Not really a 100% since thats impossible without time travelling to older vers for old arena plants that are GONE now'n days. Same for premium plants. They cost 5$ each and since there are 16 plants or so youll spend 80$ and we have seedium plants (plants that you have to get a specific number of seedpackets to unlock) and also torch wood because you can unlock him all the way after 5 days so it will be a very long speedrun
im kinda sad they removed the keys and made you play ALL THE 312 LEVELS to finish rather than the 42 that were required before because before you had the keys you could just do the worlds you thought were cool and stuff and buying a premium plant at AE that would be powered from modern day plant it would be a nightmare
I have an idea: Make it so the final level drops a key that can open any world BUT it's single use, and have to beat every level, but that's probably a heck to balance...

20:26 this level is easely cheesable by placing infinuts or spike weeds on top of the flowers. For some reason, if a zombies steps on a ground plant that's in the same tile as a flower they'll just walk thru.
In case anyone wants to know why people speedrun this older version: In the current PvZ 2 you can't skip between worlds since world keys no longer exist (the one played in this video is at least a few years old now). So you would have to speedrun literally every level sequentially (hundreds of levels). Speedrunning the current version would probably take at least 20 hours 😂 Also good to see cabbage pults plant food being acknowledged, its super underrated imo.
The older versions abolish the poorly designed Egypt balancing and power descrepencies from The new versions Anyway this version was when Zackscott was challenged by popcap and he passed and they awarded everyone with world keys to go wherever they wanted to beat the games content What would be cool to see would be the mods for this game like reflourished or Altverz because this game has so much more content to explore

You can all use the cheat engine speedhack feature to speed up games, not for speedruns necessarily, but just to make them more enjoyable, or to speed through unskippable cutscenes.

I am freaking out, will edit this comment again after watching the video Edit: ok 24:23 THATS ME!! I have so much I want to say, so bare with me because this is going to be long. First offI NEED to start out by saying that at 20:23 you said that day 30 is the hardest level in the game. This is WRONG. Day 28 of Big Wave Beach is BY FAR the hardest level in the game. Nothing even comes close to matching the difficulty of the level. For reference, I held 7 world records in this game before beating that level even once. Its rough. Day 30 IS the hardest level in the any% speedrun though! 2. World record strats completely ditch the blover and primal peashooter combo, opting instead to just use the best plant in the game, lazer beam, to beat the early levels. We use the shadow plants for every difficult level (including level 30). Level 30 has the exact same spawn pattern every time, so there is a specific strategy used to beat it (watch my World Record speedrun if you want to know how!!). 3. I might try to copy that strategy for the final zomboss. I think it is faster than what I did (which is beat the Neon Mixtape Tour level instead of Frostbite Caves). That is easily the weakest part of my run, and what you did just looked a lot faster. lastly, AND MOST IMPORTANT: I just want to say thank you so much for running this game!! You were one of my inspirations to me getting back into speedrunning, and it is SO COOL that you decided to run my favorite speedgame :D. It wasn't long ago when I was studying your PvZ1 speedrun content, trying to replicate it so I could try to grow my channel, and pvz2 speedrunning in general. Thank you for giving me PTSD. Seriously, level 28 of Big Wave beach is a nightmare with all the fisherman and Octozombies, and as a reminder the banana launchers are not strong enough to deal with bucketheads or Octozombies. That being said, the rest of Big Wave beach wasn't that bad due to primal plants being overpowered and Rotobaga not being reliant on lily pads, but maybe it was just leveling.
As someone who 100% this game without spending a cent, i'm very glad that we arrived to similar conclusions. The beach is absolute torture, there is absolutely no fun in them. Laser Beans are OP (I brought mine to lvl 9 to OS regular zombies). Also that Shadow plants are OP. Though I did get help from the now removed quest that gives that plant that gives lots of sun at once. Insane plant, carried me. I dont know what the world record is for the infinite levels, but I went up to lvl 100 with the pirates (It's the easiest one). Finally, do we agree that the primal nut and sunflower are broken? The nut more so, but still. And that the jesters are stupid, and you need laser beans against them
@@randomperson9732 primal potato mine is busted, I still don't know if primal sunflower or sun-shroom is better. For speedrunning, the nut is mainly just slow, and there are better stalling plants such as thyme warp for the 100% speedrun (which took 15 hours of my life I will never get back). In Jurassic Marsh% however, the nut is pretty good! And sadly to my knowledge there isn't really any records for the infinite levels, mainly because its not really feasible to make a non P2W category for it. Maybe there are some youtube videos out there that have insane high scores, but not in the tiny speedrunning community XD

Such a nostalgia. Level with introducing powers doesn't have plants (now it have them and you can plant them) and keys to the worlds (they are gone now, you need to beat world to unlock next)
One of my favorite combos in this game is using plant food on the imp pear and then shrinking violet because you can clear out a large majority of the zombies on the lawn with that strategy due to the shrinking violet instantly eliminating any imps and other normally small zombies that are shrunk by it.
i got impear only recently but shrinking violet wil always be a good plant in my book for it's ability to neutralize gargantuars in normal and endless mode

The rest can be done with rent a plant. A bit of a Grindy process. If you have all the coins and gems it makes it faster. But if you run out or low you’re gonna be outta luck.
I've been playing this game for the past year and I've gotten so addicted. It's a really fun game and a great sequel to one of the greatest mobile games ever made. Modern day 30 can easily be cheesed by placing spikeweed or spikerock on top of the flowers, the only treats now would be gargantuars but everthing else could walk right pass it. In fact, every "Dont let zombies trample the flowers" level, as long as the flowers are in the middle of a tile, can be cheesed by spikerock or spikeweed, the only treats are zombies that can destroy spikeweed/rock plants

I've been playing this game for the past year and I've gotten so addicted. It's a really fun game and a great sequel to one of the greatest mobile games ever made. I would die to watch you 100% speedrun this game and see some of the expansion levels as well. If you do, good luck with wild west wipeout.

I did it once and it was accidentally, in total it took 12 hours (It was in 2 days)

Man, I remember playing this game a long time ago and it wasn't easy to beat this game each stage you had to get another key it didn't give you all the keys which made the game more difficult

Probably the hardest PvZ game because using powerups and levelling up plants are must... But speedrunners are built different xD

Modern day 30 can easily be cheesed by placing spikeweed or spikerock on top of the flowers, the only treats now would be gargantuars but everthing else could walk right pass it.
In fact, every "Dont let zombies trample the flowers" level, as long as the flowers are in the middle of a tile, can be cheesed by spikerock or spikeweed, the only treats are zombies that can destroy spikeweed/rock plants
