That was "purdy". Making memories - that's what it's all about. A man after my own heart - salted nut roll - I have an addiction! Great video - thanks for sharin!
Impressive scenery captured very well! Did the Cascade Canyon Trail in 1968 as a day hike when I was 15 and regrettably haven't made it back since but I do spend a lot of time in the Colorado Rockies. I've gotta make the same GoPro work as well as you did with your cam. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for the kind words. It is one of our favorite hikes. GoPros can do amazing things. And I never have to worry about it getting rained on, snowed on, or dropped in the creek. Enjoy the trails!
We love Cascade Canyon also as well as the North Fork beyond to Lake Solitude. We have planned a backpacking trip along the Teton Crest this August and will camp above the South Fork of Cascade Canyon. Fully enjoy and appreciate how the Go Pro functions for us on long hikes. Paintbrush Divide is worth the effort and something we would like to repeat as long as we are able. Thanks for your comment. Kim and Scott Nolan Nolan Ventures
You guys are super cute! Found you on all trails as I was planning my second trip to the Tetons, this time with the misses. You provided her a lot of confidence beforehand, really appreciate the vids!
Hi, your channel is amazing. After Corona we want to travel to Wyoming & Grand Teton. Can you tell me which month you made this hike and is it always so empty of people? Greetings from Germany
This was the first week of August in 2019. We did it in 2020 also and there was less snow then...it depends on the year. If you start early you can avoid the crowds. Plus...most people won’t hike 17+ miles in a day with 4,000 feet of elevation gain. So that thins the herd. My experience tells me that the further into the Wilderness one goes...the less people one will see. Thanks for watching, and for the comment! Enjoy the trails!
All I carry is a GoPro hero 7 black and an ultralight tripod from Mefoto called the backpacker air. All very small, light, and captures all I want. I hang it on a loop on the front of my backpack straps on my chest so it is always accessible. I tried all sorts of setups but what I described above is all I need and does the trick nicely.

We use a Garmin Montana 650 GPS. I primarily use it for hunting but it works very well for hiking and backpacking adventures. Thanks for the comment and Happy trails!
Took us about 11 hours with plenty of breaks for filtering water and just enjoying the views. We do not try to do it fast...or you miss the whole point.

Thanks and glad to hear this - fantastic! Enjoy the wilderness!
Great video!!!! Hope to do this hike this summer.
Be sure to check with the ranger station regarding snow pack on the divide before you go. Enjoy - it is one of our favorites in GTNP.
@@nolanventures473 Will do. Thanks

Nice video. The scenery and videography is terrific. Did you use a GoPro?

@@nolanventures473 Thanks for the knowledge!
What side arm were you carrying if you don’t mind me asking.
Carry bear spray and a .44. Hope to never need either one on the trail.
I bought a S&W 629 for hiking this August in Jackson Wyoming
