Today, we're talking about something some of you may have forgotten, that being the worst Power Rangers team up episode of all time, Legendary Battle. Legendary Battle is the twentieth and final episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the sequel to Power Rangers Megaforce. It marks the appearance of the Legendary Rangers, as well as the final appearance of the Armada.
Days after, an extended episode which comprised of both The Wrath and Legendary Battle aired, with extra scenes and dialogue. But still, it is known as one of the worst Power Rangers episodes of all time!

I still can't believe how badly Megaforce BUTCHERED such an amazing sentai series as Gokaiger
It's equally as baffling as to how they screwed up samurai so badly. That was a disgrace to shinkenger

@@icandothisallday986 I love Shinkenger (my favourite sentai) and Samurai (2nd favourite power ranger) they’re both fine. Samurai is a faithful and great adaptation. And even though we all got sick of that guitar riff. When only Samurai did it it was a great homage to Mighty Morphin. (And was sick) Bringing Bulk back was the same.
Why do ppl hate megaforce, it wasnt bad. It was pretty good.
@@icandothisallday986 yeah and dino fury is a water down version od ryusoulger like how super megaforce ignores the pirate theme of gokaiger dino fury ignores the knight theme of ryusoulger (except zayto because he's knight but for the rest of the season not really and i think koh is much better)

Operation Overdrive and Turbo were pretty good seasons, Alien Rangers who are ninjas? and Ninja Steel wasn't horrible

No the reason for the cross over was because they had footage for it and it was supposed to be a great celebration for the anniversary but they screwed up the show from the start, it should have been a new team and then they could have had a lot more make sense. The senti season was one of the best ever and they screwed it up massively. Great writing, great premise, an amazing theme for the powers and nick decides to just let the worse whiter/actors ever bastardize it, and you can’t even say it was for the toy sales only cause even that suffered, it was so bad kids didn’t even want the toys... that’s BAD
When you copies someone's work and try say that it's an original and gets ask to explain how it works. Lol Saban really didn't do Power Rangers justice.
From what I've seen and heard it's because Mighty Morphin was a fluke he didn't really understand what made it work and memorable he thought children were well just that children incapable of thought or understanding
Yeah why does toei never sue saban they should of done it years ago with mighty morphin or atleast make fun of saban in one of the sentai seasons and if they made a super sentai vs power rangers movie i would root for sentai

I'm still trying to figure out how they had the SPD powers since it was set in the future. The only explanation that makes sense is that it was in a different dimension like RPM was. Even that is a stretch when all the Rangers came back.

I know this comment is a year old but my best guess is that when Bridge came to the past in Once A Ranger, his presence left an imprint of the SPD Rangers in the Morphin Grid.
It just amuses me at how the ninja teams flexed all over the enemy, while everyone else was running around fighting one at a time.
I'll bet you anything that most of the actors that didn't get to return probably already knew it was going to be shit and really didn't want to be a part of it.

Thank you for mentioning the issue with In Space and Turbo, because when I saw that, I was confused. So wait, Zeo is there, and so is Space. Now, the Zeo rangers were Turbo for one half, and then the second half of Turbo eventually became the Space Rangers. I know that Tommy is _officially_ there as the Green Ranger, and TJ is there as the Blue Space Ranger, so... who are the Turbo Rangers? _How_ are they even there?
And saying that it's the robo Rangers is reaching, and you all know it.

Angus Yeung tbh even if it wasn’t it was poorly edited and the excessive talking during a fight ruins it. The scene was absolutely brilliant in gokaiger, the talking and bad editing ruined it in PR

It was the SPD and Dino Thunder Rangers that did a crossover
To be fair the legendary battle was a really big missed opportunity

The one good thing about Legendary Battle is the opening few scenes where Carter, Dana, Leo, TJ, Cassie, Wes, Damon, and Karone are being better heroes than the Megaforce rangers without even morphing
The one thing I've been wondering about the legendary battle is how did all the past rangers get their powers back e.g. in Mighty Morphin season 2 Tommy lost his Green Ranger powers and he returned in the legendary battle as the Green Ranger, how is that?
Probably he used the master morpher like we saw in "ninja steel: dimensions in danger" episode.
It's crazy to think that people said that this was the worst crossover event of the franchise. People once thought there's no way it could get worse.
Then Cosmic Fury happened. Turns out it COULD get worse.
The Gokaiger/Goseiger crossover movie was really good!

I'll be honest, I reckon the Time Force/Lightspeed Rescue crossover was too short, it felt more like a filler episode with some special cameos, however my biggest gripe with it was they got 5 rangers in battlizer modes, the 2 foes are charging towards them, my first time watching I thought I was about to see a smackdown between heavyweights but *no!* We get instead one laser blast from all 5 (but we only see it come from 2 due to a POV shot) and that's the end... All I can remember going was "that's it?? LET DOWN!!"
But at least there was EFFORT. The writers writing the script like
*Carter: exits lightspeed vehicle*
Carter:”Are you Wes? Red time force ranger? I'm Carter Grayson, lightspeed rescue.”
The directors executing this scene, directing and telling the actors how they want the scene to be played out etc.
It's already more effort than the entire megaforce and samurai

Yeah it would've been cool if the Legendary Ranger actually helped the Mega Rangers throughout the episodes. The Legendary Ranger could've formed all their zords into one giant megazord. In Order to destroy all the Armanda space ships.
Ya know it probably is too late for them to redo this entire season. Which sucks because instead of that season being Super Megaforce, it should’ve been something like Power Rangers: Pirates.

Both megaforce and super megaforce sucked and the "Legendary" battle was basically Saban giving the middle finger to the power rangers fans and I also think that the episode was also disrespectful.
You know a ranger team is incompetent when they have all the powers of the previous teams and some that have never been seen but still need help from the legendary rangers

While I think there have been worst P.R. crossovers, I agree with your criticisms. Another problem is that, between the dreams and the opening title sequences, so much footage of the battle had already been shown to us before the finale. Not only is the battle too short, but it also doesn't feel like we're watching that many new moments.

@@Gsgirl1 yeah, it was confusing. It was that weird period when the ninja turtles were under the Saban's label. Space was a good series, but next mutation was a lot down for tmnt fans. So yeah it's not THE worst, but it still was not the greatest.

A very weird thing is that T.J and Cassie appeared helmetless in the space ranger costume however there were turbo and zeo (in case if someone thinks that the zeo rangers were the turbo rangers but no there was both zeo and turbo).
Also Dino thunder and white tiger ranger was there
-Zeo rangers are normal 5 members (kat, rocky, adam, tanya and also trey of triforia)
-Space rangers are normal 6 members (andros, tj, carlos, cassie, ashley and zhane)
-the turbo rangers are the robot rangers from eltar (except for justin)

Know why this "Legendary Battle" is fucked up? This franchise from the beginning put too much attention on their golden boy, Tommy Oliver...and I have nothing against JDF...add to that the convoluted timeline and power source, amongst other things...

Dynaman was not a parody season, it had a parody dub but the actual season was very much a standard 80 sentai

Personally I think that the best Power Rangers crossovers are Forever Red, Once a Ranger, Shattered Grid, Ninja Storm/Dino Thunder, and Dino Thunder/SPD. If they had done Wild Force/Ninja Storm and Operation Overdrive/Jungle Fury those would’ve been good

bruh I found out about Sentai because of the RUclips vids made from Gokaiger about a Power Rangers adaptation and i was so disapointed during the legendary battle
Apart from RPM, In space, SPD, timeforce, mystic force, dino thunder and maybe jungle fury and wildforce,
All power rangers seasons are utter garbage when you compare them to their Sentai counterparts

Stupid mega force really was bad, I heard that the actor whom played basco offered to reprise his role for the character in this series and they turned him down

And if you pay attention closely all they did was paste the mega force costumes over the un morphed Gokaigers during the un morphed fights, that why they went mega for the unmorphed fights then went stupid mega at the time the Gokaigers morphed into Gokaigers

I rewatched this crossover. It literally sucked and it basically made no sense and just threw out the fact that rangers are from different dimensions.
It funny (and sad) Gokaiger was my first Super Sentai and Super Megaforce was my last Power Ranger show I watch.
The Legendary War was the thing that kill my PR fandom, they didn't even played the original Go Go Power Rangers theme doing the battle.

Once a ranger was a pretty big pile too. Just encapsulated every issue with Operation Overdrive in two episodes.
At least in the script writing process for once a ranger, you can tell there was EFFORT put into the production.
For samurai and megaforce we get complete garbage, and there was no effort at all by those in charge
