot and it doesn't make sense to me. If your public servants (I'm a brit) don't have that protection, a few problems could come up.
      Firstly, why would you sith in up for a job where you have to pay extra to work, professional drivers don't pay insurance on work vehichles, the company does. criminals will soon sue the good cops out of the job, every person who doesn't want a ticket will threaten to take their badge, it wouldn't take too many accusations before your insurance is too high for a minimum wage cop, but not a mob backed crooked one

    • @terryarmbruster9719
      @terryarmbruster9719 Год назад

      Lol that would cost way more than paying settlements!!! They wouldn't pay for it out of pocket at all. There's more than ten million government related workers when consider all levels of government. Also what insurance company would take risk. Besides no insurance company pays out if the client is purposefully or neglectfully in the wrong anyways. Lol anyways let's say somehow they get it. They'd need serious coverage in the millions. My personal liability insurance set for five million and I pay $150 plus taxes a month in what's considered low risk. High risk be like $1000 a month plus. Staying with the 150 that's 1.5 that's at least 15 billion dollars a month or 300 billion a year. If high risk premiums be well over a trillion. Money risk assessment says keep on doing it the old way. Last year civil right settlements didn't even reach two billion. Final point is that if was private insured then any copay all one does is declare bankruptcy. Victim then can't collect that portion.

    • @terryarmbruster9719
      @terryarmbruster9719 Год назад +2

      @@roberttregidgo6345 wouldn't be paid for by individual but by govt or business either directly or by compensation. If it's a required part of work employer must pay. Better explanation as to why not is below in my comment. It's simply a money risk thing like when Ford made all those Pintos knowing from start they had a problem. They simply calculated how many deaths likely to occur times the settlement averages for a total far below profits or even cost of shutting down the pinto assembly line and retooling or even merely replacing the gas tank and rear bumper assembly. Anyways highly unlikely any insurance company would take on such a risk. It's not like medical field malpractice since it's extremely rare for a doctor or such to purposefully or criminally be negilgent in their actions whereas cops and some higher civil servants have an ego attitude that is purposeful. Insurance companies don't pay such claims so for most civil suit cases this wouldn't work anyways. I have my actuarial papers and quickly looked at some stats. Lol no way any insurance company take this on without charging the premiums I mention below and those are very low estimates. Have a good day

    Good on the guy for not just rolling over, but the Texas code does say they can ID him while on campus or he has to leave. That code should be changed to disallow this on public campuses.

    The moment he asked for ID...
    The gentleman should have stated the conversation was no longer consensual and asked if he was being detained. If answer were "yes" ... exercise 5th Amendment Right to silence. If answer is "No"...say "Thank you, Have a nice day"
