Today I ranked every plants vs zombies plant based on their abilities and explained why plants each plant in the game was either useful or not. Plants vs Zombies is a defense game where you use plants to defend your yard against zombies.

The fact that potato mine takes so long to kill the zombie is what makes it so good. You can stall out the zombies in the start of the level and plant as many sunflowers as you can. S-Tier

4:27 I don't understand the scardey shroom hate. It's litterally a peashooter that costs 25 sun, and the only drawback is that it doesn't attack when a zombie is close to it.
Because we have the idea ingraved into our minds that our sun producers should be in the last row. Putting Scaredy Shrooms in the last or last 2 rows makes what is basically an instant win for most night levels. I would even argue Scaredy Shroom is better then Puff Shroom because of that

Scardy Shroom is not bad
It's a peashooter for a quarter of the price, and as long as you don't put it in the front, then it's easily one of the best plants in my opinion

I was born in 2009 (Late Gen Z).
I remember back in 2016 when I first learnt of the game and wanted to try myself, which when I got my first device on my birthday of the same year, PvZ was one of the first games that I ever had.

The pumpkin is definitely amazing, used it for either the lanterns during fog or would place them over walnuts/tall nuts to basically give extra time for them to survive/hold off zombies!

Garlic is SUPER underrated imo. It costs as much as a wal nut, but if you put one in every row. You can stall zombies for so long.
it's rally good in combination of the cob cannon since you can put the zombies into 3 rows and the cob cannon can just kill all 3 rows in one shot
It's also good paired with gloom shrooms
Useless in Survival:Endless though, Mr.Gargle my nuts and his Giga variant spawns too often. Good everywhere else though.

@@Xbridge-zr2jf Garlic was so good too. When I first realised what it can do, I started putting them in 3 non-comsecutive lanes & put sunflowers & marigolds behind them. In the other lanes I just put many kinds of shooters & the tall-nut.

I'd love to hear Burdie rank every Garden Warfare 2 character. That game's unironically one of the greatest shooter games of all time and I still play it ocassionally to this day (though not as much since there are tons of hackers)

Sun shroom. Scardey shroom. Fume shroom. And a couple of puffshrooms. It’s a goated order

Twin Sunflower is really good in survival game modes.
Scaredy Shroom is a better peashooter because it's only 1/4 the cost. Most strategies put them in the far back so their handicap won't appear.
Cherry Bomb is excellent for crowd control and is arguably more powerful than Jalapeno.
Hypno Shroom is the worst Semi-Insta plant since you have to find high health zombies for output.
Keep in mind Blover is 100 Sun plant that only takes the fog temporarily, while Plantern is a permanent stage modifier costs only 25, a wall plant is all you need.
Split Pea is outclassed by both Starfruit and Gloom Shroom. Also, useless damage output if there are no Diggers or Pole-Valuters.
You have been sleeping on Coffee-Bean, you don't know how OP stacking sleeping Doom Shrooms and Ice Shrooms on the lawn to use for later are.
Aside from that, great list! Also based for putting Umbrella Leaf in B Tier.

Here’s why puff shroom is the best plant and fits in S tier. Sure you can spam them at nighttime and won’t have to do something until a tougher zombie arrives. You can still use it outside of nighttime as a stalling plant when it sleeps. Imitater gives double the effect and can stall early game zombies. It can also stall gargs for longer.

Chomper a busted plant, Wall-nut + Chomper allows for eating them effectively, shovelling them is great for speedrunning and you can just use them as instas, no idea what burdie talking about.

I beat the original game 3 times already and the second game once, and I say your tier list is wrong in so many ways.
I would put Scaredy shroom in b tier since it’s basically a cheap spammable peashooter for night time Along with coffee bean
All Mushrooms sleep in daytime including mushrooms like doom and ice shroom, u can stack them up since they won’t detonate and u may use coffee bean on them whenever u like instead of waiting on their cooldown, coffee bean also allows u to use gloom shrooms during day, but other than that great video ❤
Potato mine is used as a cheap way to kill zombies in the beggining which is good for saving up sun and sunflowers, this might be subjective but some plants like sunflower are basic utility therefor are required and should be in a Too specific or Utility rank and twin sunflowers are usefull in survival endless
P.S. Im not a fan of the fact that in PvZ 2 upgrade plants are their own plants I mean Gloom-Shroom is ok it is completely different from fume-shroom but Winter Pult being its own thing is just stupid I mean it has a higher damage and it freezes guys and yes it is expensive but PvZ 2 gives you 2X more sun and for the Twin Sunflower over the regular one YIKES
EDIT:10 PUff-Shrooms is bad because they have a short range meaning only the front 3 will shoot so only put 3

D - fume shroom, kelp, spike weed, threepeater, sea shroom, ice shroom
F - merigold, scaredy shroom, coffee bean, potato mine, garlic

Coffee bean should go in B tier for the reason that a lot of the shroom plants, especially during the daytime are really strong like gloom shroom and doom shroom. Being able to fill a colemn of magnet shrooms during the daytime wouldn't be done without coffee bean.

As a person who do speedrun pvz for fun. All instant-kill plants are all S except for hypno( it sucks ). Especially chomper because of it's low cooldown. Sun cost is irrelevant cuz I place shit ton of sunflower. It's my thought so don't judge it.
