You are absolutely amazing! As a Chinese person myself, I’ve never explored China as deeply as you have. Not only are you traveling in such a meaningful way, but you're also learning Chinese at lightning speed. That's just incredible-you truly deserve to be called an awesome travel master!
Thank you so much! I'm really happy to share my journey of learning and exploring China. I hope there will be more opportunities to learn and experience even more deeply!
FYI: High speed rail (hsr) would use the following letters: G - 高 gao, high-speed trains. C - 城 cheng, intercity HS service. D - 动 dong, all other types of high-speed services, using the high-speed train, but not reaching 300 km/h. (Sleeper hsr is using this letter) Conventional railways trains (and the green train but looks like hsr): Z - 直 zhi, direct service T - 特 te, express K - 快 kuai, fast Y, L, A - temporary stuff S - 市郊 shijiao, suburb service (Beijing S1, S2, S3) And those without letters: other types of regular train services and commuter trains.
For Spain Spain has three gauges AVE Standard high speed rail (310 km/h) Avlo low cost high speed rail (300 km/h) Avant Regional high speed rail (250 km/h) Alvia Gauge Changing high speed ŕail (250 km/h) Intercity Intercity faster train (200km/h) Non fast trains Media Distancia. Conventional speed train covering medium distances (160 km/h ) Regional and Regional Express regional trains with more or less stops (160km/h) Cercanias are conmuter trains with top speeds of 120km/h Then there is Ancho Metrico that are narrow gauge trains at a speed of 100km/h
Jack, your Chinese has improved a lot! You can even have some conversation with Chinese people now. Last time when I watched your video in Beijing, you didn't speak much.
Another great vid. I love the ascetic of thd old trains and thosd mountain views were incredible. That train app sounds amazing I'll definitely be checking that out.
You are the only travel RUclipsr making money I am not red eyes, learning one of the hardest languages, standing on the slow train hours and hours, eating instant noodles next to the toilet… you are truly someone 👍
The old man on the high-speed rail asked you if you were here to study. You heard whether the food was delicious. Hahahaha, he has a strong Northeast Chinese accent. As a southerner, I even have to listen carefully two or three times to understand what they are saying.lol
Jack's like some alien creature that learns things super quick, his language skills esp Chinese has improved tremendously, having full blown conversations with the locals having a good ear for different accents and understanding them is a feat in its self. Shout out to Paige for toughing it out on the long harsh train journeys.
I really enjoyed watching this. Loved how the guy on the train slowly warmed up to you. Just subscribed. I don’t really watch much content from China these days… mixed feelings to be honest. I guess, a little bit of envy also. But I really liked seeing you interacting with people. Even when you didn’t really understand each other at times. That’s what life is all about, at the end of the day, anyway, right? Just subscribed, and I’m looking forward to seeing more from you and your travels, regardless of where life takes you! The flyer was about border tours… basically taking you to spots along the border to see into North Korea from China. Not really sure what she was implying toward the end with that green card, though… The border area is considered a sensitive area, so even though the tour might not take you into North Korea, it might take you to areas that technically people (even Chinese nationals) shouldn’t be traveling to for tourism. That’s why she said something like, “If you were American, they wouldn’t take you”. But yeah, that would still be a pretty interesting tour to go on.
Hope you travel to North Korea one day and vlog the experience of the common people in the countryside, have Korean barbecue on the beach and listen to songs played on a guitar at night. Say what you want about North Korea but the atmosphere there in Pyongyang and outside for example in Wonsan city (planned and built partly by Polish people when were also a socialist country) is just amazing. Cheers
The toilet thing took me out, but then the grandpa really killed me!!! Omg! Best travel RUclipsr!!! Trust me I watch them all! This guy is the realest and funniest without even trying! He’s just being him! Good stuff!! Keep it going bro!!! You will go far!!!
D-Train (动车)is slower than G-Train(高铁),but much faster than Green Train(绿皮车,普通快车). Surprise that there is standing ticket for D-Train. Never see such standing ticket passagers in my experience in D-Train, but only in Green Train.
Thank you so much for always making these videos entertaining! I’m always learning something new from your videos. You’re both so brave. 🤣 I love your guys humor; it always gets me laughing. Keep up the amazing videos as always! I really do appreciate how much effort and time you put into filming and editing. 💙
Thanks you guys so much for heading Pyongyang, North Korea 🇰🇵 this great week in great joy & peace to walks many remarkable places on the streets December of 2024❤❤❤
I don't think you can pass as a person from Xinjiang. You didn't need to lie about your nationality. She said it herself that it would only be a problem for you if you were American as Americans are prohibited from entering North Korea by the US government.
These older locals speak only northeast dialect, which is bt hard even for native Mandarin speakers. It's a pity they could not hit a smooth converstion
The auntie must be a salesperson hired by the travel agency. She kept telling me not to throw away the cards, proving that there would be a small reward for each card given away, but the travel agency forbids salespeople from throwing away cards at will. As for the price of the travel package, maybe it would be more favorable to go directly to the travel agency to bargain.
Actually's auntie's deal isn't bad. Other tours are all like that. I don't think she's a scammer. She told you they had shows, you got to go on an island that was close to North Korea.
There was some miss understanding. The lady was trying to sell you trips to china-korea border, not to N korea ... But dont go to those tours anyway, they will just bring you to some sort of market and sell you over priced stuff
most likely that tour does not go to north korea so it's somewhat of a scam but you do get your money's worth since it does include a lot of the sights you can see without technically entering north korea. there are some 'zones'(islands off the north korean side) china leases from north korea to develop as a tourist stop. the tour guide will make it seem legit and scary to drum up excitement but you aren't entering north korea proper.
Just wondering how much you saved by not having a reserved seat on your journey. Might have been worth it after all thank you very much and enjoy your afternoon ☺️☺️
Hahaha would you believe you save £0.00? The tickets are only available when the seats are totally sold out but for the same price as a seat! Grateful that we can still complete the journey though, if we were more organised we would take less standing trains 🤣
@JackAynsleyTravel Or alternatively take the next train with a reserved seat that strikes me at the best option. Thank you very much and enjoy your evening

Agreed! I am astonished.
Thank you so much! I'm really happy to share my journey of learning and exploring China. I hope there will be more opportunities to learn and experience even more deeply!
Agreed! Anyways, is there any VPN services that is accessible in China?
Dude your mandarin from Feb to today is insane!!
Wow as a fellow linguist can we just talk about how impressive your Mandarin is. Phenomenal.

blimey..the warning that it may be unsettling and not what you're used to. i hope they give koreans visiting Newcastle the same advice.
Get to warn you, mate, North Korean is totally different from China. Do not do anything risky there.
I'm from China and I am actually very pleased to see someone like you enjoying our food and culture and many other stuff. 😊
Bro,you are genius on languages with so short time to learn Chinese fast which is most difficult language in the world.Good job!
Your Chinese is becoming so good, you can easily be taken as ethnic minority from Xinjiang and not raise suspision:D
谢谢!
Jack, your Chinese has improved a lot! You can even have some conversation with Chinese people now. Last time when I watched your video in Beijing, you didn't speak much.
Omg you're having full blown conversations with locals 😮😮😮
That grandpa is asking whether you are studying in a Chinese university. he has strong northeast accent.
The speed you learn Chinese is top of the notch. You are really an extraordinary individual in this regard.
Love the football top. Great to be able to converse in a native language
Even if you bought a non-seat tickets, you still can sit down when someone else gets off. this train is a low speed train.
OMG I could listen to your Mandarin all day long! Great stuff man!
Another great vid. I love the ascetic of thd old trains and thosd mountain views were incredible. That train app sounds amazing I'll definitely be checking that out.
woww.. your video is amazing.. you tell it as it is.. and i like what i see..

Outstanding language skills, did you stay with locals to learn, top class 😊
The old man on the high-speed rail asked you if you were here to study. You heard whether the food was delicious. Hahahaha, he has a strong Northeast Chinese accent. As a southerner, I even have to listen carefully two or three times to understand what they are saying.lol

Excelente video amigo , saludos desde Cuba 🇨🇺👋.
那个“野导游”说的旅游是去边境,不是去朝鲜
The only distressing thing on view was the Newcastle shirt.😄

It seems like this woman will follow you until England. This is becoming a great running gag! :D
大姐真是太敬业了!😁😂👍
that grandma is silly enough to differentiate between English and the native language for Uyghurs
Paige is so pretty ❤
The lady did not sell tours to NK, but rather to the NK border (as it was written on her paper)
what a great experience riding on a train🤩
Great vid. Handsome guy 😅
火车的空座位可以坐的,如果是乘客来了,你还给别人坐就可以了。
the border is hometown......love from guangzhou China
Brother you need to download a wechat so our Chinese people could watch your vidiew.
You should start a wechat and tiktok and do commentary over it
Jack you seem very fluent in Chinese, how long did it take you to master that?
But are the borders open or not for us foreigners?
These older locals speak only northeast dialect, which is bt hard even for native Mandarin speakers. It's a pity they could not hit a smooth converstion
The ad for Trip is weirdly quiet. I think something in editing went wrong.
Wasn’t expecting him to speak Chinese😂
Bro , your mate Kim Jong un really so hilarious 😂 your Putong Hua is another level higher 😅 check mate❤.
**I'm meeting my mate Kim Jung Un in NK** hahahaha
Trip is an excellent APP
Your Chinese is so good that you think you are really a Xinjiang Uyghur lol.
OMG you were in my home city!
Your language ability has obviously improved a lot.😊
Everything points out to a Jack Ryan or Jason Bourne on the move...
经常能在抖音和快手看到你的作品,欢迎你

That middle aged lady keeps pestering you 😂
11th Oct?! What keeps you procrastinating fur so long? Comrade Tommy got locked up in a Russian prison for a 15 days. he is back to biz straight away.
16分钟那个 野导游“你哪人”, JACK “我是新疆人,乌鲁木齐的”。哈哈哈哈
笑死😂
Why didn’t ya just sit on a seat on the train??
wlc 🎉🎉great china's historical beautiful modern border city Dandong ❤
Actually's auntie's deal isn't bad. Other tours are all like that. I don't think she's a scammer. She told you they had shows, you got to go on an island that was close to North Korea.
是的,有这样的行程,上一个中国小岛,但岛上有朝鲜人跳舞演出
There was some miss understanding. The lady was trying to sell you trips to china-korea border, not to N korea ... But dont go to those tours anyway, they will just bring you to some sort of market and sell you over priced stuff
酒仙有语言天赋,到丹东有朝鲜餐厅,尝一下朝鲜菜,看朝鲜美女。
He asked Jack whether you two are studying in university here

The toilet thing killed me😂 made me realize how athletic China is. Were considered a paraplegic to them🤣🤣 I tried the squat thing, I was not a fan🤣
@12:46 is that a North Korean train on the other platform?
Your Chinese speaking even can cheat native Dandong aunt, keep up.
Its so nice how you engage with locals! Its so heartwarming how interested these people are
你确实像新疆人
Just got those 2 small rucksacks?!

Is it safe to wear a Toon shirt, mate? Howay the Lads!!
Everywhere we go!
You can visit China's Korean War Museum which is just in Dandong, Liaoning to see the narrative of China's side about Korean War.
