Been a fan of JW ever since I was a kid and saw and heard her perform on the Smothers Brothers show. I found this album back in the late 80s and lost it in hurricane Katrina. Glad to listen to it again...
Wonderful ! .. Love Jennifer Warnes, but hadn't heard very much from before her 2 fantastic late 70's albums ( "Jennifer Warnes" and "Shot Through The Heart " ) .. You can hear here that she already had a high quality, expressive voice, and knew how to interpret and deliver a song .. Many great tracks, including her cover of the 1966 Stones' song "I Am Waiting" ( Love how she sings the "oh yeahs" ! ).
I've been looking for "Sunny Day Blue" for decades. I listened in this album in the 80s, and fell in love with SDB and "I Want to Meander in the Meadow." (I even made a teenaged version of the latter with my little Casio PT-80 keyboard and a reel-to-reel tape recorder!) When I added "Warnes" to my search, this happily came up! Thanks so much for uploading this! I thought I would never hear those two incredible songs again.
I bought this great album (and the second and third "Jennifer" albums) from a collector's shop in the late 70s based on Jennifer Warnes' "Right Time Of The Night." I thought the majority of the comments here would be people raving about how great it is to hear Jennifer Warnes material from this long ago, that has nothing to do with the #1 1980s duets. But no one has mentioned Warnes at all in the comments.
This album is one of my very favorite thrift store finds.

My father sang Tree-House on his 1973 album sans the opening verse. I do like this version quite a lot.
I'd like to listen to that version. What's his name?
