Like I mentioned on Instagram, this rig gives me goosebumps….i really Really REALLY LIKE IT! “It’s smart knowing that a tomato is a fruit, it wise knowing not to put it in a fruit salad”….truer words were never spoken buddy! Always my best to you two 👍🏼👏🏼🖖🏼🥰
Great video, great filming. I saw the tour video already & it was nice to see this showing how it actually functions in different situations. Those outside lights sure made it easy to see when pulling into that spot at night. Nicely done guys, if I was Storyteller Overland I would be extremely pleased with this video.
Gotta say I love that fresh water supply as I love clean dishes. Though for $450K I'd want the option to lose storage space in lieu of a dishwasher drawer. Gone with the Wynns have a great video on deciding to include a dishwasher in their new boat.
Awesome video in an awesome monster truck camper by an awesome couple of travelers! Good job taking the R66 from Oatman to Kingston. That road is something else!
This is definitely my 'if I win the lottery' vehicle but I feel like with all of that work they put into it, they could have added at least 2-3 more inches to the over-cab bed based on looking at the profile. I can sit up completely in my Winnebago Warrior overcab bed :)
I just can’t help but say I love doing dishes too & hot water is a must. It’s a zen-like experience. My husband cooks & I clean. You said Overland West expo in Flagstone. Is this in addition to the one in Prescott, Az
What a beautiful vehicle!! This was great fun to travel along with you as you provide a great mix of what you experience in the sights and locations around you and the rig you are traveling in. Great job!
I'm almost 39, and I would sell my home in a heartbeat to move into one of these full time. Been trying to get the wife to agree to it for years, the older we get, the closer she is to agreeing. Maybe one day soon it will actually happen. The one and only thing I'd love to see offered in the Hilt is a washer/dryer combo. Would round out a perfect package!
I honestly expected a 20 point turn around. That was impressive. A big rig like that with such a tight turning radius, wow! I haven’t been in Arizona since spring of 2010. It was nice seeing some of that beautiful Sonora Desert. Cheers!
see this is why storyteller got EarthRoamer beat. Just the fact that we can see someone operate it in real settings and explain how it functions on the road is a huge difference. you don't see any EarthRoamer videos out on the trail. And idk why? its weird. but being able to see this storyteller in action definitely makes up my mind to buy this instead. Thanks guys your vids are awesome
At about 1:15 into this video, you mentioned that this vehicle has a crazy turning radius - can you please let us know how the turning radius compares to your current van or the previous truck camper that you had? Also, does the RAM 5500 have a better turning radius compared to the Ford F550? Thanks,
Great video as always! Interesting expensive rig. Hard to believe they don’t have a conventional toilet with a black tank, instead has the smallest cassette toilet made! With 4 people you’d be dumping that every day and with more and more restrictions on where you can’t dump cassettes that would be problematic.
Great tour of the Hilt! Got a good chuckle when you pulled into the same Thalypo gas station I stopped at in April ... I did a double take on the drop in fuel prices.
This looks amazing. Glad you guys got a chance to try it out. Hopefully this won’t be your last time. Keep up the excellent videos. Love your content. Thanks, again. ❤
You definitely need to go back and do the float trip. We did it in 2017, and it was mind blowing. We had a knowledgeable guide who pointed out some amazing Colorado River features, including Native American petroglyphs!
I always enjoy your reviews even though I have no interest in selling my Promaster. I was interested in this one as we’re in South America and Europeans love huge expedition vehicles ( you can buy them used for $100,000 if they don’t want to ship them). I don’t get the pleasure of dealing with the size but you explain these things really well.
I love your content! I get a real world "living in" feel on this rig! I have the sportsmobile van and can only imagine how the size of this wonderful vehicle affects in town challenges to negotiate roadways and parking. Thank you for reviewing this in the "Russo Style"!!
going up that road at the 7:00 minute mark would have been a great time to have a drone! You could pull over somewhere safe, launch the drone and get a feel for what lies ahead! :-)
Hi Joe. Saw you standing by the Hilt at Overland. You were just about to start cooking brats or sausages and I didn't want to bother you by saying hello. Love your content. I'll say hello next time!
So I'm confused..... the main advantage of liquid springs is body control but coming off that campsite it was rocking like crazy. Maybe a wrong setting? Do you remember what seeing it was on?
I think something between your current Storyteller and this rig would be perfect. A real bathroom, designated dining/lounging with a large water tank for dishes and showers.
You may want to ask Storyteller what ever happened to Adventure Trucks? They were smaller, more nimble, and totally suitable for couples overlanding. Plus, they were far less expensive.
The industry is getting closer and closer to a perfect rig…..this is really close. Extended cab! Beautiful rear lounge! Plenty of storage! Hard to beat.
Diesel exhaust is toxic to human health and bad for the planet. Not even close to a perfect rig. A single oil spill, Deepwater Horizon, killed up to 150,000 sea turtles, over 1,000 Gulf dolphins and countless other marine organisisms. The spilled oil has still not all been cleaned up and the total cost will be well over $100 billion.
Well, this is definitely a luxury camping and travel. Are you both becoming ambassadors for the Overlanding outfit? Coming down on the second location after an overnight with the view there was quite a wobble of the truck and the rear cabin maybe it is because of the soft suspension? Good video as usual, cheers.
Oatman is super cool. Loved Oatman. The burrows are very friendly 😊 That road you took out is WILD, I did it in a Chevy Spark and it was tight 😂. Everything is nice for that price 😮ohhhh she’s expensive. Seligman Is great, Angel the barber literally saved R66 in Arizona. I will say that thing is LIT UP at night 💡💡
Love the content as usual. I was in that region for a job interview in 2000 there is an amazing are culture in Jerome and an epic off road and off grid "hippy:" community living around Sedona you may want to explore in the future. We saw if you told the food places we went to if you were local you got a discount, also it is the home of a special McDonald;s that had to conform to local color and construction stuff to make the store comply with local requrirements
Interesting review guys, as always! I wonder why for this price and size you would get a vehicle like this one which is basically an oversized pickup rather than a real truck like an MAN, Mercedes, Saurer,... Fuel mileage at 10mpg isn't much better than a real truck which will come in around 7-8mpg. What's the turning circle of this RAM? Cheers, Chris
Cost and size. They have the Epic which is the big brother to this and it’s built on a Kenworth truck chassis, but it’s around $700k www.storytelleroverland.com/pages/epic
I really can’t wait to see this at Prescott Az. Overland expo next summer. This will be there in 2025 right? Btw, what’s the inside height in the living & shower areas?
So I’m not sure what event takes place in Prescott but Overland Expo takes place in Flagstaff - here’s info on the 2025 show: www.overlandexpo.com/west/guide-to-the-expo-west/ Here’s a full walk through of the hilt and you’ll see the inside height: ruclips.net/video/YOqKGAwRCYk/видео.htmlsi=di1NkLn4oUTvRUUe
Nice farmer's tan, Joe! heh This thing is amazing. It looks like it has tons of space. I could see full timing in this for sure. And you'd have to, at that price tag!
Don’t know where that $450k is? Seems like that would be a show stopping for most folks. One other comment, it seemed scary unstable when you were pulling out of that boondocking spot on your way to Kingman!!
Great video! Love that rig, people saying it’s only a $100k vehicle don’t realize the truck alone is $100k, anyway are those tires speed rates to 68? And can they change them to the Goodyear?
Now a storyteller chanel marketing channel... I would like to see reviews of the $500k the $750k $1m and $1.5m models. Maybe ever do something on the $1b model. I mean, why not ......
Watch the full tour here ruclips.net/video/YOqKGAwRCYk/видео.html
I sense something here. My parents have been together for 53+ years and counting. Places please please always give space and life one another
Like I mentioned on Instagram, this rig gives me goosebumps….i really Really REALLY LIKE IT!

Thought you might like that 😉👍
Joe is so helpful.
Great video, great filming. I saw the tour video already & it was nice to see this showing how it actually functions in different situations. As always thank you so much Bonnie!

You get the 4x and she gets to wash dishes! Sounds like a winner to me.i like it better then the slidein for sure!
Thanks!
You’re very welcome!

They do now
I didn’t realize how big the rv is until you stood next to the truck.
I know I stated I have seen walk around of these off road vehicles but your testing of it was much better.
Thank you!
6:17
It looks like an old western movie set.
Love watching your vides guys, keep going. Cheers from Singapore
Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Our friend who's land that was, was shocked that I didn't have to back out of there.
0:20 - For when McGyver’ing your way out of a tight situation is no longer good enough!
see this is why storyteller got EarthRoamer beat. Pretty cool that Story Teller let you guys use this for a week. It looked a little top heavy when you were leaving that first campsite.
Great tour of the Hilt! Got a good chuckle when you pulled into the same Thalypo gas station I stopped at in April ... I did a double take on the drop in fuel prices.
Greetings and Gute Reise...Sehr schöner RAM Camper mit vielen Fenstern zum raus schauen.

I've watched a number of youtube videos about the hilt but I really enjoyed your style and perspective! Nice job!
I appreciate that!
You mentioned the turning radius. Are those front axles king pins or ball joint? Amazing vehicle.
I love your content! I get a real world "living in" feel on this rig! I have the sportsmobile van and can only imagine how the size of this wonderful vehicle affects in town challenges to negotiate roadways and parking. Thank you for reviewing this in the "Russo Style"!!

Great video, love this set up, Love the Russos. Thanks for having us on this tour.
Thank you Scott!

Ah you should've come over to just say a quick hello! Next time
Hi to you all. Thanks for sharing your experience with the Hilt 👍🇺🇸 Safe Travels.
Thanks for watching!
heard your latest podcast on this vehicle in the video. a Club Wyndham property stay woukd be a next level of comfort
why US is x3 to x5 price on everything? You can get a castle on wheels for 450k in Europe.
So I'm confused..... the main advantage of liquid springs is body control but coming off that campsite it was rocking like crazy. Maybe a wrong setting? Do you remember what seeing it was on?
Absolutely love the video. Great, great choice in music when you were cooking and eating dinner. Very nostalgic
God bless love from Colorado.
Thank you! You too!
Just got passed by you on 65N, now I'm beside you on Grantline rd
I would love to travel all ovver America in that beast,,,DREAMING
I think something between your current Storyteller and this rig would be perfect. A real bathroom, designated dining/lounging with a large water tank for dishes and showers.
That would be cool!
Hey guys, love this video. such a cool truck. Here in the UK we pay £5.60 a gallon. about $7.00
You may want to ask Storyteller what ever happened to Adventure Trucks? They were smaller, more nimble, and totally suitable for couples overlanding. Plus, they were far less expensive.
The industry is getting closer and closer to a perfect rig…..this is really close. Extended cab! Beautiful rear lounge! Plenty of storage! Hard to beat.
Very much agreed
So when do buy buy Kate one? 😂
Diesel exhaust is toxic to human health and bad for the planet. Not even close to a perfect rig. Great vlog you two, Joe I just can't wait for the walkthru after Ms Kait gets her early christmas, and birthday present LOL
Did you have trouble finding parking places in the towns you crossed or grocery stores, etc?
No we didn’t. It will fit in two spots back to back or one along the edge where you back in and let it hang over
Well, this is definitely a luxury camping and travel. Are you both becoming ambassadors for the Overlanding outfit? Coming down on the second location after an overnight with the view there was quite a wobble of the truck and the rear cabin maybe it is because of the soft suspension? Good video as usual, cheers.
That is a beautiful rig. I wonder if the could downsize that to a Fit a Ford Transit like the EKKO
Even downsized, the Transit could never support that kind of weight and the you can’t put more than 31’ tires on the Transit
One of the best deals in this category. A lot of rig for the money.
😂 I love that you are boiling a bratwurst. Bratwurst literally means "Roasted Sausage" in German. 🤣
Brats are boiled and then finished off on the grill.
I will say that thing is LIT UP at night 💡💡
aaa dude from a chefs point of wieuw that tomato story was funny...lol
Did you try the leveling feature using Liquid Spring at a camp site?
This is a prototype and they haven’t added that feature on it yet but the production Hilt’s will have it
feasible Arizona 2nd home for two former Californians. Seems similar to having one of those Super Class C RV's
Very true
All thats missing is a washer / dryer combo and rainhead shower. Microwave/ Convection oven/ Air fryer. Lol
As usual, great video. Fantastic vehicle, though a bit intimidating. Love it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Does the top always sway that nuch?
Wow! What a beauty of a rig!
Fun, relaxing AAANNNND educational! 🙏🏾
Glad you enjoyed it!
We just drove by y’all in payson and immediately looked it up! So cool!
I’m wondering if it was the storyteller crew instead of yall since we were east of flagstaff.
Yeah that would have been the STO crew as we gave it back to them after Flagstaff
Love the content as usual. Thanks! We've been through Jerome a few times now and really enjoy the area.
You went to Page and didn't take a tour of Antelope Canyon? That's a "must see" the next time you're there.
Interesting review guys, as always! I wonder why for this price and size you would get a vehicle like this one which is basically an oversized pickup rather than a real truck like an MAN, Mercedes, Saurer,... Cost and size. They have the Epic which is the big brother to this and it’s built on a Kenworth truck chassis, but it’s around $700k www.storytelleroverland.com/pages/epic
For that price tag I'm shocked Living Vehicle hasn't stepped into this market segment. The living vehicle has an air to water generator now.
I’m digging this rig, just curious if it’s pre-wired for starlink, as this would be a solid off grid option for my mrs and I
Yes it is pre- wired
Beautiful rig ❤
I really can’t wait to see this at Prescott Az. Overland expo next summer. This will be there in 2025 right?
Btw, what’s the inside height in the living & shower areas?
So I’m not sure what event takes place in Prescott but Overland Expo takes place in Flagstaff - here’s info on the 2025 show: www.overlandexpo.com/west/guide-to-the-expo-west/

Somebody's doing good, nice camper. Just wondering if you were in 4 low while off roading. I'm rebuilding an old Palomino slide in pop up.
Well we don’t own the camper, just borrowing it. No I wasn’t in 4lo
Oatman Arizona seems like a town I'd love to settle in
Nice farmer's tan, Joe! heh
This thing is amazing. It looks like it has tons of space. I could see full timing in this for sure. And you'd have to, at that price tag!
Thanks buddy 😉
Where was the Flagstaff campsite you stayed in?
Cool rig and competitive price with Earthroamer.
Don’t know where that $450k is? Seems like that would be a show stopping for most folks. One other comment, it seemed scary unstable when you were pulling out of that boondocking spot on your way to Kingman!!
I enjoy washing dishes and cannot stand dishes piling up in the sink! Does Kait use dishwasher?
Rarely
I’m honestly shocked that you guys haven’t been to Page!!!
Just curious what Fanny pack Kait wears. TIA! Great video! 😊
It’s a Storyteller Fanny - I don’t see it on their website yet though
Do the steps automatically close when you start the engine?
Yes or you can set it to close when the door is closed
If only I could hit the lotto, I’d be driving in style!!!
Great video! Love that rig, people saying it’s only a $100k vehicle don’t realize the truck alone is $100k, anyway are those tires speed rates to 68? And can they change them to the Goodyear?
Exactly. Yes you could put on the Goodyears but from what I’ve heard from others who have used them is that they ride very poorly
That RV is Bad...!! Have a great Memorial Day!!🤗🤗🎉🎉👍👍
You as well!
Impressive rig, with a way too impressive price tag! I wonder what they go for used? 😅
No idea as there are none on the used market yet. May take at least a year or two
Love the Russo's but 450K? I don't know guys!
14:51 😮
nice to travel in such comfort !
I could see this being $300k but would like to see a gas version, lower trim level, a few less high end amenities. I think the price could get there
At dinner your music sounded like a Disney movie.
Wow the perfect Rig does exist.... I just need that perfect bank account lol
It’s an overland rig now over the road rig. 😂😂😂
Came for the truck stayed for the burros.
That's a pretty cool rig.
Beautiful truck I love it
I thought this rig had auto-leveling from Liquid Springs.
The production models do but this prototype didn’t have the updated software for leveling when we got it.
One of your better videos although I miss your mom.
The 1960's worlds fair music is what makes this montage.
I love that music clip
Why didn't you guys take Kenny from Moving Forward Adventures? Sharing is caring. 😂😂😂
I'm surprised the GXV doesn't have built in stabilizing jacks.
Ours was a prototype but on the production version you can level the camper using the hydraulic suspension
Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇲💥🦅 from #BBQRando & #RanchStaff 🌵
Now a storyteller chanel marketing channel... I would like to see reviews of the $500k the $750k $1m and $1.5m models. Maybe ever do something on the $1b model. I mean, why not ......
very cool rig safe travels from Iowa
Thanks, you too!
I would like to see that in a Ford 7.3L Godzilla
