Thank you has terrible graphics and I’ve never thought about buying one even when I briefly lived in a small town with only zumiez, but for some reason I want them to exist in the space. Felt the same way about Almost. I’d also like to see DC survive. My last skate shoe shop I almost bought a pair and they were so fuckin comfortable. It’s really a model to model thing for them as some of their shoes feel like wood on the feet and others like clouds. Too bad consolidated banana shoes didn’t make the impact they wanted cuz yeah these big brands have sucked a lot of money out of the industry. I also think the internet just exposed that 1/3 of the kids skating on the planet were as good as any mid tier pro we’d seen yet. It’s always important to me to separate the industry and skateboarding itself in my mind or I’d just be like fuck skateboarding. If I get what I want out of 2024 Metal Skateboards will blow the fuck up and be the FA of 2024, Alien will catch back up with the current habitat lineup and the sovereign sect will do a hostile takeover of tech gnar. I’ll do my part by buying some metal shit and keep on rocking alien decks as my street setup. Lastly I’d love to see a skate apparel brand cone in with the prowess of Droors or TSA. Damn yo we getting old. No one could have told me I’d be typing about this shit at this age lolz.
On the black wheels tip, has anyone saw the clear Spitfires in the wild yet? Dual duro, outer clear with a graphic just sounds like a recipe for disaster.
I had a friend that would send me random product and I gratefully skated ALL of it! At one point he sent me some clear green Birdhouse wheels. At first I was like ???, but I lived on Maui at the time and skating home in the evening with the sun shining through the wheels was pretty sweet. They were actually fine wheels.
