I would enjoy playing duels more, if the system was like in power league. You can ban 1 brawler and then chose 3 brawlers, and you will see what your opponent is choosing and you can pick brawlers that counter your enemy
yea for sure, or maybe brawl stars can make the power levels more balanced in duels, like making them all power 11 for example. but i can already see some flaws with that lmao.
Why there is need to see opponents brawler before match....just make your team with your strategy and then see opponents team at match...just like pokemon battels......only thing i think is need is that we can decide the order of brawlers during the match , and also able to swap them at some remaining health.

Id say duels is fine, just know wich brawlers to take, who has more advantage and id say thats it, idk why people are strugling with throwers just play colt or someone else with range and wall break gadgets. And honestly overall this is how brawl always has been, u cant play all brawlers u like evrywhere, no matter how skilled. If i were to do something id add more maps ranged from favoring more throwers to favoring more tanks and assasins and something like that, u get the idea.
i agree. if you dont wanna get cheesed by this strategy just use someone with a wall break gadget or a straight up counter like edgar, or even use barley yourself and duel it off!
I think duels could be fixed by removing most walls, and rework the maps so the poison pushes you into the middle quicker but there will be much for space so the melees wont have an unfair advantagr
Honestly crying man, I used another strat that has a 95% chance of winning, Stu to get Super and try to break the wallls or if he dies try to get Super for primo, then the last brawler as Bonnie and since map is broken, it’s pretty simple, for Stu if face a shotgun or shot range brawler, go right in his/her face and dash away as soon as possible. Duels there are a lot of combos to easy win (If you don’t have Bonnie, try a thrower like barley. Also this combo that I stated is for the map that cryingman is playing in this video, if there are many walls in the duels map you are in, you can try Stu, primo and barley. Happy grinding :)
I agree that duels has too much walls, but keeping some of these maps are also important since tanks are so bad in the meta Perhaps the walls should be more around the borders and keep the middle emptier
They should add a zone in middle if u capture then u win so u can beat campers easily Make the time to he in zone 15sec and ur time increases only if enemy isn't in zone but u are Also make the zone big so ppl can use gale tornado on the zone and win by staying in it
duels can be fixed by forcing each brawler to choose the same class of brawler. For example the first brawler has to be a thrower, the next a sniper and the last a tank. If you win a battle, you still move onto the next brawler. the first one to 2 wins, wins the game. and example game would be dyna, piper, el primo vs barley, bea, rosa. This means you always have a chance to win as snipers dont really counter any other sniper and same for the other classes. If dyna wins the first round, he gets a point and both players move onto the next brawler. This also makes it so that to win, you have to at least play 2/3 of your brawlers.
An odd idea of mine but maybe at a specific time during the round/when the gas makes the field a bit more compacted, all walls will break. This can allow less camping behind walls since all walls will break open, long range brawlers can possibly have a mid/late game comeback while tanks can still do decent in early game. When the round finishes, all walls broken will return back to place but any walls broken by a player (such as colt's silver bullet or Frank super) will stay broken.
Maybe map changes for every kill in duels? And rotates between open map, bushy map, map with lots of walls, map with a bit of everything etc, so that every brawler can be used somewhere eventually
Maybe we can fix Duels by doing the same as in Minecraft. So there is like El Primo 1v1 and you can only go in with El Primo. But I think that only works, when they stop losing their players
Got to say I just love duels and the walls can be annoying from time to time but nobody was playing any throwers and besides that there are other work arounds like having a wall breaker as your first brawler but over all I am just so glad that duels is back😁
I posted my concept for a new 1v1 mode with super fair rules on reddit. In short, both players choose one brawler, the third brawler is selected randomly. And then you play same brawler against same brawler. And the random brawler is for tie breaking. It will always be the same brawler against the same one, only gadget and SP allow for slight adjusting in tactics
"No Surrender" is the only good Duels map, because it's hard to camp behind the walls. Love rope fence + Bush. I agree with your 1st way to fix Duels. I also suggest the rule, where each round you start with nothing, so for ex. Stu's can't feed the next brawler's super. Maybe even make 1 gadget per round (If you don't use it, It'll gone)
I found another way but u need all brawlers under 500 trophies. You lose 2 or 3 matches then you face bots. Idk why but in duels if u face bots once you face them over and over. I got from like 18k trophies to 20k this way. (Took me 1 day but it’s been patched)
No walls will be no fun, what duels should do is have it so walls appear for few seconds then disappear, so they are random appear, walls can appear in different places too so it’s different every game
1) I think Duels should show and allow the brawlers that you and your opponent both have so that players at least know about the other's picks and be able to ready themselves. Might even a good chance to have a mirror match. Power differences are gonna be a problem tho. Duels is supposed to be this 1v1 mode where your skill shines but most of the time it's a coin toss whether your brawlers can cheese it or they're countered. 2) Duels maps should have spikes, slowing tiles or a poison cloud in key spots to discourage camping and make the players keep moving. Maybe even add some jump pads, teleporters, speed tiles and health pads to mix it up a bit. There's only one map that has one of these and it's just a teleporter.
I remember playing on a map like this when grom was the most broken brawler all you had to do was go around the barrels and the cross shape pattern of groms attack would hit them no matter how hard they tried to juke or get close to you.

Duels can be improved by adding a single hot zone in the map, acquiring the zone or getting a kill will make you win the round. Poison should be removed then, only the time limit will suffice.
This is what I think reworked duels should be like. -Both players cycle through their next brawler each round regardless of win or lose. -The first player to have 2 wins is the winner. If both players die on the 3rd round, the next round is sudden death. -Progress of super resets each round. I think these changes would prevent players from exploiting supers carried over between brawlers while also forcing them to not rely on one brawler in particular.
Ok, at this time duels is much better. However on this map, against your strategy, this would be mine: The first brawler would be someone who can get a free super, like max with her star power or Edgar with his gadget. If you lose to barley then you’ll have a super for the next brawler, and el primo is a perfect counter to him. After that, it will be primo vs primo and if you lose, final pick would be Shelly for me. Most likely you will beat primo and spike.
I agree with the duels changing... It should be like a random deck in Clash Royale! Like the computer chooses 3 brawlers ... Because people just go like edgar leon and gale... They legit counter every comp you have and maybe fix the walls with 1 tile rather than 4 tiles where primos can camp... I tried that comp but failed😕
So you're suggesting a sort of power league type of system for Duels? In that case, each player would have to pick 2 brawlers that both players have. So both players have to play the brawlers that are already picked in the order of their own choice. Maybe each player may even be able to ban a brawler that they hate playing. This could be interesting.
But I usually do duels just because of quick matchmaking and this change would make me and a few player quit playing this game unless there is a quest for it

Keep the maps as they are or rework them slightly, but add a timer and once the timer reaches 0, all the walls and grass disappears, like in brawl ball, meaning that you can still camp before the timer reaches 0 or still use throwers but after that t is an open map, then only after everything is gone and a set period of time, add smoke to push brawlers together.
I mean I didn't know if you knew but a while back I used this same strategy, but with Darrell. and I basically didn't attack at all and waited for the gas
Actually when sc first add this mode, i thought it will be some arcade games like street fighter. We can pick brawlers at first, then when the match start, we can still change our brawler. However, the health and ammos unchange. When one brawler died, the game wont stop and force brawlers go back to spawn but still continue. They respawn at the place where they just died but the smoke will be reset. I hope duels will be like that.
1:25 any decent player would have killed him there, just dodge back, wait for him to shoot u again go down gadjet from that shot or next one depend if the first one will hit u and u easily finish barley cuz of crazy max dmg(decent like atleast legendary in team league or something)
Maybe if they added walls that would detect players camping behind them for more than 20 seconds then they just go down and only return when people aren't close to them for 20 seconds or more or less time based on how hard it would be to play thrower brawlers
Instead of poison, there should be a time limit to duel and the brawler who has the most damage wins that round the other gets eliminated, instead of 3 opponent has to bring a team of 4 brawlers and you have the option to ban one brawler, thereby making possible to not face hard counters/annoyance etc .... The map should favour short obstacles instead of long walls (just a general view for duel maps) and during ban phase you have to option to rearrange your team.... So you don't have a weird brawler in front and at last..... This will make it balanced yet much more fun.... 👍
LOL funny how you made a video about this because just a few weeks ago before duels was taken out of the game I figured out the barley strat, and since my barley is at around 400 trophies i can just wait for them to come up to the wall and then I just gadget and auto aim. I used slow gadget, too. That secured a win every time 😂
The problem with both players having the same brawler is that at the 500-650 range there are lvl 5 brawlers(usually me lol) and also lvl 11 brawlers with maxed gears. This means that lower lvl players would be at a massive disadvantage compared to the current system, since in non-mirror matchups the brawler usually matters more than the amount of levels. (I.e. gale will still counter assassins even if the assassins are 5 levels higher than him.) However, if a lvl 6 gale is against a lvl 11 gale, the level 11 gale will probably win even if the lvl 6 played better overall.
but I think these wall maps allow tank or other low range brawler to play in duels,if duels map has almost no walls there would be a lot of long range brawler and low range brawler can NEVER be picked to play duels. so I think there should be no walls and lot walls map existed at same and let players to play all brawlers with different maps
I recommend a pick phase for duels... so u will face opponent first... then u both will choose ur first brawler at same time(doesn't show ur brawler to opponent before his pick) then u both can see ur opponent first brawler... after that u can ban 1 brawler and pick other 2 brawlers in same way (u both ban, then see what ur opponent banned, u both pick then see opponent brawler till third pick) and after that u'll re order ur brawlers. u have 10 seconds for each phase and 15 for last phase which u can change star power/gadget/and orders... it will take 1 extra minute for each match but its balanced... I think different maps should be fine even with lots of walls or bushes... u'll pick barley? I'll pick a wall breaker and put it as my first brawler... unless u ban my colt (for example) but then if I have 50 iq I can understand u banned colt so u want to cheese... I'll counter it
Rule 1: 0:49 the problem with this rule is that some brawlers like Edgar can get super without doing anything Rule 2: 1:00 one of these maps for 2024 just has grass no walls and annoying people will sit in the grass until the gas comes Rule 3: 1:53 this strategy can get countered by Frank, Ash and other tanks
I think an easy improvement would be to have walls disappear and reappear all along the game. But it would give a warning before disappearing. It would push people to take risks to move to the other walls.
I've been thinking about 3 things: 1. Put a timer in duels 2. Make posion come in much faster 3. Put the bar that beta knockout used to have, so that by the end of the time, the player that dealt more damage wins
So you are saying the one who deal more dmg. will win....then it will resist everyone from taking high hp brawlers as if already have less hp on our side then how can they deal more dmg.
i was about to say the 3rd was stupd but the 2nd counters it. even so, throwers, who do NOT need any more advantage will have he upper hand. Look, if the map is changed thats fine but you did not say any map changes in your "3 things" so uh yea.
I personally think the slowing gadget for barley is better because if they’re Darryl they can just charge ability and then rush you when you can’t do anything
Duels could add a feature similar to power league, the ability to ban a brawler while in the match and pick them there too, maybe not the best idea but I feel it could be a good starting point to fix duels

the system would only allow players to pick brawlers that both sides have. All brawlers will automatically be level 11. Cus sometimes some people have certain brawlers at high level but others dont
To balance duels: remove ordered brawler rotation & make it random. & all brawlers can recharge their super (too much?) or super charging drinks spawn in the direction of the brawler who has the lowest super. Like energy drinks but for super. They could also think of adding healing mushrooms at a smaller radius.
Hmm... 1. You can select 3 Brawlers, but the game chooses order 2. Maybe poison can come from the sides first (left and right), to deal with some walls
Since you're high rank you probably haven't noticed this, but Im in 13k trophies (I know not a lot) but Im being against like 20 - 30k players, so its unfair for me. But then I sometimes go against players in like 5k or 10k so its just unfair for them. Supercell needs to fix the matchmaking in Duels.

I got an idea: This could work same as power league but, randomly a player will choose a brawler for both teamates (In this game mode you'll have every brawler and every brawler maxed) and before player 1 picks 2 brawlers, the other player will pick other 2 brawlers for both. Yep, there will be 4 picks, instead of 3, so 2 picks for each player, and the both players will play the same brawler as the rival, that will be fair, and thats what we need, some fun without unfair strategies like ''lvl 11 brawler vs lvl 8 brawler'' if everyone gets maxed and all brawler in this game mode we can have fun, trophies and looking for who's the best with that brawler. Duels is kinda impossible to be fair for every brawler. Cause if there are little to no walls, short range brawlers can’t do anything except hope the long range brawler misses there shots.
I was playing duels when the opponents were Frank,Ash,and Jackie. At first I was confused cuz tanks r really bad but then Frank just hid behind the 2x2 wall and waited for the poison to come in and killed me with his gadget. I’d like it if supercell added a type of wall that sinks into the ground and comes back up every few seconds.
I can not tell you how many times I got destroyed by Edgars and throwers camping behind those stupid walls only to have them spam the thumbs down button a bunch for a scummy strat. So now I use throwers in duels and I get a ton of wins even though I am super bad with throwers it's ridiculous. P.S. I think they should disable the thumbs down button in duels because it feels way more toxic in that mode.
Maybe Pokemon fighting system? We choose 3 brawler in menu. At the start every player pick brawler, and then after won/lost or just lost fight you can choose your next brawler.
Actually last time when duels were in the game there was a bug if you lose certain amount of games you will face bot but if you don't change your brawlers you will face bots continuously no matter how many games you win I farmed I think 500 trophies
maybe not remove walls completely. They could add walls which go into the floor and come up again after a while, so that there is also some time to hide and a time when they cant hide behind walls
I have an idea for( Duel ). Before starting the game. Let your opponents chose what brawler you play with and, the same thing you chose one of his brawlers. This way gives opportunities. For brawlers who have weak points. Tell me if it was a horrible idea. 💡 : 3
i think the part where you choose your 3 brawlers should stay, but when you are in game you decide which brawler goes first second and third so you can play a more strategic game based on your opponent's pick. Nice vide btw
In my opinion, you shouldn't be able to use same brawler for more then 1 match and you choose order once battle starts and make it best 2/3 and the order thing I mean exa : u see enemy team's brawlers and u have let's say spike barley penny. You then choose who to use and brawler you used for first match can not be used again
I think, that duels need to work like old knockout. You got more damage to enemy-you win. And supercell need to delete this poison from duels, cuz ~70% players plays around this. And camping is bad for health, so don't so it

‘Power Duels’ would be a good idea. I think regular duels should be kept but this would fix a lot of problems

i pushed 17 brawlers to 750 trophies,they were at 500 from duels. i love this game mode

I think these changes would prevent players from exploiting supers carried over between brawlers while also forcing them to not rely on one brawler in particular.
Ok, at this time duels is much better. However on this map, against your strategy, this would be mine: The first brawler would be someone who can get a free super, like max with her star power or Edgar with his gadget. If you lose to barley then you’ll have a super for the next brawler, and el primo is a perfect counter to him. After that, it will be primo vs primo and if you lose, final pick would be Shelly for me. Most likely you will beat primo and spike.

I agree with the duels changing... It should be like a random deck in Clash Royale! Like the computer chooses 3 brawlers ... Because people just go like edgar leon and gale... They legit counter every comp you have and maybe fix the walls with 1 tile rather than 4 tiles where primos can camp... I tried that comp but failed😕
So you're suggesting a sort of power league type of system for Duels? In that case, each player would have to pick 2 brawlers that both players have. So both players have to play the brawlers that are already picked in the order of their own choice. Maybe each player may even be able to ban a brawler that they hate playing. This could be interesting.
But I usually do duels just because of quick matchmaking and this change would make me and a few player quit playing this game unless there is a quest for it

Keep the maps as they are or rework them slightly, but add a timer and once the timer reaches 0, all the walls and grass disappears, like in brawl ball, meaning that you can still camp before the timer reaches 0 or still use throwers but after that t is an open map, then only after everything is gone and a set period of time, add smoke to push brawlers together.

Actually when sc first add this mode, i thought it will be some arcade games like street fighter. We can pick brawlers at first, then when the match start, we can still change our brawler. However, the health and ammos unchange. When one brawler died, the game wont stop and force brawlers go back to spawn but still continue. They respawn at the place where they just died but the smoke will be reset. I hope duels will be like that.
1:25 any decent player would have killed him there, just dodge back, wait for him to shoot u again go down gadjet from that shot or next one depend if the first one will hit u and u easily finish barley cuz of crazy max dmg(decent like atleast legendary in team league or something)
Maybe if they added walls that would detect players camping behind them for more than 20 seconds then they just go down and only return when people aren't close to them for 20 seconds or more or less time based on how hard it would be to play thrower brawlers
Or if it's too situational add walls that switch up and down randomly across the whole map at the same time
Instead of poison, there should be a time limit to duel and the brawler who has the most damage wins that round the other gets eliminated, instead of 3 opponent has to bring a team of 4 brawlers and you have the option to ban one brawler, thereby making possible to not face hard counters/annoyance etc .... The map should favour short obstacles instead of long walls (just a general view for duel maps) and during ban phase you have to option to rearrange your team.... So you don't have a weird brawler in front and at last..... This will make it balanced yet much more fun.... 👍
They should delete or improve most of the maps. I'd like to see more maps made for short range brawlers
LOL funny how you made a video about this because just a few weeks ago before duels was taken out of the game I figured out the barley strat, and since my barley is at around 400 trophies i can just wait for them to come up to the wall and then I just gadget and auto aim. I used slow gadget, too. That secured a win every time 😂
The problem with both players having the same brawler is that at the 500-650 range there are lvl 5 brawlers(usually me lol) and also lvl 11 brawlers with maxed gears. This means that lower lvl players would be at a massive disadvantage compared to the current system, since in non-mirror matchups the brawler usually matters more than the amount of levels. (I.e. gale will still counter assassins even if the assassins are 5 levels higher than him.)
However, if a lvl 6 gale is against a lvl 11 gale, the level 11 gale will probably win even if the lvl 6 played better overall.
but I think these wall maps allow tank or other low range brawler to play in duels,if duels map has almost no walls there would be a lot of long range brawler and low range brawler can NEVER be picked to play duels.
so I think there should be no walls and lot walls map existed at same and let players to play all brawlers with different maps
I recommend a pick phase for duels... so u will face opponent first... then u both will choose ur first brawler at same time(doesn't show ur brawler to opponent before his pick) then u both can see ur opponent first brawler... after that u can ban 1 brawler and pick other 2 brawlers in same way (u both ban, then see what ur opponent banned, u both pick then see opponent brawler till third pick) and after that u'll re order ur brawlers. u have 10 seconds for each phase and 15 for last phase which u can change star power/gadget/and orders... it will take 1 extra minute for each match but its balanced... I think different maps should be fine even with lots of walls or bushes... u'll pick barley? I'll pick a wall breaker and put it as my first brawler... unless u ban my colt (for example) but then if I have 50 iq I can understand u banned colt so u want to cheese... I'll counter it
Rule 1: 0:49 the problem with this rule is that some brawlers like Edgar can get super without doing anything
Rule 2: 1:00 one of these maps for 2024 just has grass no walls and annoying people will sit in the grass until the gas comes
Rule 3: 1:53 this strategy can get countered by Frank, Ash and other tanks
I think an easy improvement would be to have walls disappear and reappear all along the game. But it would give a warning before disappearing. It would push people to take risks to move to the other walls.

2. No teaming
3. Fast matchmaking
Fix maps first, then worry about other changes.

1. Put a timer in duels
2. Make posion come in much faster
3. Put the bar that beta knockout used to have, so that by the end of the time, the player that dealt more damage wins

Duels could add a feature similar to power league, the ability to ban a brawler while in the match and pick them there too, maybe not the best idea but I feel it could be a good starting point to fix duels

the system would only allow players to pick brawlers that both sides have. All brawlers will automatically be level 11. Cus sometimes some people have certain brawlers at high level but others dont
To balance duels: remove ordered brawler rotation & make it random. & all brawlers can recharge their super (too much?) or super charging drinks spawn in the direction of the brawler who has the lowest super. Like energy drinks but for super. They could also think of adding healing mushrooms at a smaller radius.

Since you're high rank you probably haven't noticed this, but Im in 13k trophies (I know not a lot) but Im being against like 20 - 30k players, so its unfair for me. But then I sometimes go against players in like 5k or 10k so its just unfair for them. Supercell needs to fix the matchmaking in Duels.

This could work same as power league but, randomly a player will choose a brawler for both teamates (In this game mode you'll have every brawler and every brawler maxed) and before player 1 picks 2 brawlers, the other player will pick other 2 brawlers for both.
Yep, there will be 4 picks, instead of 3, so 2 picks for each player, and the both players will play the same brawler as the rival, that will be fair, and thats what we need, some fun without unfair strategies like ''lvl 11 brawler vs lvl 8 brawler'' if everyone gets maxed and all brawler in this game mode we can have fun, trophies and looking for who's the best with that brawler. Duels is kinda impossible to be fair for every brawler. Cause if there are little to no walls, short range brawlers can’t do anything except hope the long range brawler misses there shots.
I was playing duels when the opponents were Frank,Ash,and Jackie. At first I was confused cuz tanks r really bad but then Frank just hid behind the 2x2 wall and waited for the poison to come in and killed me with his gadget. I’d like it if supercell added a type of wall that sinks into the ground and comes back up every few seconds.

I can not tell you how many times I got destroyed by Edgars and throwers camping behind those stupid walls only to have them spam the thumbs down button a bunch for a scummy strat. So now I use throwers in duels and I get a ton of wins even though I am super bad with throwers it's ridiculous.

I think they should disable the thumbs down button in duels because it feels way more toxic in that mode.

We choose 3 brawler in menu. At the start every player pick brawler, and then after won/lost or just lost fight you can choose your next brawler.

Actually last time when duels were in the game there was a bug if you lose certain amount of games you will face bot but if you don't change your brawlers you will face bots continuously no matter how many games you win I farmed I think 500 trophies
maybe not remove walls completely. They could add walls which go into the floor and come up again after a while, so that there is also some time to hide and a time when they cant hide behind walls
With the brawler selection idea for fixing it, they could make it like power league drafts. Each player bans a brawler then takes turns picking

i think the part where you choose your 3 brawlers should stay, but when you are in game you decide which brawler goes first second and third so you can play a more strategic game based on your opponent's pick. Nice vide btw
In my opinion, you shouldn't be able to use same brawler for more then 1 match and you choose order once battle starts and make it best 2/3 and the order thing I mean exa : u see enemy team's brawlers and u have let's say spike barley penny.
You then choose who to use and brawler you used for first match can not be used again
Same with others like a best 2/3 like knockout
I think, that duels need to work like old knockout. You got more damage to enemy-you win. And supercell need to delete this poison from duels, cuz ~70% players plays around this. And camping is bad for health, so don't so it
