John Gallagher of Raven would be a better interview than John Gallagher of Dying Fetus.

“In the Sign of Evil” sounds like the band recorded the guitars first, left the studio, and then the drummer came in and recorded the drums on top of the out-of-tempo guitars.
The first few Blind Guardian albums rip, J-Dawg. With how much you love Gates to Purgatory, you would probably dig the first BG album for sure.

Seriously? I remember the Nifelheim guys saying very similar things about Tom years ago.....was not aware Tom was part of the Twitter-rotti tho.

Not even Frost classics like Dethroned Emperor or Return to the Eve?
Definitely agree, I heard a "into the pandemoneum" song before I heard Dismember it was probably the most popular song on the album, and then now going back and comparing their early stuff and Hellhammer's demo etc to Dismember, Autopsy and Autopsy oh and also Autopsy, they just pale in comparison. The good thing about Dawg is he still has faith in objective truth. Most of these new guys won't make bold statements about musical tastes because they don't believe in objective truth, and think that everything is just a matter of subjective taste and upbringing. Wrong! Metallica ruled thrash in the 80s - objective truth. Into the Pandemonium sucks - objective truth.

Early My Dying Bride is incredible unlike that POOOOOSER ass Old Mans Child you like so much.
