    That Level Eater + Precious Cards From Beyond deck is SICK. Crazy that there's always new strats being explored in Edison.

      It got me brainstorming a more "good stuff" version
      3 Blue eyes
      3 White stone
      3 Debris Dragon
      3 cards of consonance
      1 charge of light
      3 ryko
      2 dandy
      2 tytanial
      2 giga plant
      3 quickdraw
      2 ultimate offering
      2 fiend comedian
      3 level eater
      2 precious cards
      2 double summon
      2 beast king barbaros
      Blue eyes package works well for good tribute summon + deck thins, plant stuff deck thins and also goes crazy with ultimate offering, fiend comedian goes crazy if you get the send to graveyard flip

    Wow, I made a similar plant version of the cards from beyond deck a month or two ago.
    It lets you play tytannial (which u can either lonefire or tribute summon) and Amaryliss (also tribute summonable), tomato as floater, as well as being able to pitch or set dandy in opps turn (or revive it with limit reverse, call), mark of the rose for tributes, and soul exchanges to tribute opps monster off for lonefire or tribute summon. Played one barbaros and one plasma for the dandy plays. All your tributes are level 8 so you can play trade-ins (which helps to cycle plants into grave).
    Seems a bit less bricky than the infinite tribute version but less OTK potential so probably less fun. I hadn't thought about Overwhelm, I'd been messing around with Pollinosis. The metal reflect slime for the level eater is crazy too.
    Side note: at 3:25, would the barbaros not just pop the monsters summoned by Return from the Different Dimension if it was chained to his eff?

      I think it would. Also, do you have a list of the deck you were suggesting?

    17:59 they couldn't search Necrovalley under Thunder King. Oops
    Also, in the very last match: my guess is he only plays 2 Wulf

    I was the opponent vs the Chaos Fairy player. It was a very close match and I had fun playing even tho I misplayed A LOT. Im fairly new to Edison so give it time I’ll sharpen my skills and these games will clean up tremendously. I’m enjoying playing my version of Mill/DAD Synchro. It just does thing but I hate Vayu turbo so I just don’t play that engine. It’s a work in progress as I explore the meta through the Edison ladder. Was happy to have my duel featured on the channel even tho I wasn’t the uploader of this however I did upload my replay to the discord about a month ago (different deck) and it didn’t get featured so this makes up for it lol

    The reason I went Brio in that game 1 was because next turn he would run over def stardust and I’m stuck having to hit over fortress and lose Goyo, was hoping he wouldn’t draw a machine after the brio bounce so I could have lethal the next turn. Sad I didn’t get to show the crazy combo with desynchro, but exemplar + instant fusion to special back nights end (banish 2) + musician king to make arcanite pop 2, de synchro to banish 2 again, make arcanite again and pop another 2. So 4 pops and 4 banishes. If only exemplar wasn’t once per turn could make another lvl 6 and banish another 2 lol

    Heya, author of the last replay here! I'd like to clear up a few things.
    Game 1 I went Brain Caius on the backrow because I felt like with my hand I just had to start picking apart my opponent's board and try to apply some pressure, looking back it probably wasn't the best play but this was the thought process at the time.
    I flipped Ryko on the backrow because I felt like I could just kill the opponent at the time if their backrow wasn't D Prison or Mirror Force (which I don't actually know if Gravekeepers play, but I found it more likely to be one of those at the time than torrential.), I also thought if worse came to worse I could just use the Hamster I had set to pop the Necrovalley with another ryko.
    In game 2 I kept avarice because I sided out two Wulfs thinking they wouldn't be great against Gravekeepers, but I'm not great at side decking and didn't feel like any of my other side cards would really be good to side in in place of avarice so I kept it in hoping for the best. Sadly, I drew the one Wulf I had left so that's why I couldn't mill Wulf with Exodius later to go for Celestia. Then, in game 3, I sided in one more Wulf so this wouldn't happen again, but only one Wulf so that's why I also couldn't Exodius for the third Wulf later on to go for game.
    I also went for Lyla over recharge in game 3 because, like in game 1 I kinda wanted to just pick at my opponent's board and I felt like it was better to do that with the Lyla I already had in hand than to hope I drew into something with recharge. I also set the recharge as a bluff because I felt like I had a good chance of drawing into a Lightsworn name soon and I didn't think I'd need the Gorz next turn.
    So yeah, that's the reasoning behind my plays, not all of them were the most optimal since I'm still relatively new to Edison, but that's just how it is! Thank you Karpath for featuring my replay, I love playing this deck and I'm glad I got the idea for it from ya!

    3:11 Karpath i wish you would check these replays for illegal plays cause the barboros would destroy the monsters brought back from return as well. allowing illegal plays shows you just care for quantity over quality content.

    • @Karpath_
      @Karpath_  9 месяцев назад +11

      I am only human, I cannot catch every single mistake in every single replay. I didn’t notice it happening when I watched the replay live so idk why you think I would have noticed it if I pre-checked the replay (which is something I actually do, I just also missed it the first time around.) Besides, the play you are describing had literally 0 impact on the outcome. This is just something that you will have to accept because we don’t have automatic simulators, even high-level tournaments have illegal plays happen from time to time.

    • @pr-pc8fq
      @pr-pc8fq 9 месяцев назад +4

      idk, i don't think it really detracts from the point of the series. i think it's fine as long as the deck gimmick actually works and isn't based on a misunderstanding of how the card(s) actually works. if you wanna see high level play, then this series is just not it

    • @blackrosed8068
      @blackrosed8068 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@pr-pc8fq The deck showcased isnt the one that made the wrong play... RFDD was cl2 so it wouldve been nuked with Barb in cl1. So the deck wins. Regardless, the deck still won because it made A SECOND BARB

    • @pr-pc8fq
      @pr-pc8fq 9 месяцев назад

      that doesn't really have anything to do with my point. all i was saying is that i don't think small errors like that detract from what this series is trying to do. it would only really be a problem if the gimmick is based on something that doesn't actually work that way, if for example you could only summon 1 level eater per turn, while the deck is based on getting 2 of them @@blackrosed8068
